  1. As it is, we have plenty of useful skills. However there are just as many, if not more, that need to be overhauled and update.

New skills however can promote other skills making them more sought after Ex: Summoning to Hunter, Farming to Herblore.

If they can continue on the trend of Summoning we will see skills that promote the use of other skills to make them more enjoyable.

Now if I had to say what I look for in a new skill, I'd have to say I'm looking for something different. When Construction first came out it was amazing because there was all these new concepts and things, and just the whole aspect of doing something new appealed to me. So if Jagex could put in a new skill that was useful to other skills, but at the same time, nothing we have ever experience, then I will think that it is a great new skill.

  2. Geneva, 20 September 2008. During commissioning (without beam) of the final LHC sector (sector 34) at high current for operation at 5 TeV, an incident occurred at mid-day on Friday 19 September resulting in a large helium leak into the tunnel. Preliminary investigations indicate that the most likely cause of the problem was a faulty electrical connection between two magnets, which probably melted at high current leading to mechanical failure. CERN s strict safety regulations ensured that at no time was there any risk to people.

A full investigation is underway, but it is already clear that the sector will have to be warmed up for repairs to take place. This implies a minimum of two months down time for LHC operation. For the same fault, not uncommon in a normally conducting machine, the repair time would be a matter of days.

Further details will be made available as soon as they are known.

1 CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is the world's leading laboratory for particle physics. It has its headquarters in Geneva. At present, its Member States are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. India, Israel, Japan, the Russian Federation, the United States of America, Turkey, the European Commission and UNESCO have Observer status.

Hey we get to live for another two+ months. This is seeming to be an epic waste of money, theyve already had 2 uh-ohs. Whats to say when they get it fired up in november or later that it won't break another sector? Way to go Cern..

  3. I voted for Fremmy Isles because there is a lot of higher leveled stuff there. But this could have potential like they could use this poll.

Which Quest line should get the next quest?

    or

    Which skill should we implement?

    or

Which Skill deserves to be updated the most?.

See this is PERFECT! We now have say in some of what Jagex is doing.

The Diary is really easy to implement mostly due to the fact is doesn't require a lot of "Additional Programming" like a new qust might.

  4. In "Lurk, thesis-stink! Oh, till goofier homonym." I've sorted out the words and found history, summoning, and skill are in there leaving lkheithtoofero as the remaining letters.

The words skill and summoning are definitely in there, looks like a confirmation of summoning soon perhaps? :P

Edit: Think I cracked it, "Look, the history of their summoning skill!" uses all the letters of "Lurk, thesis-stink! Oh, till goofier homonym."

Not to be mean or anything but I literally posted that earlier so read the topic before coming to conclusions.

  5. Don't mean to be Johnny Raincloud, but I have heard most of those sounds (Some of the weird ones and the footstep ones) for at least a couple of months now. See back in March I was burning willows in Varrock and I heard the footstep sounds and the off fountain sounds..I doubt they would've added it that long ago.

  6. Okay If they update the old skills to make a faster way to level, many people will use it. But the people who already got like 99 in that skill will be mad because they didn't have that to use. It would be like craftable planks, easy and cheap, but the people who have like 60-99 would be mad because they didn't have it. Even if they did update older skills, there'd still be people complaining.

  7. This is seemingly the PERFECT time for a new skill. Kids getting out of school for summer, most college kids off for the summer, and it is a great way to get new members. Look at last years release of con, every members world had at least 1700-1900+ people in it the day it was released. Now if you make a new skill that brings in...im gonna guess around 2-5 thousand members, like new ones coming in or old ones coming back. This is the same philosophy as Summer movies. People are on breaks, taking vacations so why not watch a movie? Well people are off for break why not pay $5 and play runescape.

I actually love new skill releases. Its sorta like a time of "noobiness" because everyone is at the same field of playing, like during Hunter I was level 30 or something and I talked to level 60's who were in the 40's. It sorta reminds me of the good old days when I was a noob.

  8. that would be a pretty bad skill lol

Why does everyone associate New Skill=Bad. Every new skill they have added has given us plenty of new things.

Slayer-Whips, boots, and all sorts of new items

Farming-P++, faster way to level herb, and faster ways to gather 2nds

Construction-tele tabs, alters, costume rooms, plus private drop places.

Hunter-Fastest Range Xp, and Spot Capes.

Archaeology has potential to be an awesome skill when you think about it, just give it more thought and don't automatically think its bad...Sheesh whats up with Pessimism.
