It isnt a lie. I believe it because the guy isnt asking anything in return and is just using the fourms there as an oulet to express his emotions. I think that it is harsh to say he is the scammer instead. Why the person killed himself on that day is to be blamed on the scammer.

Did you check the screenshot? It looks like the scammer didnt care that he wanted to kill himself.
