  1. Well its been 3 and a half weeks since I started this. I am very proud to say I have since lost 28 pounds and am still going strong! I think I still have about 2-3 months until I am at my goal because the pounds will start to come off slower now I think. Thanks for the support everyone and just wanted to give a little check in. :D
  2. Thanks a lot for those calcs! Gave me an idea of how many calories I should eat and how overweight I am. :)
  3. Wow tttia, 7 feet tall! :o Thanks a lot for the advice! Do you happen to know any websites with a good calorie calculator? I will also look into cutting down on the meats (I'm not a big meat eater anyways) and eating more veggies. Just got home from school and I'm about to go for the 5 mile ride. I won't overdo it tttia so I don't injure any plumbing. I also bought 10, 20, and 30 pound weights just to start a little moderate lifting. :) Thanks for cleaning up the thread Sunli! :D
  4. Ok thanks a lot Sunli for your expertise! :P Schwarz, that is what I am going to try to do is change my lifestyle to eating a lot more heathier and exercising more. :)
  5. Dear god! This was not only a very bad advice but also a dangerous advice! :o If you follow this advice you will soon end up in a hospital - with a tube down your nose - hopefully not dieng. Ice, I pray to god you dont live like this? If so, please consult a doctor asap! Sheesh yeah I thought that was rather harsh lol.. :o I am eating about 5 meals a day but very small ones. Exercising is going well as I just finished my second day work out. My legs hurt from the bike ride but it has a satisfying feeling. Also Sunli, I was wondering about your coffee and tea comment. You said tea and coffee triggers your metabolism before any meals in the morning. Does that mean I should drink a little of one or the other right after I get up? Thanks again everyone! :D
  6. Don't worry, my uncle is a doctor and I have already talked to him about this. :) Also Sunli, thanks for all of those wonderful tips! I am drinking about 2 liters of water a day and that is keeping my stuffed! :o I don't really have a sweet tooth so that isn't a problem for me I don't think. :) Thanks for the tips everyone! Starting Day Two today!
  7. Heh thanks for that, made me laugh. I am 100% committed. I biked 5.2 Miles today along with the 100 situps + pushups. Man I am pooped. :P
  8. Ok thanks a lot! I am going to show my parents this site and see what they will allow me to take. Also thanks for the advice adthegreat and sunnman! :)
  9. Wow thank you so much for writing all of that up! :D I am going to the website to check it out. But I have just one question... If I get any whey protein, will it make me lose weight slower because I want to first lose the weight than gain more muscle. :) Thanks!
  10. Wow sounds like my plan should work then.
  11. Well I have decided to lose some weight as I am overweight. I am going to cut back on rs a ton and only play after exercising or at night. I am also going to eat healthier by intaking more fruits, vegetables, meat, and only whole grain breads. I plan on biking for 5 miles per day around my neighborhood. I also plan on doing 50 push-ups and sit ups in the morning before school and 50 of each before bed. Also I love to swim so if the weather is nice enough I can do that also. Once I feel a little more fit, I will try to run 1-2 of those miles. Is this a good exercise plan or do I need to do more or less of a certain thing? I am looking to lose around 35 lbs. Once I have lost significant weight I will go to the gym to build muscle and to keep fit. Only problem is that the only gym around here is very expensive at about 600-800 dollars per year. I am only 15 so that kind of money is a slight problem. Can anyone suggest what kind of weights or things to buy for exercising and what exercises are good for losing weight? I was thinking about trying to buy a bowflex ( ) because I heard they produce very good results. Has anyone ever used one of these and are they any good? Thanks a lot everyone, any input is appreciated. :)
