Well i've taken like a year break from runescape and i wanted to come back, but i don't know what to do. I'll get bored very easily trying to just kinda level up a skill like mining. I need like a goal that will get me somewhere and will be fun. Any ideas? Stats are about average..some in the 30,40,50's

I highly doubt you have dual quad cores and 4 gigs of ram. Those specs are for a server, not a home pc. Please give us your real specs. I also believe those benchmarks are not 100% accurate. The Nvidia drivers that these benchmarks used were not the newest for Vista (from looking at hardocp the website who actually benched this), which the new ones are considered the first "real" Vista drivers. They didn't benchmark ATI cards with XP and Vista. ATI drivers are a little more developed for Vista at the moment. Granted Vista does have it's flaws but if you can upgrade for very little money or for free, I would do it. Your going to have to upgrade to it eventually and if you can for free, might as well before the offer expires. For the formating the hard drive you may have to erase everything but there is an option to upgrade and keep your files, but I don't know how good that works. Still make sure you have everything backed up in case something does go wrong. Lol right because you know what type of computer i have? QX6700 quad-core processor 4GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667 mhZ 768MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX Yes dell shipped me the vista cd for free it came with the computer.

Ahh thank you for telling me that it deletes everything on my machine, that helps me a lot! :D But yeah i think XP might be a little faster but with my computer i won't even be able to tell i dont think. Got 4gigs of ram and dual quatro cores something something haha. So if i have a very high end computer do yall think i will be able to notice any difference?

Well i just got the vista upgrade option in the mail from dell and now i'm debating on upgrading or not. I have windows XP right now and my computer can easily fully handle vista. Can vista use basically every program/game that XP can use? Should i upgrade? It says i need to back up any important files from my computer, is it trying to tell me that it's going to erase my hard drive or is that just like a safety precaution just in case something goes wrong?

Alright well i use Linksys wireless internet and i have a Very good connection with a 38-54 Mbps rate. This is where my internet would normally be running very fast and i can play any game i want and have no lag what so ever. Now though even though i have this good connection..my internet is terribly slow. I'm think that means it has something to do with the modem? Or possibly the provider? Any ideas on what to check and what not? And the it sometimes [bleep]es and the internet becomes fast..but mostly slow.

Alright well i just installed firefox and tried to watch a video but it said i needed to download additional software. So i installed windows media player 11 and tried watching the video again, but it still tells me to install the same software that i have already installed. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do to watch videos?

What will that do? OK, right click "My Computer". Click properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery Settings > Uncheck the box that says 'Automatically restart'. When it next shuts down, it will hopefully display a blue screen with a whole load of weird writing on. Write down the STOP code: 0x00000 (0000x0000x0000x0000), the message at the top of the screen in capital letters and, if there is one, the file that is playing up. Alright thanks ill try this. Edit: K well my computer didnt restart for about a day and during that period i changed the "automatically restart" setting. Sometime later it restarted and it came to a black blank screen with just a little line flashing as in waiting for you to type something. This had happened to me a few years back and so i tried something that i used to do which is manually restarting and then going into the Bios and just going to "Save and Exit". I did that and now everytime i start up it freezes at the section of where it tells you to hit "Del" to enter bios. Btw if yall havent noticed im typing this on a different computer.

Dusted it like a week ago and looked around and it looked normal from what i can tell. Yes it does shut down with out a warning. I just got 1 warning today for the first time ever and it gave me a minute timer until it restart automatically. It said something like this : C:\WINDOWS\System32\services[Caution: Executable File] ..then im not sure if it said something in between that and what ima bout to say..terminated unexpectedly with code 1073741819

Hey i was wondering if yall could help me here. My computer used to restart usually once every day but now its coming to its restarting before it even starts up now or within 5 minutes of startup. It just restarts without a warning and boots back up. I replaced my power supply so i don't think thats not it. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this or what it could be?

I feel like I deserve the 10m gp because I'm always nice. Just the other day, a player was kindly having a casual conversation with me and kept talking just to make time fly. I ended up giving him full set of addy and he thanked me gratefully because he wasn't being rude like others would if you tried to have a nice chat. I know full addy isn't much to most of us, but he was only around level 25 and i thought he'd use it in the future.
