Maybe they've been browsing the forums for a long time and finally have something worth posting? It's not fair to single people out, what makes their achievements less worthy than someone with higher post count? Nothing, their achievement is as perfectly good as any. On top of that users may sign up to post an achievement then due to the positive feedback they've gotten it might encourage them to contribute more to the forum as a whole. And I'm fairly sure compfreak was joking about the 18+ thing ;)

It's not needed. There's no Guarantee that a member of staff would be on at the time of the update. If multiple topics do get created then the others will get locked leaving just one topic.

No. 1) Certain Forums don't give post count so that'd be unfair on users who use the said forums. 2) It's not needed anyway, people with 0 post count have just as much right as anyone else to post on these forums.

We've had 2 months without BTS and 2 months with, each of the two sets of months have had roughly the same number of updates. Jagex late last year I believe it was that they'll be cutting down the number of updates and we shouldn't expect them every week, on top of that they've said this year will be an upgrade year. You've stated all the content updates but decide to ignore the other upgrades the game has undergone in that time including a few engine changes. Sure the amount of content so far this year has been disappointing, as has the content itself but it didn't come as a surprise if you'd paid attention to what Jagex have been telling you. Even with BTS we'd still not know why Mobilising Armies has been delayed and it's not the sort of thing that Development Diaries are about, I really think you're missing the reason behind them and are thinking of them as a straight replacement for behind the scenes which they're not intended to be.

This is turning into a discussion of moderator actions which is not allowed - we've answered the original post, admitting to breaking RS rules is against the rules and you will get punished for doing so. What this punishment is varies from case to case and we can not say what punishments have been given out for certain cases in the past.

This is pretty much the case, depending on the severity of the glitch and to what extent you abused it, the history on your account and a few other things will depend what action is taken. In most cases you will get a PM sent to you as a warning, or if the glitch is deemed bad enough/you post it a lot then the most likely course of action would be a temporary ban. I can not go into what has happened to past offenders but I can say that more has happened then the post just being removed.

Where did I say that? It clearly says in the rules that breaking RS rules (including admitting to bug abusing) can we have action taken - up to and including a permanent ban depending on the offence.

Yes, there will be new charts, I assume some will be significantly different while others will be virtually the same, will have to wait and see.

Oh, so you just mean that actually violating the rules (using language, macroing) in things unrelated to RS are bannable? It clears that up, but I wasn't aware that people could brag about glitches without receiving anything other then a mild slap of the hand and post removal. The way I read it was quite simple and easy to follow: Ban for bragging about\posting screenhots\continuing after a mod has removed posted and posted to stop several times, and I was confused as to why it wasn't happening. I guess TIF has no rules for bragging about bug abusing to gain massive amounts of wealth as well as posting screenshots and detailing methods required. IMO it's a perm ban worthy offense (just like it is on RS), but I guess the mods don't see it that way. Report the posts instead of whining about it. we're not mind readers there's no way we can tell what posts you are talking about.

The only punishment that is visible are locked topics and permanent bans (And temporary bans over a certain length). All other action that is taken against users is private and not allowed to be discussed (be it a warning or whatever). As for clarification, it's hard to do as each situation will be different. The definition of what a bug is doesn't help either, for example safe spots in the sara gwd boss room were technically "bugs" as Jagex didn't intend them to be there but using them doesn't count as bug abuse as it could very well have been a "feature". The best thing to do is if you're unsure on if a post is against the rules is to report it anyway, it doesn't do any harm and the moderator who handles the report will decide if it breaks the rules or not. It's annoying for us as well as you that we can't clarify it more than that but if we had to list ever single individual scenario then the list of rules would be miles long. Just use your common sense when it comes to things you're posting to avoid getting in trouble, if you're unsure if a post you want to make would be against the rules or not, ask a moderator first and they should be able to help you before you post it. Hopefully that helps.

An interesting diary, these are definitely getting better and I like the new idea for the fairy model.

I thought Stone Cold Crazy was going to be the first guitar hero song that came out by Queen. And frankly, I'm suprised because Killer Queen has piano. Only one song would of made that better, Texas Flood #-o EDIT- Just notice no bonus songs, Does this mean NO JORDAN or Six? :-# TTFAF was a bonus song in GH3 and is in, so don't give up hope!

I could point to literally dozens of posts in General Discussion, and quite a few in the picture thread by various people bragging about abusing the glitch and posting screenshots etc, all remaining unbanned as of the time of this post. I could mention a few notorious examples like I'm sure Dan is referring to, but it voilated the "names" rule, so I'll refer to it simply as "The unknown account rhyming with "husky"". Husky, as this account is referred to hereafter, posted dozens of times bragging about abusing the glitch, posting screenshots of drops and usage of it. Mods responded by deleting the posts after a few days, posting something about spamming, and promptly dropping the whole issue. The rules make no bones about it - admit to breaking RS rules, and your instantly perm banned from TIF. What happened to that? It was over a month ago, either the admins haven't logged in in a reeeely long time or the rules aren't being observed as they should be. And how do you know further action wasn't taken? You have NO idea of what happens "behind the scenes", you don't know what action we take in certain cases so quit saying we don't do anything, all the posts I've seen from you recently have been complaining about us moderators not doing our job properly well I can inform you that we ARE doing our job. The rules state it is CAUSE for being permanently banned, that does NOT mean that we have to permanently ban someone for doing so, we can take lesser action if it's warranted and if needed to we will ban. Most of the Jagex rules are very vague, on top of this they are suitable for their game/website and not all of their rules make sense having on these forums too. Admitting to ABUSING bugs is against the rules and depending on the severity of the abuse and what bug it is (obviously if it's a harmless bug then we'd not do anything about it, as that's not abuse) action will be taken, this can vary from a locked topic, to a warning, to some sort of ban. We can't see every single post ever made on these forums so if you see a post which breaks the rules then REPORT IT, the report button is there for a reason.

I've played very little over the last few months myself, as a player who is mainly interested in the combat side of things, I feel I've done everything that it has to offer in that regard. With 93 slayer I have no reason to train it other than to get 99, 96 mage means I can do every spell currently in the game, I have high enough prayer for every single spell, the only combat skill I still have something to get out of is summoning but to get that up requires grinding slayer pretty much. I've slain all the monsters in the game (besides Corporeal Beast) multiple times, I used to enjoy killing Mithril Dragons but since the release of PvP worlds that's now pointless, tormented demons are fun, however I have no drive to kill them, I don't need money as I don't really plan on levelling any of my skills at this point so that rules out GWD as something to do also. I've done all the high end content Jagex has to offer as well as all the quests leaving me with only skilling to do, something I'm not too fond of. There's one piece of content I've been waiting for for over 5 years now, randomly generated scenarios. That update, if done correctly could bring life back into the game for me and many other players, having a dungeon or something generated for you and a group of friends based on your levels would be fantastic. However, I doubt we'll be seeing that any time soon. I'll still subscribe to the game, I'll still check out the new content and maybe Jagex will surprise us and bring out some new content that actually has some lasting appeal to it unlike 90% of the updates we get.
