  1. Starting to go through and do all classic instances to get the achievements for that, can probably solo up to BRD solo but BRD is so big and annoying to solo I got bored halfway through yesterday and just quit. Can probably do all of them up to 60 with my housemate on his level 64 druid healing. Then I guess I'll try and find a way to do the Raids, Already done Zul-Gurub a while back. Got invited to Sunwell Plataeu group just now, we had 12 people, quite a few level 80s. We killed the first set of mobs which took like 5 minutes for what only looked like 3 mobs then wiped in the next room lol, I had no idea what was going on to be fair to me =P
  2. Really see no need for this topic to have been bumped so I'm locking it.
  3. I'd define a "casual" internet user as someone who mainly uses it for email/work and goes to very few sites other than that except for popular ones (Facebook/MySpace/YouTube etc.) and aren't in any sort of online community. Tip.It is an online Community, the forum aspect is anyway, I could see "casual" users perhaps using the site for help but not much more than that. I've been here since the day the TIF opened, I "know" a lot of users on here just based on what they've posted in these boards over that time, but I'm not friends with everyone of them, I might respect what they say here and "like" them as a user but I don't know anything about them. The users of this forum I speak to in game for example are the sort of people that perhaps I'd like to know what they're doing, in which case I follow their blogs, or if they don't have one I'm sure if they have something so important that they felt the need to tell people they'd tell me personally in game. Although I do like reading what other users are doing/have done I go to the screenshot thread or the Rate This/Blogscape board to read about what the "normal" user is doing (People who I aren't friends with). There's a difference between Friends of whom you're likely to have an interest in and people you "know" from an internet forum.
  4. I was surprisingly not playing any worse for the rest of All Nightmare long, happened in the first set of long alt-strumming notes, it just hurt like hell lol. Got 705k for it too, my 2nd best score for that song (over all games) But it hurt too much to continue playing after :P
  5. Facebook: Used by people you know well and already know what they're interested in because of it. A lot of people who use Facebook are "casual" internet users. Tip.It: Used by people who play (or played) a game and want to discuss that game. Generally the people who play RS/use these forums are more than "casual" internet users. Completely different people use them. If, for example, I'm reading the thread on a new update I don't want to know that you've just got 85 mining or whatever, that wouldn't effect the way I responded or read that thread and it could potentially lead to off-topic posting (People congratulating you in that topic etc.). If you got 85 mining you could post about it in several places, RS picture thread in GD, Rate This forum, or your blog. All those places would be acceptable and people would look at it in all of those places and most likely reply. If you just got back from a Tip.It Event post about it in the Aftermath thread that gets posted, or again post about it in your blog or perhaps post a few pictures/videos in the Screenshot thread.
  6. S&R just doesn't want to be FCed, I can FC it (both versions) but ugh, I've had like 10 runs on each song with -5 or less, each of them with misses in completely different places. That's over all 3 games too, GH3, GH:WT and GH:M. Have 190/195 stars on Metallica now, just missing 5 5*s, one from DLC, the slayer song (2.782x multiplier or something once >_<) and then fight fire with fire and two other metallica songs I've forgotten now >_< all of them involve alt strumming and silly chords, I can get 40+ combo all the time, then lose it shortly after hitting 50 so I have a crap multiplier. Argh. I FCed a lot of solos today, hitting things I have no right in hitting, can't remember which songs off by heart but some of the things I didn't even know how I hit them, guess my fingers and brain were linked well today. I would probably have them 5*s by now if my wrist didn't start hurting during All Nightmare Long, guess that's because I've not played GH/RB in about a week.
  7. Well how many people in this thread want it and compare that to the people that don't. Statistically speaking it wouldn't get much use ;)
  8. But how does knowing that effect anyone? As I said if you want people to know what you're doing - make a blog. The reason blogs go to page 3 is that there are blogs that have been updated since and thus are at the top, if your blog goes down to page 3 then no one has anything to say on your recent post and maybe it's time to update. If you really want to let other people knowing what you're doing, the screenshot sticky in general seems like a good place to do that, a lot of people there already post what they're currently doing with pictures, at times it's basically a blog with multiple users posting content, maybe you could contribute to that?
  9. The side bar to the left is limited - having large amounts of text up there, for the status to mean anything important then it simply can not go there, having a few words which is all you'd be able to fit there would be pointless. If you want to post an Achievement use the rate this board. If people don't post in your blog then obviously they have nothing to say on it or are simply not interested, the blogscape board is the current place for what you want even if you can't see that. If people are interested in what you want then they will track your blog which there are various ways of doing it, on top of this you can simply edit the thread title to whatever you'd have your status as and it'd be the same, then if people want they can click on your blog and read in further detail. In your profile there is already room for your interests etc. adding status for this purpose is pointless. I never said TIFers were icy to each other, I respect a lot of users on here and enjoy reading what they post about certain subjects, but I don't want to know what they're all currently doing, I don't want to know if they've just got back from a day out in town or whatever, or even if it was restricted to what they're doing then I'd follow their blog if they have one. I just think it'd be a totally pointless feature with 0 uses.
  10. To be honest no one cares what you're doing (not you personally), it works on Facebook as the people you have their are friends and not just random people off the internet. If people on here do care what you're doing and you care enough to tell them - start a blog, that's what blogscape is for. It's something that would add very little, if anything to the forums, I personally would find it rather annoying, especially if it was the left with username etc. as it would more likely than not be too long to fit there without it looking horrid.
  11. Please post all Runescape related pictures, videos and sounds in this topic! The old topic can be found here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=785941 A new thread was created because the old one became too long. Thank you.
  12. Please use the thread already for World Of Warcraft. Thanks.
  13. GH3 setlist out, same as the leaked one again so it looks 100% confirmed now.
  14. I've always wanted to try going into the slayer tower naked then seeing how long it would take me to get all the slayer items from that dungeon and do the same for the slayer cave. Obviously bringing a rock hammer and nose peg/slayer mask would be allowed, you wouldn't be allowed to leave the slayer tower until you have one of each item in your inventory. To obtain equipment you'd have to get someone to come in and sell you equipment etc. Would be fun to try at some point, reason I haven't tried it myself is I haven't found anyone willing to come sell me stuff when I need it :(
  15. Please use one of the existing topics on this. Thanks.
  16. As this thread has turned into spam/flaming I'm going to lock it. Please use the CoD4 thread if you wish to discuss it further. Thanks.
  17. Dinged 70 last night, now the real grinding begins :D
  18. I have 11 to go and and just sick of grinding those levels out now, at least the WotlK quests are fairly straight forward and interesting.
  19. Oh right, it looked to me like you'd tried again afterwards and still not 5*ed it.
  20. You can't 5* Talk Talkin'? I've FCed it (Or atleast 100% as I assume it doesn't have only 300 notes in it lol). I can't remember what it's like though, been a long time since I played.
  21. The other boss would be iron council, honestly a joke of a boss lol. It did look a bit boring, but it's certainly more interesting than all the bosses I've killed =P They wiped on it 5+ times before finally doing it. Think they've got 6 bosses downed now. Am hopefully going to join his guild once I reach 80.
  22. Saw my housemate in Ulduar earlier, he killed Ignis (didn't see) and another boss (Was in 3 parts, one of them flew up in the air and had lightning shooting down) which I saw, was interesting :P 68 atm, can't wait until I get to 80.
  23. What about people who read every single topic but rarely post? Why shouldn't they be allowed to post when they feel they have something to contribute? Anyway, it doesn't matter why it wouldn't work, it's impossible to do on these boards without some sort of mod, even then I don't know if such a mod exists.
  24. I believe the rest anywhere function will still be there, but the listening to the bard part will restore it quicker than that even.
