Ok so to clarify attack increases the chance you won't hit between 1 and 9 now? Because you can still hit 0.

If attack is supposed to increase the chance you don't hit 0, does this new update negate the worthiness of having a high attack? For example, now instead of hitting a 0 you have a chance to hit like a 2. Or has attack always meant higher chance to hit more damage?

Just if it changes anything, this is an only f2p account. So I saw this post somewhere (I think on another site) that said something along the lines of that a higher range level increases your ability to do something (obviously beside range itself) So I know higher mage means higher mage defense (right?), so it said something like higher range increases something else, like range defense or attack? Or maybe affects your melee ability? So if anyone could confirm or deny this that'd be great, thanks.
