  1. Somebody use to have a quote in their sig from years back saying something like "Tip.it where everybody is over 6 feet tall and have an average shoe size of 14." Its nice to see that doesn't apply so much anymore. Anyway for project I am a 10.

  2. Oh, I'm already aware that alcohol is dangerous - I haven't seen real evidence to suggest it is so much more dangerous than marijuana that their legal positions should be reversed.

Alcohol is worse for many body organs. Most notabely the brain and liver. Also it is much easier to abuse or over use alcohol. Blacking out, alcohol poisioning, and even death are consequences of drinking to much. I've heard rediculous figures like you need to smoke pounds of weed in a session to die. So thats not very probable.

  3. But here's the question: Is Marijuana the best way to treat the depression or pain? Is there nothing out there that would be more ideal to help with the problem? Somehow, I find the idea that something that comes from a plant grown in someone's backyard, prepared, and smoked is more effective than anything modern medicine has already come up with unlikely. Not impossible, just unlikely.

Can someone correct me on this?

I question the same thing. In terms of power. No. There are lots of drugs more powerful. However many leave the person unable to function, as in drive cars and such. Don't get me wrong. I don't want people driving marijuana driving cars. However they are more functional Than somebody on prescription pain killers. But honestly I don't see how it is particularly more effective than just high dosages of over the counter pain killers.

  4. And besides pain killing what medical uses does it have?

Pain killing is kind of a big deal. It's got use as an anti-nausea med for people getting chemo, nausea and appetite loss in AIDs patients, reducing intra-ocular pressure (glaucoma), anxiety reduction are some. The Institute of Medicine did a pretty good study/report:

    http://search.nap.edu/openbook.php?isbn=0309071550

However, they're conclusion is pretty much dead on unfortunately, and why I am not confident that we'll see it legalized any time soon

Cannabinoid-based drugs will only become available if public investment in cannabinoid drug research is sustained and if there is enough incentive for private enterprise to develop and market such drugs.

Marijuana wouldn't be useful as a main drug to treat the disease, it would be used to suppress symptoms of the disease/condition.

Ha how could I forget about the munchies. Actually I do believe taht would be a legitment use of medical marijuana. I don't think there are any other drugs out there that enduce hunger.

  5. I think there are many people who self-diagnose medical marijuana because they like the idea of being able to do it legally. It's not everyone, but I think it is some.

    I completely agree.

That said, I think anyone who buys the medicinal marijuana argument is a delusional idiot who's looking for excuses to make it easier to get their next high. I have no time for those people.

How can you deny that marijuana has medical uses? I mean hell, there are synthetic forms of it that are sold by pharmaceutical companies. Kind of low of you to think that people who suffer pain are using it as an excuse to get weed and don't try to get legal pain killers cause they need their weed. I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of people using weed for medicinal purposes never tried it before they needed it

I agree with that (except maybe with your last sentence), but I have a feeling we might have misinterpreted what he said. Doesn't sound like him.

I'd be positive that the last line is bs. And besides pain killing what medical uses does it have?

  6. Well apparently, not all pain medications are equal. I wouldn't know, I'm neither a patient nor a doctor.

Marijuana can be consumed without inhaling smoke, but if it's the dosage you're worried about, yeah, I guess that could work, except there are many psychoactive substances in cannabis, other than THC. THC alone may not have the same effect.

All pain medications aren't created equal. Some people react badly or even have alergic reactions to some and alright to others. And some will be stronger to you than others. But going to that many doctors just for medical marijuana is a stretch.

And yes I'm aware of that. It really wasnt the smoke I was refering too. Just the idea of a prescribing a prescription and issues that should be associated with that but often aren't.

  7. If I wanted to carry it around legally, have a steady supply and not have to pay for the marijuana. Sure. I assume the Canadian government pays for that stuff? Im not really familiar with all of their healthcare laws.

As dusky said, it's readily available and it's hard to get caught. I don't see how it's worth the effort.

Alright that is true. It is usually readily availbable and I can only think of a few friends who have any sort of legal trouble with marijuana.

I was just more directing it at the extream of somebody approaching 37 doctors. Just if somebody approaches that many doctors, one you think they'd would have settled for some other drug by that point should there be a need for a precription pain medication. And that number either supports that the medical community is generally against medical marijuana, or that are uneducated about the pros and cons of using it as a pain killer.

I never really posted my stance on this yet. But I'm all for the use of medical marijuana if it can be proven benifical by a nonbiased organization/research firm. Just one thing i personally question, if it's legal, should it be smoked? When you smoke you really cannot control a dosage size. The effect of the amount you smoke is dependent on how you smoke it and your tollerance to the drug. Personally if it is legalized it should be the THC that is and perhaps is extracted from the marijuana and put into a pill form where a dosage can be controlled and consistant.

  8. Doctors prescribe things to have a positive effect. If they wanted to prescribe something with no negatives the would prescribe water. It isn't that it has no negatives, it's that they have no proof it is beneficial.

A simple video is not enough for medical research. If a whole countries doctors see there is not enough proof, there is a serious lack of information out there. They are much better of prescribing something they know is beneficial than something they don't know.

Again, to the post above, I'm not saying it has negative effects. People seem to be confusing this with legalising Marijuana. This is about doctors not knowing the positives well enough to prescribe it over something else.

It could be in some cases. It's not hard to prove morphine is a painkiller, and as I said, a similar test can prove pot works in some cases. Not all treatments work for everybody, that doesn't mean they're illegal, criminal, and deemed as dangerous as heroin.

"Twenty-one patients from across the country testified in the case, saying they were rejected by doctors a total of 113 times.

One Alberta patient was refused by 26 doctors; another in Vancouver approached 37 physicians without finding a single one to sign off on the form."

Would you approach 37 different physicians asking for dope knowing the long delays involved when you can get other medication?

If I wanted to carry it around legally, have a steady supply and not have to pay for the marijuana. Sure. I assume the Canadian government pays for that stuff? Im not really familiar with all of their healthcare laws.

  9. Just responding to the video. People many people like the guy in the video claim that medical marijuana is the only pain killer that works for them say that because they want to believe that. The mind is a powerful thing. And people telling themselves that will be enough for them to think the pain is less. Granted many of the common prescription pain killers (vicodin, oxycontin, Percocet) will make the person a lot less functional that smoking marijuana. However who says you cannot just take 800mg of tylenol or something else similar. And have similar feeling of pain reduction depending on what you have.

Im not saying this because Im anti marijuana, but if you legalize it for medical uses youve basically got no choice but to legalize it for all purposes. Just its use would quickly spread outside the use of patients.

  10. Hi, since my last thread here went unanswered I'll figure I'll ask another question with a more specific question. Basically I want to make my pure currently 38 range 28 hp into a staker. It seems that a common trend is to use soul wars to get really high hp and just outlast the opponent in the duel. Does this method actually work? And what are ideal level to do this. Thanks.

  11. Hello all,

So as many people I am interested in getting into staking. Currently I have 2 accounts. A main with: 65 attack, 73 strength, 56 defence, 49 Range, 52 Prayer, 73 magic, and 68 HP, and if it matters 47 dungineering with no tokens spent. I realize this account is far from being in a good position to stake and I'd lose all of my money. My range pure has 31 range and 22 HP. Ofcouse I'd have to train this old pure up some more. But do either of these accounts have anything going for them? If I've looked at alot of staking videos and pictures and it seems boxing/mage boxing is the most popular way to go. I assume that is because of dungineering weapons? And if boxing is a good way to start what are some ideal stats.

    Thank you for your time.

  12. Can't imagine what the set will be worth.

I'm assuming by the time FT arrives, there will still be some degree of "street" value to items worth more than the allowed 2.47B limit.

My friend believes the exact same thing. I also think he has the right idea that maybe pumpkins and easters will be that street again. They are rare, low in "GE" price so you can add that to remainder of max cash. And come up a trade that is worth 2.1b+. Just food for thought.

  13. Hi, Quick question, what is the most efficent way to distribute you MTK workers. Everyone seems to do logs but what do they do with the other 5 people? Thanks.

    uhhmm....I see no manipulation.

Recheck. It it went up %4.5ish in the past 24 hours. And Tim this really isn't a me vs other merchants on this forum. And as far as I could tell Tip.it didn't/doesn't support price manipulation clans so I don't think many people on this form would mind seeing a person dump on them.

  15. Hello,

I'm not really asking about joining any specific merchant clans, but does anyone know what merchant clan just started merchanting strenght ammys? And their dump price if possible? I bought about 20k a week and a half ago because I figured it would be manipulated soon due to a lack of maniulation in nearly a month and I'd like to safely maxamize my profits. :shades:

    Any help is appricated.

  16. I honestly think this thread should be locked.

It's turned from a lower level player making a Harmless suggestion because he thought it was decent (and I would really find it hard to believe if everyone here didn't at some point in the RS life think that making 200k+ an hour was amazing), into a full out "argue with the low levels because we're knowledgeable"

Lay of the guy seriously...for more experienced players, yes, there are MANY MANY better methods, but we were all the same point this guy was thinking making a few hundred K was awesome. Don't flame someone just because they're in that current time in their RS time and you're not anymore.

I agree entirely. Not only do I agree once again this is a prime example of how the tip.it community has gone down hill. Now I haven't exactly been a frequent poster. But I lurk the hell out of this site. And this is one of the more ugly threads with the trolls comments and flames of frequent tip.it members. Now this guy who started the topic isn't exactly a new poster but he hasn't been here long and I wouldn't blame him if he didn't come back to this site. Yes he posted a money making method. Is it the best one in runescape? No. Is it good for a lower level. Yes. And whoever started the thing with killing men is better money probably got very lucky with that sarcastic guess to put the OP down. And the xp for killing men is so many times worse than killing the cave slime so you get 3k xp an hour max?

  17. Making a low level range pure. Anything I should know,? Like helpful hits to avoid leveling hp and stuff like that? Also a good area to start training at low levels. Its pure range. No 2h.

    Thanks.

  18. Hi. So I'm alittle confused on this prestige deal with dungineering. Like I understand once I have no other levels I can complete. But lets say I redo the last 5 floors after prestiging. I feel like if I go lower than that I am wasting time and xp. And it feel really inefficent. Anyone care to share how to they dungineer and maintain good experience.

    Thanks

  19. Adam, can't you just go to your/her place when your parents aren't home, like during the day or something? That's what I'd do...

Thats a very trashy idea. Sorry but most girls I know don't like the idea of going somewhere just for sex. At least in the beginning of a relationship. Maybe once they are more comfortable with you, and possibly enjoy it, you can pull that stuff off.

  20. If other methods don't work out, will you get an abortion?

I find that unlikely. First off its not my decision. She is against them anyway and I'm not going to push the issue. If she does go through with it we will do one of those adoption things where it goes directly to a couple that cannot have kids.

She didn't tell me right off though because she didn't want me to spend the $50.00 on a plan B.

That would piss me off. I've only been really angry once in my life and it takes a lot, but that would do it for me. It's only $30, and if she was that worried she could have paid for some of it. The price of the pill is a [cabbage] load cheaper than the price of a kid.

I was mad at first when she told me. But it wasn't like she waited a few days. It was more until next time she went to take a pill and it was like uh we shouldn't have done it. So more hesitation? But I cannot really be pissed at her because it takes two to mess up. I didn't wear a condom so I really cannot blame it all on her.

As for magegoogles, I hope it all works out well. Be proud that you may have a kid soon. It's really a beautiful thing. Planned or otherwise.

    Thanks.

They had sex on the days that the doctor told them not to. That's not bad luck.

He said accidents happen. I'm not sure if her no-sex day was shifted unexpectedly or if she just didn't care.

It was an accident. It was more the fact she forgot she wasn't on a real pill that day. And yes I do believe that it shifted a day or two varying from month to month.

After a few months of having sex we decided going raw is more fun

    Really?

Anyway, I was in a similar situation in 2008. My girlfriend and I were in the States when we found out she was 4 months preggas. We decided to terminate and it was illegal in CT so we had to jump states. Nothing has made me feel so rotten in my whole life. But it was a decision we gave a lot of consideration to and despite her religious convictions and my sense of duty we knew we would be doing a disservice to ourselves and society by attempting to soundly raise a child while still at school.

We talked about existentialism and what gives life meaning (according to us). In hindsight the steps we went through and the consideration we gave made it easier and a decision we were less likely to regret. Remember that its something you will have to live with the rest of your life either way. We also decided that regret wasn't productive and that we would make steps to help children who are malnourished/dying and make a difference that way.

Contraception is a big deal and abstinence isn't that bad once you get past social assumptions and barriers

Haha yes. Not worth it though once stuff like this happens sadly.

And thanks for that input. Again its not my decision. I'm leaving it entirely up to her since she has to be the one to carry the baby and such. I'm like 90 percent positive that her mom has had one before. And if she finds out she will force on her despite the fact that she is 18. And I want to say at one point she said her mom and her siblings have a high miscarriage rate. Though I don't want to ask now because that is very in appropriate that I would wish for something like that to happen.

I don't really have many updates just it is now 3 days late and if another 2 pass she will take a test for positive confirmation.
