  1. I hate them all, but that's just me. #-o But keep it up!

hate is such a strong word...

    OT

i really like the first one, and 3rd one, not a huge fan of the middle one, just not my style

the last one is... uhh, nor my style

To be honest, I totally agree. :P

15 minutes in MsPaint. 10 colours inc. trans I think. No palette unification though.

Just a piece I thought would mark my return to tip.it better. :)

    Crits and comments appreciated.

    Edit:

3 colour volumetrics experiment. 10 minutes paint. Not executed too well, but I think it works. Tried to break up the picture into two different planes. Side of head and face.

Just a joke thing I made for another forum, maybe worth posting.

Just got bored. About 35 minutes, mspaint.

I hate it. You might like it.

  3. The shades of the right cheek (portrait's) don't work as well because they make the middle seem like a buffer shade. Dithering just adds to the confusion.

I tried an edit and improved the readable form slightly, but the problem is the contrast in the two darkest skin tones, not your technique.

Very impressive work and welcome back.

  4. It's really bugging me, that whilst the shading you've used might resemble metal, it doesn't define actual form that well. I think using more basic shading and refining and adding lots of white for the highlights would yield a better result.

There is a lot of banding and excessive colours. Once again, I think shading with far less colours just to define the form and later adding more colours and detail if necessary would improve this.

As noted, before, the forearms are too small, as are the shoulders and torso.

  5. Cars, I got hit by a car last year. I was insanely lucky to come out almost unscathed. Not irrationally, but the thought of a car accident scares me, a lot.

Also being in the air when you know, in seconds you will come in contact with the ground in an undesirable way. That happens to me often.

  6. I personally think I might have a mild case also.

I always follow the exact same routine in the shower. Like super specific. I cannot deviate from my routine for some reason.

I always move my cursor so I do not scroll over signatures. Gah.

I always shake my head so that my fringe is showing all the way across my forehead, as if to resemble the beaky-bit of a baseball hat. I suppose that's just a habit from the days where I would always wear this e2ek1el hat; For like five years. D:

    Oh yeah, always.

  7. Well, what I consider 'place vibes' are mainly due to the emotions I'm feeling when I enter a place. If I enter a grimey dark place, I'll probably feel poorly about it (see "bad vibes"), however if I were to walk into a room that looked comfortable and inviting, I would have no apprehension and feel excellent about being there. Good vibes.

I don't believe in some kind of magical force, I think it's just unconcious perception. Heck, even temperature changes the 'vibes' I get from a place.

  8. The need for regulations like that is exactly my point. It can happen.

Anyways, youngers students are willing to break rules if a teacher allows it and the threat of being fired is probably not enough to deter possible paedophiles from breaking a few rules to seduce a child.

  9.

When a teacher can't even give a crying student an empathic hug or even a pat on the shoulder because they might lose their job on account of paranoiac parents and administration, you know there's something terribly wrong with the system.

I disagree. When the risk of paedophilia is such that restricting physical contact between students and teachers occurs, there's something terribly wrong with the system.

  10. Hmmn, very cool.

I think the two biggest problems are that the elements all seem to be on different planes, and they do not integrate into eachother properly.

I didn't a really quick (crappy) edit to demonstrate how you could bring atmosphere to the character and make him part of the scene by changing the lightsource (to that of the erupting volcano, it's very hard to shade things on different planes). I just edited the skin btw. ;P

I suggest if you're going to shade, do it completely or not at all. Otherwise it looks like everything is made of cardboard, rather than simply 2d.

  11. But it isn't half decent.

It's half scribbles and the only decent part is copied (poorly) from DementedHero's signature.

At this point all that can be done is to practice and make something where critique will be more valuable.

  12. I apologise for posting actual figures, that was stupid of me.

I meant to express that there are more than a handful of talented artists of very young age. This girl is recieving much of her attention based on her claims, rather than her skill.

    Sorry.
