  1. The cannonballs will not easily pay themselves back when used for slayer, there are a few tasks with which the cannon is profitable but most of them are not.

I still like to use the cannon quite a lot though as it does help you get slayer exp a lot faster on some tasks, and I think that's worth the loss of money.

If you also take in account the tasks on which you can not use the cannon then yes, slayer will probably pay back the cannonballs.

  2. RWTers made their money with bots.

They would never go online themselves to do the 76k trick with you.

And say they would sell the opportunity for you to give your account password to them so they could make money on it.

First of all, I would never trust them with my account password... (I hope everyone agrees with me on that)

Second of all, they would probably just run a bot on your account as they have no intention of actually playing the game, and since Jagex has become quite efficient of catching and destroying bot accounts I would definitely not have then run a bot on my account.

  3. with this it's almost the same as the RWT trading you had before, so they could remove the whole grand exchange thing and trade limit...but sadly enough they don't...

how long before you have websites saying: now for only 10 euro an exclusive offer: we will do the 76k trick with you! 12 times for only 10 euro... if it isn't happening yet...

they should really make this against the rules...

    Not really.

The problem with RWT was that there were a lot of bots involved which collected their money on members accounts paid for with stolen creditcards which Jagex had to refund, thus costing them more money then they got from them.

The 76k trick is, as far as I know, only and ingame problem.

It's really annoying and I hope they will be able to find a solution, but it's not as much a danger as RWT.

  4. when the item is picked up it is auto-sent to the GE and the max cost of it is divided among the group. =D> \'

That's coinshare which doesn't necessarily have to be on when using lootshare...

  5. that wheel picture is wrong as jagex stated that RoW doesnt affect visage drops :P

Oh lol, I must've missed that. xD

Anyways, you get the idea. :P

Thanks for the help guys! Also thank you Judo, didn't relise you made that diagram, must have took you a while :P

    Off topic: W000 it's my B-Day :P

I made it some time ago and have used it to explain how the RoW works since. ^^

I'll change that visage on it to make sure it's correct. xD

Gratz on your b-day btw. ;)

  6. Wouldn't killing green dragons, picking up the hides and bones, and then selling the hides for more bones be a lot quicker? I seriously doubt a prayer tutor will give any good exp. And around 200 bones on a gilded altar would give 50k experience, at a way quicker pace. It just seems like a really slow method to train prayer through a low level prayer tutor.

Nah, you can do most tasks in about a minute, for (me) a quick 1125 prayer xp. You can only do six per game hour though, which is the limiting factor.

Ok, so he can either get 50k exp a day or 50k exp an hour. Yeah, the tutor is sooo much better. Green dragons are the best way to train prayer. Gather the hides, bones, and any drops worth more than 2k or 1k if you want to bank more often. A b.o.b would increase the speed at which you collect. I can make at least 400k a hour at green dragons in the wild and maybe more if I went to the chaos tunnels.

It never occurred to you you can do both...?

1k exp in about 2 minutes isn't really bad exp, and after that you aren't obliged to sit down and wait till you can do the next task, you could actually continue killing green dragons... :P

And yeah, it costs either time or money, and since time = money it just costs money.

  7. i heard row lowers your chances for claws, though i can't prove it

Nah, that's bull. It'll do what it says on the label: increase the odds of getting a rare drop.

    I second this. :P

If thou consider the possessions of an enemy to be like a roulette wheel, then the 'rare' items so coveted by players are located on a second roulette wheel, that will only be spun shouldst thou roll a specific number on the first wheel.

The ring of wealth affects not the number which thou may achieve upon the first wheel, but should thou gain the precise number to allow thee access to the second, the ring will make thy chances of gaining an object on that second roulette wheel all the greater.

  8. Of course he would get 50k faster at a higher lvl... duh.

How about he maxes out his melee skills first, then you're sure to get the fastest slayer exp. :P

I'd say slayer, it's fun, a lot more diverse then experiments or rock crabs and it helps you on the way to a profitable slayer lvl.

  9. Yeah, a lvl 58 would most probably have some problems doing that quest...

I have done the quest myself and it's not really the easiest of quests.

Also, there's the requirement of 60 strength, not to mention 50 agility and 60 thieving (both member skills which I guess he has at 1 at the moment).

I'm not sure but I think the waterskins will get on your nerve... Boy was I happy when I got that tiara, I didn't even know it existed before I got it. xD

The exp from powermining granite would have to be quite a lot higher to make up for all the waterskin refilling (whether you do this with a cactus or through a bank, it takes up quite some time, not to mention spots in your inventory).

If you do decide to try it, get those desert robes Ali Morrisane sells, they reduce the need for water a lot so you can survive longer on the same amount of waterskins.

  10. I have a couple of uncles who would let me use their PayPal accounts(if I paid them back). I assume that's close enough to not cause trouble?

Judo - that does sound pretty interesting. I'll check that out. For obvious reasons, though, I am a bit wary of linking my bank account to PayPal, although I doubt with a record like theirs it'll be a problem.

Oh, I can assure you that it is very safe, I've linked my own bank account to my Paypal and it works fine.

Also, because Paypal is an official e-bank I would not suspect them of stealing your money. ^^

  11. There is 2 options.

First, you can simply send it from your nomal bank account to your Paypal account:

You input the amount on the Paypal website and Paypal will withdraw it from your bank account and put it into your Paypal account.

This will take a few days.

Second, you can link your Paypal account to your normal bank account:

To use this option you will have to verify your bank account (this isn't very hard, it's explained on the Paypal website).

Once that is done you can pay using your Paypal even if there is no credit on it.

As soon as the credit of your Paypal runs out and you still want to pay something Paypal will directly withdraw the money from your normal bank account, which makes it very easy in use because you can pay instantly instead of waiting a few days before the money is in your Paypal account.

I strongly suggest that you never use your Paypal account anywhere else then at your own computer, especially if you link your Paypal directly to your bank account.

As long as you do everything on your own computer and keep that computer safe it'll work great though. :D
