I started Runescape about two years ago, and made it a point from the beginning to be as self-sufficient as possible. I mine my own essence, make my own runes, cut, fletch and string my own bows. Yes, spin my own bowstrings as well. You wouldn't think such a player would be concerned with the bots and their sudden increased reproductive abilities :uhh: , but you'd be wrong. Just the other evening I was at Catherby attempting to fish shark. Bots galore, some with a higher fishing level with mine, were competing with me for a commodity. I became frustrated, went to the nearby farming patch to plant a dwarf weed seed. What did I hear? A conversation between two very high level players, bragging about the amount of shark they needed to cook. Yes, I realize the two situations may not be connected, but come on! We all know what happens in reality. To say the least, the situation really frustrated me. In fact, I'm taking a vacation from the game altogether until either the problem is dealt with significantly, or the game shuts down altogether. I really do hope it doesn't come to the latter, but Runescape seems to be collapsing from the inside out. I've reported bots (no, not out of hand, always after carefully checking them out) until I felt my fingers would fall off. It comes down to some important questions: Do I pay $5 a month to report those who choose to break the rules? Was that my purpose for beginning my account? It's sad, and I will really miss my friends and the community I knew. Hopefully things will improve. The bragging I saw on the front page concerning the million members mark is frankly not encouraging. What's most important to Jagex, the members or the money? :ohnoes: Wait, don't tell me! :-$ I don't think I really want to know. :wall:

I just had to come back with a big hug and "thank you!" for that tip! I never knew you could just keep your pouches in the bank while you went to the mage to have them repaired. LOL, imagine, no-iteming to the abyss. :thumbsup: That's going to save me a lot of time! Thanks again! =D>

I craft nats quite a lot, but as a rule don't use the abyss in the wildy. When my pouches degrade, I drop them in my house @ Yanille (yep, on the floor to disappear), grab my lunar staff and head to the fairy ring to the northwest. I go to the alternate abysmal spot and begin killing. The alternate does not have a way to repair pouches. It usually depends on my frustration level; if I'm tired and in a hurry, the pouch I'm after seems to take forever to drop, and if I'm relaxed and in a good mood it seems to drop more quickly. It might take longer, but I don't have to worry about pkers or finding the right portal. Hope this helps. Phen

Put me in with the "not so lucky" crowd. Just finished a level three I got fighting black drags. Two wildy trips, a Sara mage at the shipyard, some assorted jumping around the map, and this was my reward. 13 Sharks (lucky number!) 10 Blue firelighters 30 Laws 1 Full rune helm (not trimmed, gilded shaken or stirred) 1 Mage short 3897 goldpieces (what's up with that number?) Now I can always use the laws, but sheesh...for a level three clue firelighters should be barred, lol. :wall:

I always keep a bottle or two of plant cure with me when at the plots. The nearby gardener sells it for less than the farming store, so take 25 gp with you for each cure you'd like to buy. The cure can be used on diseased plants only...alas, not even plant cure will bring them back from the dead. As someone mentioned, a spade on the dead plants is the only option there. In the future if you can catch the plants while diseased, they'll live on (hopefully) to a full harvest. Water, compost and plant cure...the farmer's best friends, lol.

Just did my first level 3 trail. Fought two Sara mages, one in Isafdar, the other in the shipyard house. The other clues were riddles, nothing in the wildy. Was kind of surprised, since the dropper was a Hell Hound. Anyway, got a rune (t) full, two magic longs and a rune ba. Not the best seen by everyone, but love that rune (t)! :D
