The Skill: It will be really cool to be able to practice Alchemy in runescape. I mean the Alchemy that was studied in the Medievil Times, of course being able to use more mysticism than the real life. Alchemy is define as a transformation process. In history, it was studied to basically make any metal and transform it into gold or silver. How will it work?: The goal of the alchemist is to make metals, any metals, to a more pure metal, lets say, being able to transmute(transform/change) a black long sword to a mithiral long sword(it could be anytime of weapon,armor maybe. ore, bar, etc). In order for that to happen, the alchemist will need (these will be new item and gatherings for runescape) acids(like; sulfuric,or any other type) types of minerals(for example, limestone), any other types of items(which i need help on). Then the alchemist will need special devices(some basic like:pots and pans, etc) like lab tubes( the ones the medievil alchemists would use) and mix these material together( which the alchemist can use a local furnace) to make a watery blue substance(mith) and once he or she pures it on to the black long sword, the sword transmutes into a long mith sword.(Maybe; it can fail, can brake the sword,any ideas for this part?) The New Items: Like i said in the last paragraph, there will be acids and new earth materials, potions, and etc, of items introduce to runescape. Maybe Through these experiments, an alchemist can make new armor like, gold and silver(meaning transmute an iron sword to a gold sword) More ideas on this part would be a great help. Quest: There will be quest for every low level to high level alchemist. Like for the low levels, basic alchemy would be use to help someone or do some basic experiments. For the high level alchemist, there will quest such as, In Search for the Philosopher's stone(in people actually try to persue it). Alchemic Medice(making elixirs; which was said to make people feel better or make life longer). Any more ideas for this paragraph? Special Items: The Philosopher's stone will be like. the dragon or rune armor for the warriors. This stone can be crafted(using high level crafting) to a ring or neckless and now being able to transmute(depending on what metal he or she is trying to use on) without to gather and mix materials. He or she can probaly use this stone a number of times before it brakes or runs out of power(in which be bought again or recharge for a large fee). Elixir vitae can be used for unlimited life or extra health points for a small amount of time. Once again, i need more idea put into this. Advantage: This skill can be for anyone. Players are able to "make" black armor and also be able to create new ones too. Can learn great deal of some alchemy studied in real life(which some people today are still studying alchemy). It can also be a great influence to those wanting to be in a science career for example; chemistry(chemistry was born out of alchemy), biology, etc. New challenges in runescape. Can make some good cash out it. Disadvantage: Can be kind of boring, depend on how a person looks at it. A members only skill. Can have alot of task for a certain transmutation process.
