  1. point is im sure for rc the fastest xp/h isnt zmi, but effigys somewhere

    I sincerely doubt it.

Training it while also getting relevant exp in other skills, eg. slayer? Yes.

For pure RC exp? Not a chance. Lagota's slayer log has too few kills to really flesh average effigies out like that.

  2. Have to agree with Miracle to be honest, if you don't mind RC then that's a nice advantage for you, get it out of the way, secure a rank and use effigy stages on summoning, because getting 200m purely via slayer (charms) seems doubtful and I'm pretty sure your rcing speed is similar to that of agility or mining which don't seem bad options for dragonkin lamp.

RC is 60k an hour. Agility is 100k an hour. Mining is 100k an hour, more than that if you do LRC superheat(considering the speed of the two other skills). RC is the best thing to use lamps on, no matter what. I'm fairly sure that if you aren't great at merchanting or are opposed to it it would be much more efficient to kill frost dragons/TD's for your RC xp(at around 40k xp an hour).

Where are you gettin the xp/h rates?

    From his behind as usual.

65-70k at the barbarian course is reasonable.

50-55k at the living caverns is reasonable.

He's factoring in pennace horn+time to fill it for both agi and mining, I believe.

Either way, 55k on conc gold in LRC is slow as hell, even banking.

    Edit: get -> fill

  3. Lol do you think that people still train fletching with bows anymore? Whenever zarfot trains a skill, he does things like alch or fletch between clicks, so he really trains 2 skills at once. But I seriously doubt he is gonna keep that first position when he moves into mining or agility, which are much slower even if you count the alching randomly. Zarfot also has obligations outside of rs, he is going to united I think so that takes up a lot of time.

Mining really won't be a problem considering he superheats in LRC and drops bars.

  4. I may be wrong, but as i understand it a new dwarf quest and hopefully the dragon defender is coming out early 2011ish, and with an even bigger boost to accuracy wouldent this make the rapier more superior to cls @ solo bandos?

You can use a defender with CLS.

    Advantage is mute.

Heretical idea? Definitely, since CLS must be used with shield is biblical law.

So sayeth the tabulated data sheets which basis can not be questioned.

    I won't mention that CLS has a stab attack, I promise. :-#

Rapier is faster and therefore benefits more from the bonuses of a defender. It scales better than a CLS.

It's also worth mentioning that while attack bonuses keep increasing, boss defense remains the same, and rapier will keep gaining an edge on the current content in the game.

I think that's what he was trying to get at. Not that you couldn't use a defender with a CLS.

Who is this guy, and what the heck did he do?

It's a namechange glitch. Someone changed their display name to a previously held (but now available one), then updated their runetracker profile.

Their exp gains suddenly jumped from whatever the previous name holders were to the new name holders, aka a [cabbage]load of exp in a short amount of time. Happens every once in awhile, fake records get removed semi-frequently.

  6. TD's = tormented demons?

unfortuantly - still not qualiified to do wgs quest,

and as for 90 dungeoneering, i wish :-(

anyway - one thing is clear. abyssal demons are far from being good for effigies (or anything but the possible whip drop)

Abbys are fine for effigies. They're not exactly common drops.

Camping for effigies is usually not a great thing to do, you'd want to combine them with something that generates decent money/exp. Considering you can't do TD's or frosts, I'd powerslay.

  7. The line gets a bit blurred when you're 3 pouching. If you can bank fast enough, a lurker/parasite is still better.

When 4 pouching, a lurker/parasite is always superior.

Edit: I'm talking about familiar deposit, btw. A mousekeys jump of 2 menu choices allows you to both trigger the edge bank booth and your familiar deposit option.

Edit 2: Wow, got pouches mixed up in my head. Yes, absolutely use a lurker/parasite.

  8. I'm curious why you want to attempt this, rather than spamming 5 and dragging your cursor over the herbs.

It's obvious, this way you could just watch a movie while spamming 5.

By spamming 5, I assume you mean hitting a specific sequence of 3 to 5 separate buttons to clean 28 herbs at a glacial pace, then bank each time.

God forbid you miss a button in the sequence only to have your cursor move outside your inventory window so instead of cleaning herbs you'll be frantically running around the bank while watching your movie.

Just doesn't sound like a great idea.

  9. I was getting around 105-110k/hour at red sallys directly before 80, I maybe get 85k~ if I'm lucky spawn camping ruby harvests, and like 14k~ agi exp.

So at 80 I'd view them as about equal, and your catch rate will only increase from there. Ruby harvests may even be a bit better, since it's absolutely effortless to spawn camp them, while hitting a good rate on sallys requires a lot of attention.

  10. ZMI still still faster than graahking at 50~. At that level you lose money, though.

Considering you're only going from 50-60 I wouldn't put too much thought into it, and just do whichever method you'd enjoy more.

  11. Are you blackjacking the bandits? You can pickpocket twice between blackjack knockouts with an 100% success rate.

If so, you can quickly reattempt a knockout after a failed attempt, and avoid getting into a fight.

  12. Terror dogs, warped tortoises and thzaar, are commonly skipped tasks. You can't pray on terror dogs, torts have meh charm drops, and thzaar are slow exp (the fcaves task is okay exp, but has absolutely no charms/effigies).

Smages provide okay profit/hour, but drop no effigies or charms, and are mediocre exp. Jungle/desert strykes also provide some profit, but are also not great exp (and do not drop many charms). Skeletal wyverns have a good crimson charm drop, but are slow slayer exp. These are all possible tasks to skip, though it's perfectly fine if you do them.

Hellhounds can be cannoned in taverly resource dungeon. Dark beasts can also be cannoned, in the temple of light. This is faster than slaying them in kuradels, but many people find kuradels dungeon to be more relaxing (they're basically afkable there).
