  1. Sorry but the words "parent", "school", and "work" appear nowhere(!) in the forum rules, maybe you imagined the rule??? I'd invite a mod to speak up because if it *is* against the rules, then the rules need to state so more clearly. And *patronize* you?? That's not what I was doing at all! You need a dictionary, pal. I was poking fun at gov't workers and military intelligence. That's not patronizing anyone. Patronizing is being condescending to someone. I am not assuming an air of superiority over gov't workers or military intelligence. I'm simply stating that gov't workers hardly work, and military intelligence is anything but intelligent. Is that so hard to grasp? I never said I work harder or was more intelligent, did I?? For all you know I may be a gov't worker. Albeit, with a better sense of humor than you, of course.... Oh, I have pretty good idea of what you do (*Cough* bureaucrat! *Cough*). I happen to be a professional (paid) hacker at a government agency of whose buildings you will most certainly never see the inside of. So unless you have any useful information about the entitled topic at hand, please stop spamming my post! Thank you.
  2. Okay, I give, what rule does this violate?? I looked through all the rules and guidelines and couldn't find any rule against how to set up a secure http proxy. Please enlighten me Mr. Government Worker. Two of the biggest oxymorons in the English language: Military Intelligence, and Government Worker. ;-)
  3. So is posting here, what's your point? I didn't post the question to get an ethics lesson. You don't know where I work or what I signed. I know what I signed and if I want to violate any agreement it's my choice. I never said I would do it either, just that I wanted to learn about how to do it and if it worked with Java Applets. Jeeeesh! Lighten up.
  4. My office blocks the ports necessary to play RS and being the closet hacker I am, I was reading about how to bypass that kind of block and found an interesting article: http : //sebsauvage.net/punching/ It discusses creating a secure HTTP proxy tunnel through your home computer/internet connection to send all traffic through port 80 at work (which isn't blocked). I'm not sure if this would work with a Java Applet but I was wondering if 1) anyone has any experience with this and 2) if there is a thread that already discusses this, where is it? Thx!
