  1. Ok, here's the new design I'm considering: (the north garden will have the entry portal) It's slightly larger, with 4 extra rooms (garden #2, combat room, quest hall, portal room #2). I placed the quest hall next to the altar room because I'm planning on using these in concert, for example, when runcrafting in the abyss (craft runes, tele to house, recharge prayer at altar, tele to edgeville via mounted glory, etc.) Luckily I won't have to tear too much down to make the layout change. For now, I'll definitely hold out on using any expensive materials (gold leaf, marble) until I'm completely satisfied with the layout.
  2. Some nice designs so far. Here's my current house: As you can see, the layout favors efficiency over aesthetics. The portals, altar, and kitchen are all adjacent to the entry portal for speedy access. I was also going for a "prison" style design, in which rooms only connect to other rooms with no doors leading out of the house for maximum efficiency. I'm currently considering making a few changes to the design including a quest hall (for the mounted glory) and a second portal room. I'll post that design too once it's finished.
