  1. I think there is no need to worry about items that may be lost from dying in the wild. Teleporting or praying is a spoil of the adventure which you could have from losing them.
  2. That may just be the thing for you, after all if you really need to quit then by all means do it, if you feel its the best thing for you :)
  3. And I would have to agree with them, since there are better things to do at home. Think about it you can goto a movie, read a book, watch TV, do things in which people will be able to socialize with you. If you do that you won't be depressed. I was depressed from not doing other things, I could see why everyone else would be. you think you're funny but ur not
  4. why is the enduring??? I think the way that you usually pronounce it is the right one!!!
  5. I just pronounce like "d'artangne" from the three musketeers, or the man and the iron mask

  11. I was just thinking about what we all do in the farming skill, and I realized that this isn't farming, rather it is gardening. I have provided a information from dictionary.com that defines farming definition (1)tract of land cultivated for the purpose of agricultural production. definition (2)A tract of land devoted to the raising and breeding of domestic animals. definition (3)An area of water devoted to the raising, breeding, or production of a specific aquatic animal: a trout farm; an oyster farm. definition (4)An area of land devoted to the storage of a commodity or the emplacement of a group of devices: a tank farm; an antenna farm. Baseball. A minor-league club affiliated with a major-league club for the training of recruits and the maintenance of temporarily unneeded players. Obsolete. definition(5)The system of leasing out the rights of collecting and retaining taxes in a certain district. A district so leased. where are the animals?!? Without animals, it is just called gardening, certainly because the allotments are very small, and you don't get much from the harvest, see what I mean??? your thoughts...
  12. have they really made 100 quests?? that is amazing
  13. Mods, feel free to lock this thread, as I have lost my train of thought thank you very much :D
  14. I'm sorry... who made you king of the forums again? I'll post what I like where I like thank you very much. If you want complete control over what does and doesn't get posted then I'd suggest putting your whines on your livejournal rather than here. this is my thread :x
  15. You're of the opinion that we have an unlimited supply of fresh water? On which planet is this? Of course it's "an" economy. The point is that it's not an accurate model of current, real-world economies as was alluded to earlier. Now the name dwarfie is getting annoying, go spam somewhere else
  16. I agree that there are elements of supply and demand. You are going to get that in any situation where people are trading items - virtual or not. But as an economic simulation it's worth next to nothing because the value of the GP can't be backed up effectively against a commodities market where there is no finite limit to the amount of resources in the market. You can observe some aspects that are also found in a real-world economy, but I'd stop a long way short of calling it an "economic simulation" Gold coins have been around since biblical era, and they did shape the economy back then
  17. It's still an 'economy', however the unlimited nature of resources is one of the things that make it next to useless in comparison to a real economy. Likewise the lack of a central treasury, taxes, interest rates, fiscal policy etc, etc, etc. the question is not the unlimited resources, but that you have to take time to get a wide inventory of them, do you see what I mean, Supply and demand.
  18. very true, but there is also a centralized government
