  1. Oops... disregard. It's explained at the bottom of the Max hit calc page... =\
  2. On tip.it's Max Hit Calculator, you can now enter iron gloves to dragon gloves as a strength modifier... there's also Dark Gloves that give a strength bonus of 12(!). Did I miss something?? Can anyone clarify? Peace. Hobo

  4. This is a repost of a thread in the General Guide... Please indicate your support!! Hi! I realize that this is a very long post... you need not point this out. This may be an old idea, and if so, I apologize. Please no spamming, flaming, loitering or littering. Please do post your thoughts, criticisms, ideas, etc. Free bumps accepted!! Intro: One day, while cutting yews near Seers Village, a young lvl 70ish player arrived wearing full addy. Someone commented that he should be wearing armour better suited to his combat level. (Well, I think the actual words were, 'U Noob!! ur armur sauks!!!1!') This player replied that he had better, but that he liked wearing his addy because he smithed it himself. After the usual unbelievers got their smart comments out of the way, I looked up this player on the high scores. Low and behold, said player had lvl 92 mining and lvl 89 smithing. Besides this, all of his other stats were highly respectable. Most in the 70's. Who knew...? And this, of course, is my point. Why is it that you can show off your wealth to the Runescape community, but not your skills... I mean really... Runescape is mostly about skills, is it not? So why not some recognition for your hard work? Why not a little pride in your accomplishments? Why not a place you can go where you are surrounded by your peers, being able to discuss methods of increasing skills, safe from name-callers, random traders, etc? Therefore, I propose... dum dum da dum.... Skill Clubs. This would consist of 5 member only clubs scattered about the land of Runescape each fairly accessible to a bank. To enter, a player must have 12 out of 21 of their skills equal to or above club requisite. The remaining skills may be no less than 30(?). Each club would feature a store selling the club's respective cape. All capes are untradeable. The clubs should have the feel of an old English Gentleman's/Ladies club. 50's Club Range Anvil Altar Store Mith, Silver and Coal rocks. 1 Guards and 1 Knights for theiving Outdoor area with willow and maple trees, cows and bush patch. Underground dungeon with lvl 50 - 59 monsters and lvl 150 - 159 monsters. Monster Drops are skill related. Monsters give small(!) amount of slayer exp. even without visiting slayer master. 50 skills Cape +1 all non-combat skills +1 all Att +5 all def +1 pray 60's Club Range Anvil Altar Store Mith, Addy, Gold and Coal rocks. 2 Knights and a chest for theiving Outdoor area with Maple and Yew trees, Fishing spot and herb patch. Underground passage to the abyss free of pker's. Underground dungeon with lvl 90 - 99 monsters and lvl 190 - 199 monsters. 1 Black Dragon. Drops are skill related. Monsters give small amount of slayer exp. without visiting slayer master. 90 skills cape +1 all non-combat skills +2 all Att +9 all def +3 Strength +3 pray (This cape would rival the fire cape, which I believe is completely acceptable. If you have 90+ in the majority of skills, well heck, you deserve a choice!) Wearing skills cape would not permit entry to the next level club early. Neither would Wizards Mind Bomb, Agility pots, etc. Store would sell certain skill related items such as needle, thread, etc. as well as club cape Low level monster drops: Big Bones Herb Seed Herbs Uncut Gems Noted Ores Runes Etc. High level monster drops: You tell me I realize the Agility skill is not featured in these clubs... How could it be implemented? Ideas? Any ideas for the high lvl monster drops? Exclusive, untradeable equipment? Possible problems: encourages class systems, segregation of higher lvl players from community, too many skill opportunities in one place makes skill leveling too easy. A high combat player would have little use for the 50 cape, etc. The introduction of more farming patches and rune rocks may upset farming and mining skill balance. Benefits: Encourages players to level all skills as opposed to only leveling the moneymakers. A nice place to visit, knowing you're surrounded with like-minded players who enjoy the full scape experience. Thanks for reading. Peace. Hobo :D
  5. Eelspremiers, Thank you for the support! I am going to repost this in the discussions forum as per your suggestion, and see what happens. I did take some time on the cape stats and think they fall in line nicely in relation to the obby, legends, fire cape, etc. BTW... I still have a level to raise before I could get into my 60's club :[
  6. packer and purepure, I don't see why this couldn't be a f2p addition as well. Drop the minimum 30 requirement for all skills and it still works (f2p people work their butts off too) The only prob would be having all the clubs clustered around the F2P area. 80's and 90's club members only?... Or is this unfair? I would like to see these clubs as an incentive for upgrading to members status.
  7. Thanks for the support, guys! Obviously with such a large undertaking a huge amount of tweaking would be required, but I also know that there are so many great runescape players out there that work incredibly hard and get called a noob for simply having a low combat lvl. Why is combat held in such high regard that it is displayed for everyone to see, while the remaining 80%(!) of skills are only visible by accessing the high scores? Let's see those skills rewarded!! Hobo
