  1. I totally agree with you indy500fan.. i hat AOL slow and its just BAD.. i want to get rid of it.. but the whole problem is as blade said.. my dad is stuck on this sucky crap.. i have tried and tried to get him to do somthing hes just stuck on it because he thinks as soon as its gone all his info on all the site (ebay email and so on) is gone.. he is still new on computers.. ha Im also not working off a router.. this problem is so lame.. i do have mature settings in AOL but still get some stupid parental blocks.. that could be it i never thought about it before.. ill try that after i get home from school.. Another thing.. my friend has AOL.. hes got the same service/ cpu/ and settings.. but he plays it fine.. it just must be after me.. any other ideas?
  2. i have tried it all.. dozens upon dozens of things.. clearing cookies and all that tried it nothing has worked.. i play through AOL 9.0 optimized.. i can not use the internet outside of what AOL offers.. (i have tried to get firefox ect. none worked) i have even reformatted.. nadda.. my computer has all the right settings... this is my last resort! My steps to start 1.) go to website 2.) play game 3.) high detail (i even tried low) 4.) choose world (ive tried them all) 5.) it starts to load.. 6.) java message apears i click ok.. 7.) loads monsters ect. 8.) it freezes at the "connecting to game server part" 9.) error pops up.. Here is the error i recieve when i try to get into runescape.. Error 105 - Unable to connect to game server. Runescape was unable to connect to the game server. This is most likely caused by a firewall blocking the connection. To resolve this: If you have firewall or security software installed please ensure RuneScape/Java is allowed to open outgoing network connections on ports 43594 and port 43595. Note windows-XP service pack 2 has built in firewall software. If when loading RuneScape this asks if you want to allow the connection, you need to say 'yes'. If that doesn't help then an external firewall may be causing the problem. Please ask your network adminstrator/ISP to open ports 43594 and 43595 for TCP traffic. If problems persist then please refer to our technical-FAQ which can be found in the FAQ section of our website. HA, i called dell.. they didnt know.. AOL, tried helping didnt know.. JAVA, nothing.. idk any whizs out there? lend me a hand!? -Cr8zE
