How did you and your best friend meet?
I don't want to be ranking my friends, but I can say that I met most of my friends through my website. A few sent emails to me and that's how it all started. And *shhhh*, my friend's a dork!

Player Mods.
If you ever see a moderator threating you with their status, you can actually report that moderator (as long as you haven't broken a rule of course). Make sure you get him busted, because that's the worst spirit ever. Let me show you an example of a quite power-abusing and harsh moderator: Background: I log onto Runescape in Varrock West bank world 11, to have a talk with my friends and fans. When I get on, I see a level 17 trying to sell that account. So what I do is, I head to that person and try to tell her that selling accounts is against the rules. She didn't seem to reply me, and about a minute later I get a PM from a fellow moderator. The moderator told me to be quiet and not talk, or else others would know about me, and therefore not break rules. After that, the PMs go like this: The first few messages from the pmod was kind of stupid in my opinion... what the heck do you mean by "he was muted by me btw...", are you proud of muting someone? If a level 17 tries to sell his/her own account, there's a large chance that that person isn't experienced (who the heck would buy a level 17), and thus not know about the rules. Many new players aren't familiar with all the rules, and rules like account selling/real world item trading aren't obvious ones. Jagex never forces players to read the rules, so not everyone knows about them. Muting someone before telling them what mistake they've done, is very rude...

Player Mods.
The discussion about Player Moderators is very vast and can go on forever. Let me share with you guys an overall view of them, and my personal experiences. Moderators are completely normal players, the ONLY thing that actually differs them from normal players is that they can mute and have a crown next to their name. People think that they are powerful, and can bust anyone with a report. That's not true, and their reports are treated the same as if it came from a "normal" player. They do not have to help anyone at all, even if you tell them to come to a place because xxxxx is selling fake rocks (scamming). Players in game usually respect player moderators more than normal players and call them sir etc... I do not like the fact that player moderators exist and all that. People often exaggerate about the "status" of being a pmod, there's not much status at all. If you're a f2p mod, the majority of players don't even know what your crown resembles. We should just play this game, and forget about the pmods, because a large portion of normal players offer a lot of help too. Some people, after getting modded, start becomming very different in a way. They pretend to be someone (usually professional and crap) who they aren't, and things go bad. Some have a sudden change of attitude, and valuate other people as "below" them. As a moderator, you are supposed to help. Not like when you see a guy saying: "selling account for rocks!!" you immediately check his name, report + mute him and laugh at him getting busted. That's not how you should roll, you should go to that person politely and tell him that account selling is illegal, then report.

Are female players more likely to be skillers?
First of all, you can't tell whether a player is a male or female, only the character gender. I'm sure the large majority of players are male anyways. Skillers are usually created because a player already owns a main, and has gotten bored. So what they do is, they come up of a funny or hot feminine name to create a female account, and choose to have it as a skiller. I have accounts called Gnoat, Honeycupcake, Your Sugar, Big And Soft etc... Cool huh? :XD:

Do you think anybody will ever get all skills to 200mil xp?
Well, anyone can do it....... if you devote your whole life towards playing Runescape 24 - 7 for many many years. So in other words, it ain't gonna happen.

What is the Appeal?
Runescape has grown big and even larger because it is a big game with a lot of players. The massive number of players in the game, and the popularity of Runescape makes you think that everything in the game means a lot. It could be for instance your money and skills. It's exactly this kind of thought that makes you addicted and want to play the game. MMORPGS are a huge success nowadays, because you have many people to compete and interact with. Being rich or having high skills means you can show off to the millions of people poorer than you. And if you look at it the other way, being poor means you can beg for money when you see a rich dude :P Don't you guys agree?

What food do YOU use?
I use salmons for everything, even PKing  I'm way too stingy about using expensive food, it just feels bad when you eat a lobster and then think: "noooo, I just burnt 200 gp!" But when I die due to the bad food source, that's just another story :P

your biggest loss ever? dying from npc or staking etc...
The biggest loss was Rune full with r2h, scimitar and kite. I was at the bone yard all alone skulled, and at the same time talking to a mate. A team of PKers at level 90 came and beat the crap out of me :P Fortunately, that's the worse thing that ever happened.

Spot the mistake
Looooool, what, is Jagex going to release a Runescape Google Earth? OMG, check it out, I'm the dude standing in Varrock center selling rocks! I can't believe that I was online when the runesatellite took photos of the Runescape world! :P Honestly, if Jagex made a Google Earth for Runescape it would be rather interesting to look at. And they could cover for example the wilderness with clouds, so you'd have to explore the areas yourself. Otherwise, no I cannot find the mistake you talked about other than the ones mentioned above by others.

Funny Pictures
yeah, that one is pretty cool. Spooooooky! I've got a whole website with funny Runescape stories, it's not the screenshots itself, but the content in the screenshots. You'll see me bust scammers and hang out with chicks on Runescape on my site. Click on my signature if you'd like to check it out.

Greater Demons=certain death
It would definately be nice if there were some Greaters in non-wilderness, but still... Greaters are the strongest monsters on f2p, and Jagex has the right to put them in a distant and dangerous place. They've at least helped Greater killing a bit by introducing two lobster and harpoon spots very close to the Greaters. Don't get the pi person wrong, he probably meant that pi is easy because it's simply the circumference of a circle divided by the diameter, and not the never ending result of decimals. Pi is 3.14 to many people, and he might've not understood that it's just a rounded result. Or he meant "easy as a piece of pie " :anxious:

A small TzHaar dictionary - By Postie Pete!
oh yeah, that language or whatever I should call it is crazy. Once a guy on my friend's list pmed me with a lot of Tzhaar words and I couldn't understand anything at all.

People are getting crazy with halloween!
This happens all the time, it's called taking advantage of desperate people. Back in RSC when better pickaxes than bronze were released, a lot of people didn't know where to buy or how much they costed. So guess what? I bought loads of addy pickaxes and sold them for 30 - 40 grands in mining spots. Rune pickaxes were traded for rares like party hats, and everyone was camping in the dwarven mine pickaxe shop to wait for a rune pickaxe to respawn. Oh yeah, I usually sell pots of flours *cough* drugs *cough* for 1k each.

I am addicted to Runescape.
 =D> Good job on taking this huge step, are you keeping up with your one hour or less promiss? Personally I've not been affected by this game as much as you have, since I have parents who limit my time. But I have to admit that I have been addicted to this game, before I quit and left.

Are you happy about the quality of RuneScape?
=D> Exactly!! Well said! I feel that too when I play Runescape in school, (nobody except two or three in my school plays it) people just stare at me with a big questionmark. How can you fight a monster without actually controlling your character or even looking at the screen?

NEW POH BUG
Oh... I should really stop posting on the p2p boards, I know absolutely nothing about p2p besides the weapons :(
-
NEW POH BUG
Wow cool, you mean they can fight each other outside the wilderness with this new bug?

Stunnaz RS Remix!
Reminds me of the episode of when Homer was smoking marijuana. Ned read the Bible to Homer, and all Homer said after listening to it was: *with big eyes* wow... wow... god does so much for us... Anyways, I was a bit unsure when you first presented me this remix, and I don't know what to say about it either. Sounds like a gansta style Runescape. :anxious: It needs to be more catchy and ryhme good. Bad Boys for life!

Are you happy about the quality of RuneScape?
Hell no, I am far from being satisfied with this game. There is no storyline at all if you ask me (except these quests which aren't bonded together), and the gameplay is very monotonous and slow. All other games are pretty much monotonous too, but I don't have to wait for a monster or ore to respawn. The only reason I play this game is due to addiction, nothing else (I can get in contact with RS friends outside the game). I've quit this game since a few weeks back, to find other interests. I can't blame, since I'm playing the game for free. The game is fun in one aspect - you can communicate with other online players. I don't think there is any easy way to improve this game in my opinion, other than that the combat system needs to be more challenging. The player needs to be more engaged in battles, instead of just clicking on a dumb hobgoblin and then switching to a *you know what :ohnoes: * site for 20 seconds and then come back again. Weapons need to be more unique, and not just the same weapons but in different colors.

Banned For Bogies!... LITERALLY
Don't you joke about being a drug dealer on runescape? They don't care unless your Real world Item trading  Yeah, that's so true, I never thought of ithat! :XD: But still, I'm clever enough to use multiple meaning words, I mean, how would Jagex know that "I sell rocks" means "I sell crack"? And when I talk about pot all the time, there's actually an item called pot, which together with dough makes it look like a drug. Cool thing though, I'm not punished for selling rocks, I actually got modded by Jagex :-# A pmod selling rocks... Bombs and scamming aren't on the same level, that's correct, but we're talking about a game like Runescape, where scamming is close to the level of bombs in real life. Or maybe I just exaggerated with that example. I think it was the "hahahaha" part that made Jagex think you really scammed him. The ones that thought a post on this thread contained "racist comments", no it didn't. The person only commented on my example of a person who got arrested by the police for overjoking, and said that that arrested person might've been black (thus he got arrested). Hahahah, I just finished my post!
-
Banned For Bogies!... LITERALLY
looking at that example, I hope people learn something. Don't joke when it comes to serious things, and in the world of Runescape that's scams and such. You can't blame Jagex, they have to deal with thousands of reports per day, so I'm sure they won't spend so much time investigating the thing. A guy, now this is real, called his girlfriend and joked, saying: "Hey baby, I forgot the bombs on the airplane" (it went something like that). He got arrested and fined by the police even though there weren't bombs on the plane... You made a cool joke though about the boogie

About the penguins in RuneScape
Hey, this reminds me of that game on Miniclip called Club Penguin or something like that, where everyone's a penguin. I guess Andrew might me a subscriber on that game for sure :P No wonder he hasn't been working on RS lately.
-
About the penguins in RuneScape
wow, that's a good find! Yeah, I think Andrew even made a game on Jagex where the characters are penguins.

Quitters
Of course you can just limit yourself as you say, or "quit" the game, but the problem is that some people might have another definition of quitting. Some quit, meaning that they play significantly less, but others quit to never ever think about or worry about Runescape anymore. This is why, as in your example, a person deliberately banned their own account. If you've lost everything on your account or it's completely gone, you won't be (as) tempted to ever think about Runescape again. I never feel like playing, I sometimes go on due to the addiction that's always in you. I'm sure that every single person who plays this game is more or less addicted to the game, even if you play ten or fifteen minutes per day. Why go on for that little time, when you can't do much? Because you're addicted and thinking about the game (or friends in-game). So what I mean is that there are two definitions of quitting, one where you quit the game as in semi-quit (less playing time per day or less frequency). The other one is the real meaning of quit, where you completely forget about the game and never return. Many people have achieved the first example, but they want the second one, that's why.

old merchant guide that i dug up.
In my opinion, this merchanting guide doesn't differ much at all from what a merchanting guide today would look like. Yes, prices have changed and there are no certs, but the whole basic and "stackable item" merchanting remains the same. It's a really good guide.
