I didn't understand your last post or what you've edited at all. Please rewrite it in a more clearer way. And yes, there is a difference, that's what I'm trying to say, that your case isn't the same as the author's. That girl didn't insult you, she just ignored you which often happens when the other person finds you too talkative, or if they've membered themself and don't have time to chat 24 - 7. She might've as well sold her account to someone, which is illegal.

^nah, that's a bit different, that's a person ignoring you. This is a person insulting him, which is far more worse.

I think some of you have to pull back, since not many of you have been in his shoes. I have just recently, and I can tell that it certainly wasn't fun at all. It sounds more worse than it seems when someone tells those things about you and end with go die you noob or something like that. It might not necessarily mean that he's afraid of losing a friend or anything like that, but it's always hard when you know that you have an "enemy" in a game. Counter attacking his "friend" will not help at all, and don't ever do it, as it will make him more angry and cause even more trouble. Ignoring him while he's at an angry point will not help much either, since he might just log onto other accounts just to bug you, and you'll eventually have to put private on friends (which isn't nice). He might also spread rumours about you, and all nasty things that you can imagine. What you should do is to take a deep breath, and talk to him. Ask him in a polite way why he's been treating you like that lately, and tell him that you can always improve or change. In other words, try to solve the situation. It might not be easy in the beginning, but just keep it cool and ignore his bad phrases and things will get better. Hopefully he'll be the friend you once knew. Ignoring and trying to forget him is your last way out, if you've tried so much that it just doesn't work out. But forgetting a horrible experience is very hard for someone, even if it occured in a game, so give your best shot on solving the problem. I feel for you, and wish for the best.

Have you ever heard of selling things on the forum? How can two unknown people contact each other from the forums? The chance that you're on the same world is very little, and even if you were, it's hard to find that person. You simply have to add a guy and talk to him and come up of a meeting place before you complete your business. I recommend you to take a look at the Marketplace, to have better insight over how people do business. I can't possibly advertise drug selling on Runescape, because an anti-drug or previous drug addict mod would mute me, so I have to do it on the forums.

This discussion about the evidence thing isn't leading anywhere, if anyone is very interested in it, why not send a mail to Jagex and ask them yourself and get the most accurate answer? The intention of the author of this post was to tell everyone to be careful about weird names, that can either make your reporting harder, or make you misuse the report button since you typed in a wrong name. To counter that, Jagex should in the future have a report message button that's right clickable next to a person's message, like they did with the "add friend" thing. What do you mean by protecting the scammers? Have you ever heard of defense lawyers? I am not supporting them, I am just saying some things in their defense, they might be selling several items for 20k, not just a rune long, and Jagex can't really prove that because of the 60 second limit. If it wasn't that case, it's classified lying, and as far as I know lieing isn't reportable at all. There are fake drop parties, and "tricking" people into the wilderness, aka lures. And sorry, you can't change items in the 2nd trade screen, so the victim will always know unless he's unattentive.

No, I don't think Jagex can actually do something about it, since if they swap a for example noted rune long to a steel long, it's the same as if they're selling a steel long for 20k. Is selling a steel long for 20k against the rules? That's why there's the 2nd screen. And no, if you accept the trade you still can't report them, you've just accepted to buy a steel long for 20k, and noone has done anything wrong.

Wait until you see my clan, it will be 100% freedom for everyone, come to crack parties / wildy trips when you want, participate in scammer / chick seeking events when you want and have time to. But I won't let anyone join, only people that have been proven worthy... Cooking isn't effective for getting random events. And voncritic, how many times have you tested this to conclude your results? If you're saying 99%, you should've done it over 100 times, or else you're just lengthening your results. Your investigation sounds resonable and all, but you have to make it clear on how many times you've tested this. If it's correct, it's something perfect for someone like me who trains in the wilderness on hobgoblins. Desserted place, private chat off doesn't matter, I get high alch runes from drops :P

First I want to remind people to not repeat what others have said too many times. Don't be too sure, many innocent civilians die too, it's very hard to control a war and not injure or kill them. If you're assaulting a whole city, there are very likely still many people in it, and it's hard to tell if someone's a civilian or if someone's a civilian-camouflaged James Bond dude.

I truly hate people who lol in every sentence, and those who write with a bad grammar, and some people that go: "huh???!!!! Wat rocks?!!!!" Also hate the misuse of too many exclamation marks and question marks.
