    lmao, hard earned? I spent less than an hour ectoing dragon bones to get 43 prayer on my pure. I got 52 a couple hours later. IT'S NOT HARD. 99% of runescape realizes that protect prayers vs other players is not only cheap and way too effective, but it slows down combat to the point where it's impossible to get a kill. Maybe if you werent a skill noob you would realize that the prayers unbalence the game.

     

     

     

    Sure, you can both use protection prayers. But what does that do? Absolutly nothing, except giving you precious time to eat and teleport to save a measly 300k.

    What Rs2 Could Learn From the Rsc Pk System

    How many people here can honestly say they were around durring rsc, let alone pked alot? You'r not going to get many good replies, but here's my opinion. Rsc had three real aspects that made a diference, in game skills, luck, and catch. In game skills made a huge diference, especialy with the old combat calculator. A pure could easily hit half it's combat level (56 could hit a 28 with r2h), if they had the right stats. Luck is luck, and with a 3 round system luck mattered alot. Unfortuntly, luck is bad because it lets bad kids get good hits ;) Last is catch, and was really the only thing that kept rsc pking alive. If you could catch and had catch, you could reattack them while they run. Without it they could just easily run away without any way to stop them.

     

     

     

    The skills part of pking had been seriously downgraded, and has put alot more focus on actual pking talent. This is both good and bad, however you want to see it. Luck is still here, and that 31-29 dagger combo will ko an opponent 99% of the time, but plays a slightly less role. THe last is catch, wich is obsolete now with the introduction of bind spells as well as attacking while they run. I think getting rid of the 3 hits system was a good move on jagex's part as long as they balenced the system out. The right timing between eating food, the right ammount of damage done based on stats, and good weapons make the system work well.

     

     

     

    So in conclusion, rs2 is fine, get over it 8-)

    Good quests that give def/pray exp?

    Right now im leveling up defense (41-45), and prayer (48-52), and would like to get any quests done that involve prayer or defense exp. This involves smaller quests too, so like im gonna do nature spirit for recipee for disaster. Thanks.

    Random Events + DKs + Lag ftl

    never been at DK's, but from what i hear, randoms can have the WORST timing ever e.g.: Leesters and his fishsticks, evil mime that wont let u heal, and this guy now with the drill demon... which happens to be a rare random at that... for me anyways (no drill demon to date, lvl 84 -.-) yeah jagex really should get rid of randoms at major monsters like the Dag Kings, Kalph, etc.

     

    No way, have your seen how many people auto at DK's and the queen?

     

     

     

    I agree, randoms are a huge pain to deal with, and nowadays autoers are good enough to bypass them so there really is no use.

    Average Income Per Hour?

    Anywhere between 2 and 15mill an hour, average is about 5mill an hour.

     

     

     

    If you are playing purely for money (i.e you need money to buy supplies for a skill you enjoy) then there are plenty of ways to earn between 200k and 1000k an hour which are fairly easy and require pretty much no skills.

    It's chewy!!! You guys obviously have no idea what your talking about. Do not doubt chewyshoe's skill ;)

     

     

     

    Honestly, i havent seriously made money in atleast 2 or 3 years. All the money I need comes from the inflated prices of p-hats i bought for like a hundreth of thier current value :lol: Although i sold my last one a month ago... so maybe it's time to start again ;)

    Jagex constantly recruiting moderators sounds more like conscription to me. I've even recently heard of cases ingame of people simply becoming moderators with no will to become one.

     

     

     

    You have to agree to be a moderator, its hardly conscription.

    You get a mesage from jagex and can either accept or decline. They're not going to do anything but find someone else if you decline.

    no. i can see them raising the max level....but jagex has enough commen sense not to do that even if you condier the essence disaster.
    That's where it gets kinda ironic. I can't remeber what mod said it, but the current system is based on two digits. To change it to three digits, would require not only almost a complete rebuild of the basic system, but a STAT RESET.

    honestly i wish i could go back in time 5 years ago when rs was FUN. Not only has the content gone down, the comunity is so freaking huge it's absurd. Plus, level 99 isn't even hard to get anymore. lets be honest here, you can buy basicly any 99 stat and have it within a reasonable time. I play to be the best, but what good is it when there's 1000 other characters just like you. Maybe it's just me, but I like to be better than everyone else. Thats why I bought one of the first whips for 2 yellows and 6 mil. Because I liked the fact I was one of the few people with a whip... at level 90. And thats why im making a pure right now, just so I can be better than everyone else my level.

    im telling you, they need to bring back rs1 with the waaay old pking system as an alternate game. All stats will be reset there and it would be so much more fun than you would think. But if they reset rs2 i'd still play. Actually, to be honest with you, if I could choose to I would. Sure, the level 126's would quit cause of "wasted" time, but I think it would be alot more fun rediscovering the game. Plus, ive been playing for 4+ years and im level 94... i could care less about any of my stats let alone my money. I guess you can only understand it if you've been there.

     

     

     

    I just think rs isn't nearly as fun as it used to be. People have over a billion gp now, A BILLION. The economy is so messed up right now. Lower levels have no chance of ever catching up in monetary value to higher levels unless they risk it all dueling or merchanting (still very hard). A reset would be alot of fun because you'd have a huge race to be say... the first 85 slayer, just to charge outrageous prices for whips (maybe 1 mil each cause theres no money in the economy), or the race to be the highest smith ;) I think it would make the game alot more fun again.
