I have been pickpocketing the dwarf traders (556,5 xp) for some time now. I counted the times getting caught and being succesfull. At level 91 thieving I had an average succesrate of 30%. The range was between 24% and 34%. The number of tests were 18. Average XP = 24k, Minimum 18k, Maximum 29k. At level 93 thieving I had an average succesrate of 32%. The range was between 27% and 37%. The number of tests were 21. Average XP = 27k, Minimum 20k, Maximum 34k. At level 95 thieving I had an average succesrate of 34%. The range was between 29% and 41%. The number of tests were 25. Average XP = 29k, Minimum 24k, Maximum 39k. At level 97 thieving I had an average succesrate of 38%. The range was between 33% and 45%. The number of tests were 19. Average XP = 32k, Minimum 25k, Maximum 43k The mentioned loot on the website is not complete. They give all the smithing ores and bars (noted), so only not gold and silver. Iron bar, iron ore and bronze bar are the most common loot. Gloves of silence really do make a difference here. Without them you will find it hard to reach the minimum amount of XP. Compared to the best way of levelling, Pyramid Plunder, this method comes very close to the amount of xp. In a run of 5 minutes PP i get on average 21k xp. So 10 minutes would give me 42k xp. Pickpocketing dwarf traders (see above) will give that xp in 10 min time. The time for restarting (2x PP and 1x getting bribe for the dwarf traders) is about the same. So why do i prefer pickpocketing dwarftraders? Because of the loot i get. In 2,5 hours time I got over 500k of loot from the dwarftraders. From PP you will not get any, unless you go for a quick run to exchange your artefacts. However, the reward is not even close to the dwarf traders and takes extra time, so less xp per hour. Well, I hope this will be useful for other players.
