  1. ah long and shaggy got it and megadedged as good as crits are please tell me what I need to fix

the lines are very messy, and the figure doesnt look human, or even anime human. sure its not shaded yet, but right now it looks more like a slime ball than a head

  2. ANime?

what type of anime... because that looks more like a badly drawn outline than anything else, and theres tons of different anime styles so.... lol

  3. There isn't nearly enough blood and miscellaneous gore for it to be faithful to Elfen Lied. =P

    dont forget the nudity xD

Yes, I take that back. To be truly faithful to Elfen Lied, one would not only have to break the gallery rules, but also chain them down and violate them using a goat, two pieces of uranium and an Eskimo fisherman.

And for a second character? Someone being dismembered?

I was thinking about this being a group of all my favorite anime characters (Lucy, Schro, Griffith, Kurono, L, ect)

  4. the shading makes the piece look like a chunk of cardboard
A chunk of cardboard? Lol. Well if you showed me how to make it better id be grateful.
another thing is i find the 86 colors you use to be in much excess
Correction: It has 89 colors hehe. BTW why is it so bad that it uses many colors? I personally like using many colors
a bit of AA wouldnt hurt either
And where would you use AA? (aside from the text!)

    1. increase the contrast and lower the amount of colors

    2. the point of pixel art was to be used with minimal colors, you dont have to, but it sais MUCH more about your skill if you dont need many colors, contrast is key, as you have many colors, but they all look the same to me, leading to the flat feel

    3. the arms, the outside of the character, the hands, t

  5. the shading makes the piece look like a chunk of cardboard, its good th shade around the object, and the best practice is to look at REAL cloth bending around your arm (power of a mirror) as you draw.

another thing is i find the 86 colors you use to be in much excess, i could see that piece done in 12, and even then that is a little much, dithering is used to lower the amount of colors in the piece. and a bit of AA wouldnt hurt either

if you need any advice id be free to help

ok, this is what boredom + the elfen lied boxset equals, im going to be making pixels of my favoriteanime characters, and then, work with them for a (hopefully good sig).

    Current characters for sig

    Lucy

    Kei

    Schro

    Griffith

    Shion

C+C would be loved, and any other ideas/recomendations would be great as well

  7. you consider using lots of anime pics and putting in some pish poor lines is making ur own sig? well you keep thinking that ::'

you know, believe it or not, taking images and editing them to fit together is all that you do in other sigs as well, oh wait, you apply a filter as well... big [cabbage].

i use my own 'images'(C4D I MADE) in some of my more recent ones. but i definetly dont take them, edit them so slightly its barely visible to the human eye, and then call them my own. and if u notice, i never say this is MINE, i say new sig. so gg i win. \'

prove to me the edit is barely visible. you know, you sure do have one hell of an ego running into my thread and stating i havent edited these at all. without even finding the original pictures.

  9. Whoa.. I'm very suprised someone could be attracted to a distorted image of a human. @_@

I have to agree with WeeBoab here. It's not like you even edited the pictures (noticably). Skewing them so that they would be flush with the outline, and look correct with the perspective would have been easy, and improved this greatly.

There's some strange blurring going on in odd places, most clearly seen on the right side of the person.

Yeah, need a lot of improvement.

How do you know I didn't edit the pics?

other than that, thanks. the wierd bluring was my attempt to fix some jaggedness from the cropping

my CC: make your own sig.

    I Have.

  10. i take it you got the anime pics from a source, not ur own hand. in that case, what, by copying and pasting pics into boxes, make u think its ur work?

actually, I ripped them all from the actual tv show...

eew anime :XD: i personally dont like anime/manga/whatever

....now I'm starting to remember why I left in the first place
