  1. :o) That is good to know. I think I'm probably around 35 or 40 something...maybe higher. (i think i have about 35 att/ 30 str/ 30 def...so whatever total combat level that makes me) Does that influence a PKer? Do they normally look for someone close to their level, or just someone much lower? Or anything that moves? :o) I'm wondering if i'm just looking like a big fat sitting duck out there...PK Bait or something. hehehe
  2. How do you figure there is any honour in PKing? You sneak up on people and attack them. Most of which don't even want to fight. I honestly don't expect anything more when I go in the wild, but don't try and act like there is honour in PKing. PKing is just a form of thievery unless it is a challenge between two consenting people which in that case may involve some honour. But that's it. Calling people that have no intentions of fighting and flee or protect themselves from you honourless, sounds to me like your sore they got away from you. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are talking about a consenting challenge. :) I guess this is what originally prompted my question. I only venture into the Wild to train prayer. I go in assuming i will be killed. hehe So No armor, No weapons, No items, No retaliate. I can usually outrun most people that start attacking me since i'm unemcumbered. But it surprised me that, even when i tell them i have nothing (no profit), that i'm training prayer (no interest), and that i'm not fighting back (no challenge), that people still kill you anyway. I thought, if there was honor and thrill in PKing, why finish your kill once the honor and thrill are removed? It could have been just the few people i've encountered. But it is annoying. Maybe they think it's a ploy, i guess.. I dont know. Though i know...I bring it on myself by going into the Wild. It's the chance i take. I dont blame them for killing me, but i do doubt their integrity.
  3. For a F2P player...how can i get a hold of Law Runes? Are they spawned anywhere? i dont think i can craft them (as F2P)...right? Any shops that sell them, or would i have to buy them from players? (and if so...what's a decent asking price for them)? Thanks
  4. Heheheh! Yeah! There's some kind of mental stimulation going on, that's for sure. It's like...the moment you cross that line, it's like being in a slasher film or something. You are hearing strange noises and seeing black cats dashing around in the shadows. heheh Maybe it's something about being prey? I'd imagine that is how a rabbit feels every day of his life. hehehe
  5. "there can't be a high player population to choose from when a PKer goes hunting so they'll take any white dot they can find to relieve the monotony" Heheh...that's probably true. My eyes are glued to my Rundar looking for those white dots, and my heart kinda races when i see them coming right at me. Heheh! Maybe that could be another aspect of RS...seeing how far in you can make it without weapons or armor...and come back out alive. :o)
  6. Makes sense. Humans would be more challenging than a programmed NPC. Just curious. I've never PKed...but i do journey to the Wilderness for Prayer Training. I always go to the Wild "naked" though...no weapons, no armor, auto-retaliate set to 'off', never put up a fight...and people still attack me. :o) I know i take my risks in going there, and have absolutly no beef with anyone that attacks me. But it's curious to me that, giving no items or resistance, that people would still continue to fight me. I probably look too juicy of a target, and maybe people's bloodlust is high anyways. hehehe (and true, they could think i'm lying about not having anything) Doesnt matter though...i know the risks i take going there. Was just curious. :D
  7. I guess you do get some combat experience, right? It's challenging to i gather, but people PK mostly for the 'spoils' then, right? For the equipment they can claim after they win?
  8. Well...i wouldnt say "useless"...it is still fun on its own. :o) Wow...well, ok, thank you guys. I didnt know what was all involved in PKing. And thanks shade_bandyt...that really helped. I didnt know you could get all the equipment and all that $ and experience. I guess it would be pretty fun "hunting" people and getting all that stuff. :o)
  9. Probably a total newbie question, but i am new to Runescape, so just deal with it. :o) Besides maybe bragging rights...what do you get for killing other players (as opposed to NPCs)? Experience? Some equipment maybe? It seems like it's such a large part of people's time in RS, but i never understood why it was so popular in this game. Just curious, please...no need to flame (or challenge to a PK match). :o)
