like people said... its a game there is no point and will not benefit u in life... its made to have fun. which can be done several ways by pking, dueling, doing quest etc.
- as i see most people become addicted to the game and relize about a year later that this is all they have done and dont have a life. For me is more of just a relaxing thing or something i do when im bored and nothing good on tv. friends, school, and all real life comes first... this is just for fun nothing else.
You don't know what most people's real life like. I became addicted in summer 2004 until a few months ago. I have combat 123 and 1700+ total skills but I don't play Runescape much nowday also I bought World of Warcraft a few days ago.
I started playing Runescape BEFORE I began doing University course. Now I'm 2nd year University student and I still enjoy with my course. There are no problem that related to Runescape. Also I was addicted for created my own websites during school and college. There were no problems as well.

I don't like death penalty. It's kindly like murder or human kill another human. I'm happy for UK don't have death penalty. Prison for life probably more painful than death penalty.

I think the game is great and have been playing it for a little over a year. I think the community in some ways is better than RuneScape's due to a variety of reasons. I do disagree with the "10-13" part and do not think that fits well at all. While you run across some younger people (and you can tell), there are many older people playing it as well as people in their late teens. You are hardly inundated with junk messages - I've never had to turn "General" chat off at all. I find the community to be much more mature than any I've experienced. (Again, I know there are a few oddities and people who are extremely immature - but overall, it's great).
I am a person who prefers to solo and with WoW, you can do that. I've played a Priest, Mage, and Druid. While the priest got tough to solo with at around 55-60 (when I respecced out of shadow), it was still possible. Games like City of Heroes require a LOT of grouping and while that may be ok for some people, I still prefer to solo - which is totally possible in WoW. Getting to 60 and having PVP fun along the way is all up to you. The grouping system in WoW is very well coordinated also. It's so easy to find a group and people are often very nice and communicative when grouping. Don't think that finding a group is a daunting task - it really isn't!
Once you hit level 60 (and want to get better gear), you will have to do some 20/40-man raids (or private missions). These often take hours and while it isn't required, being in a guild with ~forty 60s helps a lot. Raiding at level 60 can be boring for some people. It's fun at first but can easily get tedious. Still, for people who aim to get the best gear possible, it isn't exactly a horrible way to go about it. The guild and DKP system is very advanced and it works. I think it also helps that WoW provides many community-like opportunities so it makes it easy to group and create and manage guilds.
There are a few types of servers and Role-Playing is one of them, where you can get very enveloped in the World of Warcraft world. My first character I created was a mage and I loved the scenery and the interaction with NPCs and real people. I took my time in the starting zones and when it came to looking around in the first capital city, I looked at every nook and cranny. You can have a submersive experience if you like. You have to remember that you are spending your money on it - it is up to you to decide how you want to play. While there will be pressure from other people forcing you to play a certain way, you don't have to do that.
WoW is really an experience that is hard to describe through words. I do not think you will regret buying the game at all. There are a multitude of things to do and you don't have to grind your way to the high levels. Once you have hit 60 and have done all the end-game content you like (that will take awhile!!), the replay factor is great. "Re-rolling" on a new class, race, or even faction (Horde / Alliance) is a popular thing among WoW players.
I really think you'll have a great time with the game. :)

If your around the age of 10-13 you'll fit right in with the community.
Serriously though, there are a lot of mid teenager's on that game, and thus, the community realy lacks. Plus (I personaly) can not get over the cartoony look of the game.
Don't let me deter you from buying it though, because I just don't like the game.
Do you know Runescape have lots of teenagers as well as rest of MMORPGs?
I don't care about cartoon look of the game. Some games that I like are kindly cartoon like SSX, Dark Cloud, Dragon Quest 8 etc. Cartoon look of the games don't mean label as kid games. Same for many cartoon television programmes.

It's good fun from 1-60, but after then it gets boring thanks to how serious people get, and how you can't do anything worthwhile without a large group.
I heard about 1 to 60 levels before. Are there other features like improve skills, doing anything myself rather than having group for longer time (like walk around the world, kill monsters without help, training myself etc) and events etc?

Before I gonna buy World of Warcraft and I still don't make decide if I gonna buy WOW yet even I played Warcraft 3 before. I know there have monthly fee but ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã8.99 in my homeplace and I can afford it.
But main reason is "is this worth game?" Don't tell me like "IT'S OWNS", "BEST MMORPG EVER" etc. I just want to know how this good game is and why people claim it's great game. I don't want to waste my money to buy this game if I play it for a few days or weeks then don't play again.

PS. If you start notice something about me. Yes I don't play Runescape a lot as I did last year ago. You'll probably see my stats as one of reasons. But I play Runescape for fun at the moment.

I'm serious think Jagex almost always change anything that look fine but after change or fix it to make worst for every weeks. I'm tired with it now...
Jagex should ask fans for what they think about change anything before doing it.

Gratz to The Old Nite. But you should never-ever said he did "finished character" or "complete runescape".

Quests, mini-games, get 99 for new skill (if it's release in the future), collect items, #1 total exp etc. Also very important is max 200m experiences per skill before they can become officially complete Runescape.

Also this month, as those who have been counting will be aware, we will be releasing our hundredth quest - a sequel to our first ever quest, Cook's Assistant.
I would be wait to see what's happen with 100th quest. I won't surprise if it's easy quest.

Why you refuse to level up farming? Yes it's suck and I know many people have 0xp for farming. But I also know some quests have good rewards that requirement include farming.
For people who whine over how reward is crap blah blah. I gonna said this reward is good. Free exp, new items, new places etc. Don't whine about it if you think this reward is useless. Most quests are not suck but it can enjoy yourself instead of training for hours. I usually enjoy to do quests when I'm bored. :roll:

Very possible since Jagex said new monster in multi-combat area in the wild. If new monster in the cave in scorpion pin then many people would be whine/cry over pkers, luring and pjing etc. If it's happen then just laugh at them.

I bet you have old holiday items as well but I still don't care about it. I'm against most merchant people. Many merchant people are kindly sound like overgreedy and scammers. I remember blue partyhat was 50m in September 2004. Now least 100m in more than 15 months BEFORE mass banned happened. It's worstest especially what's about santa hat's price and halloween mask's price before mass banned happened too. See? :roll:
I was unhappy at this time when I made last posted because it's very annoying cause I heard about same thing about how people care/complain about party hats for almost daily even in-game. It's hard to avoid because I can accident heard peoples' talk about it at in-game anytimes. Don't tell me about turn off for public chat. I usually do it but sometimes carefully because some people got banned (some got perm. banned too) for macro because noobs reported them for didn't answers. I'm not joking and it did happened after I read about it in other forums. :roll:
But after mass banned and it make worst than before, which people make much care/complain about party hats than before. Yes that's right, too much whining people especially every new updates. I don't care if I'm whine about people whining. :roll:
My only hopefully is all old holiday items make untradable or whatever to make stop people care/complain about holiday items' price but I probably won't care about their complain about untradable. :roll:
Ok I'm serious I'm getting tired with Tip.it forums now because of too much stupid/worthless/pointless topics, which I saw it for almost daily. That's how I start getting less make posts. It has change nowday unlike a few years ago. I don't care if my attitdute has change but I guess Tip.it forums has also change as well. :roll:
From now I might start make less posts than before and possible read-only topics in the future. I can't bother to read or make posts in this topic and other party hat topics. I bet people might can't bother read my post as well. I don't care about my english problem. :roll:

Another newish scam: someone tried to sell the the 'arena' book cheap by pretending it was the mage book (+15 mage). They actually got me to go to their world to trade a gold mystic set for it. She didn't reveal what she was trading til I got there... luckily I checked it out first! Reported as while she did eventually admit it was a scam, she still said you had to beat the arena and do 8 quests to win the book...
Also someone tried the ogre magi scam on me. Said he wanted me to weaken the ogre so he could finish a quest/slayer assignment/whatever. Again fortunately, I was busy slaying blues and it took him a while to communicate what he actually wanted. He saifd quite a lot too so he got reported... lol.
I heard about Arena Book too. I wonder where this book from and what's this book use for.

Wildy course has been the one giving the highest exp for ages now, and you don't exactely need lvl 80 to enter.
I fail to see how 44K an hour + PKer risk beats the Werewolf Course's 48.5K an hour with no PKer risk.
Almost 50k per hour in Werewolf...? Are you kidding? There have zipline where would be damage least 20 hitpoints on you and lost half exp of total exp if you fail there.

Jagex did good job for many times. Abyss is an example as great update and it did changed Runecraft nowday. If you don't like updates then simply don't do it and keep play like normal, whine boy. :roll:
That's the problem. i've been doing the same old stuff for too long.
Think about it. Most of the updates turn pointless after a couple hours.
Then quit Runescape if you found it's too bored.

I made more than 150k natures (and still counting) by used Abyss method. I'm no longer chop magic trees after Abyss released then Abyss become my money making.
You should know how Abyss is worth.

Mods can do Everything that normal players can, but they can also spawn items, change their skills, teleport anywhere, teleport anyone anywhere.
I've traded with a mod before, (The kbd was broken and I told Mark about it, he stood there ranging the KBD while the KBD was shotting me and ignoring him >_> he gave me my stuff back + the drop (Which was an addy axe))
Mods AREN'T allowed to PK, well, by pk they're not allowed to Attack people and try and pk but they're allowed to use it for self defence and probably allowed to attack people for fun but not pk seriously.
They're allowed to duel people and everything else, just can't do anything which'll give players advantage (Spawning an item to give to someone, pking someone, staking lots of things with someone)
I'm not sure if Jagex mod attacked people during DI vs RSD 2004. Also I saw some old pictures, which people pked Jagex Moderators included a Jagex mod dead then another mod came to attacked someone (who killed previous Jagex mod) then suddenly this mod was vanished/teleported in wild level 40's. :lol:

I'm P2P since September 2004. I don't play Runescape much nowday because it's bored and I'm tired with Jagex. P2P will make you bored too.
