I already have a thread on this, "Unexplained Instant Deaths," and the bug already has been confirmed and fixed as quoted by Paul from a sticky in the RS Forums.

Mods do NOT have any form of stat editors. They cannot change their stats or items in any way. Only staff have these, as they work for Jagex and sometimes need to edit these things to do tests for the game. Mods are just normal players who volunteer to help out. They have the exact same things as everyone else, except for modding tools (ability to mute and send priority reports).

Ask them for what reason? We just gave you a perfectly clear response. And just so you know, they're called "Jagex," don't know where in the world you got "Jaxek" from.

Best item you picked up at a drop party?
Hedgehog64 replied to TrickStick's topic in General Discussion
Probably a rune dagger... I don't go to drop parties often. I also got 6 strawberry seeds one time, lol. -
yeah newb is new player while noob is an annoying person (sometimes a new player as well but not always) they had better fix that. i was in no way noobish as a newb which, by the way is short for newbie or new person) when i started, yeah i did have 2 friends show me the ropes for about 10 minutes. i found varrock really quick then got to like 30 woodcutting outside the champions guild and near the stone circle, newb = yes noob = no i said nothing pretty much. sorry for the off-topic thing, but maybe i should submit a letter to them about it? or has someonel done so? They aren't wrong, those are the actual definitions. "Noob" actually does mean "New player," players are the ones who try to change the meaning and say it means "annoying person," which it doesn't. It's also a little-known fact that "Woot," while is used to mean "Woohoo," which is Jagex's definition, actually originated from the phrase, "We Own (the) Other Team," thus making the abbreviation "Woot."

Simply amazing... Jagex releases a brand new game engine, at the same time getting rid of autoers, allows Firefox and low detail users (that's me) to hear sound, quite possibly one of the biggest updates RuneScape has ever seen... and yet people still find some way to complain.

It's not a glitch, it has to do with the way Java works. This is how colors were made in RSC (you would type something like @red@[text here]) Then they changed the way you make colors in RS2 to make it easier to understand. So yeah, that's just Java for you, you can't log-in like that of course, since it counts the "@red@" as characters, but it is fun to play around with.

If you want confirmation, scroll up to see a quote from Paul. I think a quote by Paul is enough confirmation for most of us.

I guess there's no mods then, since everyone makes mistakes. Who told you f2p mods aren't allowed to make mistakes? If stars show, Jagex says themselves there's no need to report since it's already censored anyway. Even if everyone reports you, you wouldn't get banned, it's the quality of the reports that matters, not the quantity. Players always threaten to report mods, it never happens. The reports actually have to be valid. I also fail to see why it would be harder to become a mod if you're f2p. It's the same standards and guidelines, after all.
-
To put it simply, yes.
-
Maybe they don't train? Maybe they just know a lot? It's really none of our business why they were chosen as a mod, Jagex decided to mod them and obviously they were deserving of the recognition. I fail to see why this is amazing. Sure, it's uncommon, but the player deserves some privacy, and, like I said before, levels have nothing to do with modding ability.
-
I know of a great thread about this on the official RS forums, but I assume you're talking about on Tip.It, in which case, I've never seen it, sorry.
-
OMG! A level 3 mod! (Note sarcasm) Honestly, give the person some privacy. He/She probably gets that a lot. So what if they're level 3? It just goes to show you Jagex does not look at combat level. Levels have nothing to with ability to mod. Plus, like the above player said, maybe he/she is a skiller.
-
Well, as you can see from the quote by Paul above, it should be safe to go out everyone. *gestures to people hiding under rocks* I've been told by a j-mod they're going to continue monitoring the system just to be on the safe side, so sounds like everything's okay. :)
-
In my opinion that's a good change. People shouldn't have been saying it to begin with, as the real version of the word was censored. It doesn't bother me at all, since I always just say "darn" or something else.
-
That's why I said it could be a 'flawed' event. I guessed a random event since it seems to have been happening in different places. bestsob~ I don't think so. Hm, I suppose it's a possibility.
-
Couldn't tell you that much, sorry. As long as you don't go near gargoyles or Tears of Guthix (as that's where it's happening most often), you should be okay. Although you might want to leave those dragon chains and fire capes in the bank just as a precaution.
-
Hmm... I see, that's interesting. Although, what random event could they be working on that involves some random guy coming up to you, yelling some random message, and then randomly attacking you? o_O I can only speculate. Perhaps one of the events that attack you when you don't respond to them..? But I guess that's unlikely.. No, from what I'm hearing it's just coming up and randomly one-hitting them. People would have said if it was from a random event that they ignored.

Locked Account? Passwords Leaked? - Main Discussion Thread
Hedgehog64 replied to ForsakenMage's topic in General Discussion
If they locked all accounts with the same forum and RS names, that's bad news for me. :? -
Your friend might have accidentally had their private off, so they could talk to you but you couldn't talk to them. Also, the chat isn't lagging. It's like that so both players see the message at the same time. Previously it would show up right away for you, but the other player wouldn't see it until a few second later since it bypassed the server. Now it goes through the server so both see it at the same time. On the official RS forums there's a sticky regarding this in Rants and/or Recent Updates I believe.

Locked Account? Passwords Leaked? - Main Discussion Thread
Hedgehog64 replied to ForsakenMage's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for this info and thread, I've been noticing a lot of threads regarding locked accounts. :) -
Hackers, FBI, no one's really sure of the cause as of now. Although I'm pretty sure the FBI isn't to blame. I've got to go for a few minutes, hope no one suffers too much from this. :?

Yes, I mentioned at the end of my last post that people have been reportedly having strange messages pop up when they die... scary. As for the person who asked if Jagex knew about this, yes people have been sending in Bug Reports so they should know about it soon if they don't already. There's also many threads about this on the RS forums.

I've been hearing the most deaths seem to occur at Tears of Guthix and at Gargoyles, so definitely want to stay away from those places if you're planning on wearing anything expensive. I've also heard of some people getting some odd messages pop up on their screen when they are killed. :?
