Note to mods: I realize most bugs should be reported rather than posted, but this isn't a bug that can be abused, rather it can be harmful to players. I understand why you might lock this should you decide to, but please consider the players that need to be warned of this. I'm not sure if a thread regarding this has been posted yet, from what I can see there hasn't, but if there is already one I apologize. Recently people have been being one-hit randomly. Just out of the blue, dead. I've noticed a couple people said this happened to them when they were fighting gargoyles, so stay away from gargoyles. My advice to you, bank all of your expensive items. And no, I am not lying to you. So please don't flame me calling me a liar. One of my friends made a joke saying this could be a new macro detection, they think you're a macro and you get one-hit. :roll: In all seriousness though, let this be a warning until we get more information on this. If I find out anything else I will let you know. I don't mean to cause mass panicking and/or ranting, as I know that's what this thread will achieve from some people, I am only trying to warn people. Edit: I've also just heard someone say this happened to them while mining gems in Shilo Village. I've been hearing some people dying at Tears of Guthix.

I believe I can make money on whatever account I choose, it is not cheating to make money on differnt accounts. Just drop trading it is cheating. Everyone calm down... that person was calling Dharockslayer a cheater, not you. At least I think so, since Dharockslayer said he gave money from his main to his pure defense character, which is in fact cheating.

Hedgehog64 = My RS name. I got my RS name from: Sonic the Hedgehog owns both you and me. 64 is basically just a number I like, since just "Hedgehog" was taken.

Sounds like this is a great update, I haven't been to the RuneScape site yet this morning to check it out, better go see. :wink: Although if ALT characters are allowed (ÃÆýÃâ¹ÃâÃÆââââ¬Å¾Ã¢ÃâÃÂ¥ÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¥, etc.) I'm not going to be happy... they already annoy me enough on the RuneScape forums when they became allowed... can you say "infinite ways to bypass the censor"? Honestly though, with ALT characters being allowed, it's so simple to bypass the censor. Ugh... :?

You aren't expected to know the prices of all the items, or even any item for that matter. Who told you that? Player mods are just the same as normal players except they can mute and send priority reports in. Knowing the prices of items has nothing to do with it. i'm pretty sure he means that a lot of people expect you to know the price of every item in the game :wink: True people might expect you to know them, but that doesn't mean you need to. When people ask me the prices of an item I usually tell them to look at the Item Price Check Guide sticky in the Item Discussion forum, as it has the price of every item in the game. But anyway I'll stop arguing about the price thing. :? When people ask me questions, if their answer can be found in the Knowledge Base, I direct them to that, or I usually just answer their question.

A couple friends and I were hanging out in the chicken coop between Lumbridge and Varrock. One of my friends was around level 10, my other friend was around level 30 or something. I think I was around level 4. I thought my friends were so strong. :wink: So of course in the chicken coop there's tons of bones on the ground from people killing the chickens. I start burying bones, and a shade turns up. It was either level 13 or 25, incredibly strong. :wink: I was in such a panicked daze when it showed up, I didn't know what random events were or what the shade was doing here, so I just auto-retalliated when it hit me. My level 30 or so friend started telling me to run, but as I said I was so confused and couldn't get away in time. :(

Nice work, it's always fun outwitting scammers and rulebreakers. It's also usually not to hard to do so, since scammers and rulebreakers normally aren't too intelligent. :wink: Also fun to loot drop traders, then they log in and get all mad at you. Then they say "You took my stuff, give it back!" Then you reply with, "If it was yours and you wanted it, why was it on the ground?" :wink:

It isn't just merely reporting people, it's a bit less robotic. They say participating actively in the forums helps, being a helpful person etc.

Well, changing your recovery questions in a day is not possible, since it takes 15 days or so for them to set, just in case situations like yours arise. I don't know what to tell ya though, sorry. Maybe try the "Recover a locked account" link on the RuneScape main page?

I have to admit, it would be pretty funny to see a player mod say that and then have like fifty autoers log off. :wink:

If you're p2p, there are no autoers at the yews, but by the way you said that I'm assuming you're f2p. Go to the willows by Draynor, they're fast xp, just keep in mind you'll get almost no profit.

I'd say the level 51. It's relatively easy to make a small amount of quick cash in members, so money shouldn't be too much of a problem, but combat level will make things easier. But then again, total level is good to have. It's your choice.

You can probably get more from the guy you speak to to start the quest. If I remember he's by the general store in Ardougne. (not positive though since I never had to get more.)

I was f2p until about combat level 72. So the only thing I trained on until then were moss giants, they give good drops and were the strongest monster around, besides lessers and greaters, but those were way too strong for me at the time. If you want to train on moss giants, they're in the Varrock Sewers, you should be at least level 50 or high 40s or so though, so you might want to find something easier before you try there. Until level 50 combat, I suggest training on Barbarians, assuming you're f2p. If you're a member there's a wider variety of monsters.

Okay... you told us you had a question about it, so what's your question? :roll: Like the above, sometimes you'll get a message, sometimes you won't. It doesn't mean if you don't that your report didn't get to Jagex, it's just that with the high volume of reports they get, they usually can't send messages. I remember long ago I used to usually get messages for almost every report I sent, but I can't even remember the last time I got one now. Nowadays they just have too many reports to deal with. It's nothing to worry about, you should just continue being helpful and report rulebreakers as you see them. :wink:

Really? Where did you find this bit of information? I'll be waiting for you to tell me. As for my opinion, you should play RuneScape. But then again, you're posting this on a RS fansite, what type of response did you expect? :wink:

There are many more older players than most people realize. The sad truth of it is, most older players are embarrassed to tell their age because either: A. They think they're the only older player out there. or B. They're afraid of being made fun of by all of the younger players, who often say older players have "no life." Unfortunately, choice B is almost always true. I'm glad there are as many older players as there are, without them the RS community would be a huge immature mess. Also, not to advertise for clans or anything, but there's a group called "AESOP" (if you search that in the RS forums they'll come up), who have no level requirements, but they have a required age of 18. It allows older players to enjoy "old times" without the stresses of most clans. You might want to check it out if you're interested in finding other older players.

I know this is kind of off-topic, but this sig really bothers me. Saying people have "no life" is incredibly stereotypical and immature. Where does it say on the RuneScape website that this game is designed for kids? It doesn't. If people enjoy doing something, then they have a right to do it. Some adults enjoy playing RuneScape. They have a right to without having kids saying they have "no life." I could say the same thing about kids. Kids who play this have no life. RuneScape is for adults. Obviously that's not true, but it has the same amount of truth as your sig. Also, one more thing to think about it. RuneScape was created by adults. Tip.it was created by adults. So mostly all other well-known fansites. Again, sorry for off topic, I just had to get that out. It just really bothers me. Well, that's my two cents worth I guess. :?
