Using Bolts at Fight Caves instead of Crystal Bows
Well you figure you WANT to have hp when doing fightcaves so Ruby (e) bolts are out of the question. Which leaves you with Emmy (e) and Diamond (e)... I think Diamond would be the way to go definatly. Because Emmy would hit less and less often, and D-stone or Onyx would be ridiculously expensive for the amount you'd need for all 63 waves of the Caves. You could try about 5-6k Diamond (e) and then buy 1-2k D-Stone (e) for Jad. That would be good if you have the money for it. In fact when I go back to get my cape, if I ever do, I can see myself using this set-up. Easily, actually. BTW, Current prices, courtesy of Zybez PG: Diamond (e)-----> 850-900 ea (be cheaper IMO to buy addy + diamonds and craft own laws to enchant yourself) Dragstone (e)---> 8k-9k (noone said it would be cheap #-o :-w ) and If you really wanted to waste time and money buying: Onyx Bolts (not enchanted) ---> 20-25k each :-X

The dragon scimitar, is it worth it?
3) The dragon scimitar is not at all more accurate than the dragon longsword, and certainly not "a huge amount more." The dragon scimitar is actually less accurate than the dragon longsword because it has a lower attack bonus. (+67 vs. +69) Also, the dragon longsword is more versatile with its accuracy because it also has a +58 stab bonus which can come in handy against monsters weak to stab (and in one quest, Spirits of the Elid, I think). 4) The dragon scimitar's special attack is next to useless in PvM. It only makes the attack more accurate by an amount that neither the RS KB or Tip.it will say, but I would estimate at only around 10-15%. Its special is ok in PvP, but the dragon longsword's special attack is still better. You can use the dragon longsword's special attack 4 times in a row without recharging and each of those 4 attacks is better than one special of the dragon scimitar's. The special attack of the dragon longsword increases accuracy and damage for one hit by another value that neither the RS KB or Tip.it will say, but one that I have observed to be around +25-35% for both. Saying that, I still agree that the dragon scimitar is better than the dragon longsword in a PvM environment because is gets 3/2 the attacks. I think that the dragon longsword is better in PvP, though, because in the duel arena you only need at most to do 99 damage to your opponent (most people play without food and drinks) and 4 potentially high hits will get you very close to KO'ing your opponent. Also, a lot of people only duel with prayer off, thereby further weaking the special attack of the dragon scimitar. I'm not going to be stuck with either weapon in the wilderness, favoring the dragon dagger and whip. I'm not even going to step into the anyway for that matter, so for me, the point is moot. One last comment: Is this really the right forum for this thread? You aren't asking for advice, and this seems like more of a debate thread to me. If you didn't mean for this thread to be a debate, then sorry, this is the internet, you can't expect to be able to post your opinions without someone trying to shoot them down. :XD: Firstly I must give credit where it is due, Atronic you took the words right out of my brain. Those are the exact 2 points I was about to argue as well. Secondly, this is more of a debate. With that being said it belongs in the "Debate" Sub-forum of the Rants forums. Which you will find there is already a extremely long debate about the "D-Scimmy vs D-Long" scenario.. its old news. Yes I have used a scimmy in the past but I found myself getting frustrated at the amount of zero's I was hitting. So after 80 str I vowed to never use a scimmy again, and to this day I haven't, nor have I str trained period for that matter. However, when I max my other combats and finally need 99 str for combat 126, I will use a d long instead of scimmy.. If you think about it 4 specs, not slower by much and less zeros. Perfect weapon in my eyes. Granted whip > all d-weps.

Sir spamelot; or the good ol' spam of ham.
If your feelings are really that hurt over what someone said in an online forum, you need psychiatric help. Peoples feeling get hurt over watching their friend stub their toes... some people are very intact with their feelings and only minor changes in their environment can stimulate that sensation. It happens. So just because you or I don't worry ourselves with what other peoples say over a forum doesn't mean someone else needs "psychiatric help" because they are feeling indifferent. I also enjoy how you seem to be quoting every post I make. As for your other one, I am hardly stuck up, the only rich I have ever been was in a run down apartment for 8 years of my life, if you want to consider it rich. I do because alot of people out there have nothing. The only hypocrite I see is the one calling other people rich and "stuck-up". Just because I can use proper grammar(for the most part) and payed attention in English class doesn't mean that I was raised in the upper classes. Nor am I stuck-up, for if I was, I wouldn't be posting everyday in the H&A forums. I'd have the mind of "well those people are idiots, why should I help them?!??" or even "Its not my problem." but instead I take the time to provide knowledge that I have to them and I am stuck up? I suggest you look in the mirror before you judge others. Get the "gestalt" before you start throwing things out there.

KQ-ING stats....
I would say your ideal to go. Just be prepared to not hit alot and hope your friend is a good friend to share a chain drop. I mean I believe if you really want to go though, try training up to 80 defence and use super sets.

Berserker necklace - how much are they worth?
About 3.8-4m... Thats what Zybez price guide says.

IRON DRAGON
I know, but what if someone is low range and wanna have fun and cant afford bolts? Then id say bone cross and bolts wud be good. But to be honest, if u had high range level 80+ and good range bonus, bone cross and bolts wud do fine if u ask me. With 81 range at black dragons is took me somewhere in the ballpark of 4-5 mins to kill 1 drag. Honestly if you can't afford emmy (e) bolts, then you shouldnt be trying to range metal drags. Point blank. I don't even see how you could have "fun" trying to kill them as it would take upward of 7-8 minutes per drag which is 2 doses of anti-fire pots. Which they man two posts up said. You would lose more money than you gain. Unless you got a visage on the first drop.
-
Dragon Scales
Not when you're training range... leaving makes the monsters aggressive again... Thats why you bring a Anti-Fire shield and use a world where people will be killing the mother Blues, then you won't have to worry about it. Unless your combat is low and the Babies will attack you, even then. Decent armor should suffice against them. When I say it doesn't hurt to try I mean it wouldn't be breaking your leg to try it.
-
IRON DRAGON
Actually you only have to stand 2 squares away from any metal drag for it no to melee you. So if you have a Anti-Fire shield and Anti-Fire pots you won't get hit. Using the shield, however, will mean you need to use a cbow. Using a cbow really isn't any good unless you have emmy (e) bolts or higher. So I mean you could try it, but I don't know how profitable it will be.

Dragon Scales
I am sure its very difficult, unless you have fally teles and 70 agil. It sounds doubtful though. It's very hard to make 1m+ an hour without getting ]extremely[ lucky with monster drops, runecrafting, after 91 of course, or merchanting. Best thing to do is try it out for yourself IF YOU HAVE 70+ AGIL. Devote 10 minutes of your full fledged attention to collecting the scales. However many you collect in that 10 mins, multiply by 6, and you will have your "approximate" total. Then take the approximate total you got and multiply it by 800-1k. That is your total profit for that hour. Granted selling them might be difficult. Again it never hurts to try.

Help, becoming a member
In all honesty you should NOT be afraid to become a member. Its all a matter of enjoying the game. If you have grown bored with F2P and think members is the way to go by all mean indulge yourself in the hectic life of a member. Now don't let my words scare you. It is just there is so so so so so much more to members than F2P that you will want to do a little bit of everything. The key to becoming a good member is doing a little of everything, just a little, and then training normally like you did on F2P. The only suggestion(s) I can give you is: -1- get 45 mage(you can do this in f2p or p2p) so you can Cammy Tele, trust and believe its a hell of alot better than walking. -2- Do quests upon quests upon quests. Mainly "Lost City" and the various other quests, as well as their pre reqs, that allow you to teleport throughout members. In all thats all I can suggest. Best of Luck to you in your attempt to be a member. Just ask for help if you need it. I personally always have Private chat on, feel free to ask me any question you may have.

Sir spamelot; or the good ol' spam of ham.
Everytime I see a post that remotely looks like span I report it. I suggest you do the same. It helps to clean up the forums a bit and I hope that users getting reported for multiple spamming posts get at least some sort of temporary ban or some type of punishment of that nature that will make them think twice before ruining a different persons day. You are exactly correct. (bold) In all honesty if you think a rant is unimportant, is irrelevant or even if it is "stupid" or "overused". It all goes back to the classic quote "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." People are to immature to realize this and simply have no respect for other peoples dispositions. (underlined)People who think they are gaining "respect" or are actually gaining self confidence, are in-fact very ridiculous. They need to stop playing this game because noone will give you respect for hurting another players feeling especially over a video game. -------------------------------------------------------- Short and simple report people to help the problem. Don't complain and become part of the problem

I have a life! I only play 2 hours a month of runescape!
Its not completely "thought out" but it definatly is short and sweet and to the point. As far as people not knowing when to stop bothering me... It doesn't lol. Why should we care that people are playing a game for more hours a week than people with full time jobs work?? I sure as hell don't. ---------------------------------------------------------- Quite indifferent. I think you were crying for attention with this post. I wouldn't say its rude as much as it is either an insecure person, who states the lies before mentioned by the thread creator, in hopes of looking "cool" or just someone who loves attention. You choose. ----------------------------------------------------------- Other than that all I can honestly say is this is a very legitimate rant. No one in the entire Runescape community cares if you play for 5 minutes every third leap year only on even months... it doesn't much make you look any better than the average RS player who plays for 4-5 hours a day. With the exception of stats :-$ . Just saying, before you say someone has no life, think back to since you started playing, I bet you have played for more than 4 hours on a given day... :boohoo:

DT Skeletons or Experiments? Wanting xp per hour comparison!
Well I can give you my experience per hour with experiments. Exp per hour with ideal conditions(no pure nubs  ): -----Stats: 80 str 85 att -----Str bonus: Whip(dds for spec when bar fills) Neitz Climbers (boots) Drag Gloves Rune Def Obby Cape -----Other Bonus': Combat pots Not sure what the exact str bonus, but str bonus is what you want here. I averaged 50-65k exp an hour training for 99 defence. Note: That was without the str bonus of Torso or Bandos Tassets or Drag boots. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Thats my conclusion  Hope you find some info like this for skeles and I hope I was helpful.

Runescrafting
I still believe airs aren't as good cash as nats. Nats are x2 at 91 Airs are x10 at 99 91 is halfway to 99 so therefore is half the effort to get to. 2x54 = 108 nats per run (With all pouches) 1 run takes approx 120 seconds 3600 seconds in an hour, 30 runs an hour 30x108 = 3240x300 = 972k 10x54 = 540 airs per run (with all pouches) 1 run takes approx 90 seconds 3600 seconds in an hour, 40 runs an hour 40x540 = 21600x12.5= 270000 (12.5gp per air based on average price on zybez priceguide) Hope this has helped 30 runs an hour m8? Man you are losing out on 400k an hour crafting that way. Anyone who would like to make an average of 1.2-1.4m an hour following Zarfots guide and trust me its a very Very extensive guide with all types of calcs and equations and so much information your mind will explode. That guy knows his stuff! Quick find code: 22-23-135-51123056 Check it out m8, quite impressive if I do say so myself. (He has a slayer guide too :anxious: )

Slayer Help
For the record he trained slayer using recoil rings. FYI. Which means he didn't technically use combat. So the thread posters question is actually a valid one. OT: I would suggest training slayer controlled. You will appreciate doing so once you get around 60-70 slayer and realize you jumped 50-60 combat levels. Unless you are a pure, I suggest you do this, its well worth it, and I wish I would of. But in short, yes you can train slayer very easily, just use the master in Burthorpe.

Runescrafting
If you check your in-game skill guide on Runecrafting, you can click the "Multiple Runes" tab and see what levels it takes to double, triple, etc etc what runes. At 99 you can make 10 airs per ess! :

What do you have some built up anger toward pures and merchs? I want to merch alot of the time and I use my stats... merchanting was faster moeny though. If you don't have advice on the topic of discussion, then why post? For post count or to make people feel like crap?

Best OutFitt with Defence Cape and Hood
This is what I wore

Most Important Combat Skill?
It more-so depends on what your going to do. Are you going to slay monsters or kill players. If your doing the while NPC killing or training slayer, than defence is the way to go. If your going to try pking or staking then str and att are the way to go. I realized that the hard way. Losing to people with 88 attack and 70 defence in the duel arena... oh yea I had 91 att and 99 def.... -.- WTG JAGEX

what's my best bet for any GS?
Merchanting maybe? Try like godsword shards for 900k ea then smith into blade and sell 3m? I dont know if that works but ya never know. (Just be sure to check up on prices before you attempt this #-o :-k ) or Liquefy your bank (meaning sell all your items for pure cash) and then have a go at merchanting barrows. You could average anywhere from 3-6m in a 8(ish) hour period.

Merchanting help needed...
Firstly, the guides to merching arn't there for you to know prices they are there for you to get a ideas as to what to merch and how to merch it. It's your job to find and figure out prices.
