  1. I always use spot 4, its the best if you ask me and many others will agree. The only problem to using the spot is that its very popular and it takes a couple of world hops to get an empty world.
  2. On average I hear of people lighting 1k logs an hour. BTW try using 3-4 tinderboxes in your invent spread out across your invent to minimize clicking. So from 70-99 it takes 12,296,804 experience. 1k yews: Time to burn: 1 hour Total exp gain: 202,500 Exp Needed: 12,094,304 3k Maples: TTB: 3 hours TEG: 405,000 Exp Needed: 11,689,304 143k Willows: TTB: 143 hours TEG: 12,870,000 Exp Needed: -1,180,696 :P ------------------------------------------------------------ With that said, 2-3 hours a day at 4-5 days a week. Min per week: 8 hours Max per week: 15 hours Min days for 99: 9.8 weeks (15 hours per week) Max days for 99: 18.375 weeks (8 hours per week) ------------------------------------------------------------ In conclusion it will take you 2 months and near 2 weeks at 15 hours a week. It will take about 4 months and about 2 and a half weeks at 8 hours a day. Please inform me if I calc'ed wrong. It would be much appreciated.
  3. I didn't even get beasted lol. Well I did but not by someone with higher attack than I do defence. Thats whats really bugging me I lost to someone 11 att lvls lower than my def, but when evenly matched 99 att and 99 def, and it didn't even seem to be a match as I won with 40 hp. Just wierd is all, weird. Solidus: Apparently the way I view life differs from the average. Luck has no place in the examples you gave (talents, gender, enironment etc) Everything in life is predisposed. You have a set life-line with various multi-way paths of which are given to you for your to decide to follow. If you are born with a disability thats the life that was already decided for you to live, yes by God. I do believe in God, although I am not wholly religious. Thats just the way I see it. And I did not say luck was never present in life, I simply said skill will get you further in life than luck will. Skill is for life, luck has its tendencies to run out.
  4. Its all a matter of opinion though really. I spent upward of 70 hours at experiments and I continue to go there and train even at level 110 combat. If your dedicated enough and you have a high enough tolerance level for boredom then whatever you're doing won't be to bad.
  5. Well for str, with dharoks at Ape Atoll alter, you can get 90k+ exp an hour. Using super str and attacks and the highest str boosting prayers. You could do the same with attack and defence I suppose since they all can be trained with Dh, but I guess people see using Dh as more of a strength thing and att/def as something different like using a whip. So the 2 (str and att/def) get split up into two different ideas of training when you really can just do them all with Dh or at the same monsters you would train att/def with usig a whip only with a different weapon such as a d scimmy or anchor. I don't train str so honestly I haven't a clue why or how it would be different unless its the fact that d scimmy hits worse than a whip or the above reason about Dh being str related. Its all the same to me really though :
  6. If you are looking for fast natures and levels, use either the abyss or balloons from the enlightened journey quest. Both take about 85 seconds for one run (thats 1 minute and 25 seconds per run) once you get the hang of it that is. If you want to know more about where I got my information I suggest you and everyone else who ever plans on ever runecrafting efficiently reads some, if not all, of this guide to runecrafting. Its on the RSOF (Runescape Official Forums) Quick find code: 22-23-135-51123056
  7. If you are doing slayer stick with the whip and rune defender. It has been proven that prior to the release of rune defenders and slayer masks, dharoking was about 5-10% more effective for killing slayer tasks, however with the release of those items, dharoks has become obsolete. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you plan on strength training. Then dharoks at Ape Atoll alter is the best place. You can get upwards of 90k exp an hour there using super str and att pots and the highest str prayer. Just be sure to bring super-anti pots as there is a little spider there that will poison you constantly and hes a dangerous little guy -.-
  8. Verac is 2.9m now  :anxious: You can always try slayer, it is boring yes i know, but somehow i've made like 20m with it and i have soon only 70 slayer Apparently you don't read very well or you have selective reading as some do selective hearing. I clearly stated before you even view the Hidden examples, that "PRICES HAVE CHANGED SINCE I STOPPED MERCHING BARROWS." So maybe next time if you plan on commenting on something I write read it all, then read it again, because I alway explain anything prior to writing something else if I know the information has shifted or needs to be viewed in a different way.
  9. Try merchanting.. you could even try a method I use. Please take note of a couple things: 1- The examples I give are for barrows merching, but the tips are generally a rule of thumb, that you should follow all the time while merching. 2- The prices HAVE changed quite a bit since I stopped merching barrows. 3- Obviously since you only have 5m, you WON'T be buying guthans as its upward of about 6.6m-6.8m, last I saw. Thats if you choose to merchant and merchant barrows. 4- You CAN merchant other things such as ores, runes, bones and various other armors and weapons. [hide=Here ya go, hope it helps. (Long Read)] Make a post on the forums, Runescape Official Forums (of course), and post what you are buying and the amount of what you are buying in the title. 10. This is where people make a common mistake. Merchanters do not try to BUY an majority of there items (whichever it is they are merchin) in w2. Since thats where all the other merchanters are. 11. I enjoy killing blues for a few hours of fun. The hides and bones pay for the mith(e) bolts. I like to kill them in under the heros guild in a world thats Full-1800 for faster respawns. Bring 'air bolt' runes too, for when rude people decide to come by and "steal" your dragon/world. (Yes I realize it's NOT MY dragon, but if I am in a world by myself killing a dragon and someone logs in and tries to kill it too instead of just logging and finding an empty world, well thats just rudeness, ignorance and being plain outright lazy. And YES I do hop worlds if I log in and see people there, I do it at least 10 times then I just go to whichever world had the least amount of people out of the ones I hopped from) You could try camping at dusties for a chain. Rcin nats will make you about 250k+ an hour if your concentrating. Then at lvl 75-90 you can make about 500k+. At 91 you can easily bank 1m+ an hour doing double nats. Fishing sharks isn't so bad, I can average 80-100 an hour at 80 fishing. If you want something boring but out of the ordinary. Get at least a 20+ supply of tiny elf crystals head to Lleyta (or however you spell it, the elf town) -Get a map of the forrest and remember where the white berries spawn. -Go to a crowded world (preferably 2,6,9, or 144) -Wear weight-reducing clothes, and keep a dueling ring or glory (just in case you forget to get a charged elf crystal.) -Keep only the elf crystal in your invent. -Run to the white berry spawn. -Collect all the berries to fill your invent, and then tele with crystal and bank.(unless you have high, and I mean high 80+, then you more than likely will get poisoned. So drink a dose of anti-poison eat food to heal then make another run.) Doing the white berries you should be able to bank 300-500k an hour as they sell for 1k each (1.1k if you get lucky)
  12. Your right it is a "gamble" and their is a "luck factor" involved. But with higher stats, and facing someone 3 times, I would assume that the first was a lucky win, and I should win at least 1 out of 3. I mean Skill > luck in every other aspect in life why change that at risk of getting players ranting in this game. I mean apparently this player is extremely lucky, god forbid he loses a duel for not working as hard on his stats as others. =;
  13. I agree m8. I'm not asking to be invincible, just to hit more with my high att on lower def and get hit less from lower att on my maxed out def. Lost 4 duels to people with lower att lvls than myself... and it's not like I'm ddsing, I know exactly whats best for my character. Its simple a simple equation or at least it should of been: No armor/Def Bonus + High(Maxed) defence level = Least chance to get hit...
  14. Yea like I said I'm not upset that I lost the money, its only a game, money can be remade. But yea I like what Dragonlord said, this is the only RPG where higher is not better... which is kind of depressing. Wonder if staking armor on with whips would affect anything... who knows. Its sad to think that I could level attack up to 99 and it make no difference in boxing... of all things. God forbid I hit at least a 1 everytime (with an occasional zero) I punch or kick someone with no armor on... when they have 80+ defence.. A shame really... The difference on monsters is reasonably noticeable though. With fires though, even though they hit hard reguardless, they hit me mysteriously often :-k Maybe I should take this rant to the RSOF, but god knows Jagex rarely looks there and the only time a 'Mod' looks at most threads is to remove a bad post or if its one of their friends making the post.
  15. Okay, now before you reply, note that I have 99 defence and I started staking. Now I am not upset at the money I lost as I made 500k to stake with by skilling, for the main purpose of staking so it's no lose to me really. I am upset because of the fact that I lost to people with sigificantly lower attack lvls relative to my defence and vice versa (their def relative to my att) I recently lost some money staking to two people, one with 88 attack 90+str and 83 def the other 88 att 88 str and 86 def. Now I realize 91 attack isn't much higher than their defence levels. What I am failing to realize is how their attack levels hit more on 99 defence than mine does on that of under lvl 90. Now I know what you may think, their str lvl is higher so of course they will hit harder, but I made note that they were hitting more often as well. A couple of times, they were left with 20+ hp... how does that happen? Prior to staking them, I faced a gentleman with 99 attack, and beat him by an astonishing 30-40 hps. How does this happen?? Does Jagex even pay attention to the way they program the combat stats relative to no armor? Please don't flame me saying, "get over it", "your only ranting because you lost money" or anything else of that nature. I WILL report you as it is spam.
  16. Is there any other worlds for dueling and staking (not funning) other than the Jagex recommended 83? I find a rare occurrence of anyone within the lvl range of 105-113... and those seem to be what I am looking for. So I was wondering whether or not there was an alternate world where more high lvls staked or just another world in general that I could search for more opponent on.
  17. Its'a RC'in goal!! yea just like all the other ppls!!! woooo
  18. I thought the vampire was the hardest, seeing as I died. But I had friends with me doing the quest all together so the next time I just used a friends sharks and killed him kinda easily.
  19. ultimatballr replied to edard's topic in Help and Advice
First of all, do NOT train slayer for the fastest exp, its not the fastest and dependent on you task luck, it can be the slowest. It would help if you gave us more information on your levels such as combat lvl and current str lvl but whatever. I suggest doing experiments which is 50-60k exp an hour use combat or att pots to speed up the process. But thats just me... you know I don't have a 99 stat or anything  check siggy maybe Also, if you are 100+ combat, you should definatly invest in a good PC clan. Once you hit 83 str, go straight to PC and from there till 99 get going. Its the fastest exp without using guthans. If you can/will and want to use guthans, the get yourself to the daggs under the lighthouse, and enjoy yourself till 99. You could also grab a cannon and 10k cbs to keep the dags close to you and on you.
  20. I like to switch to full rune neitz helm and rune def+whip. Then switch to guthans to heal. Its all your own preference. If you use both though your guthans doesn't degrade as fast, saving some money.
  21. I think if you play 6-8 hours a day its possible in 2 weeks. 3 at the most. If your "normal" and play for 2-4 hours a day then a month to a month and a half to get it.
  22. Like I said, they are a bit slow, but they are not so slow that you will be upset with the amount you caught by the time a few hours pass by. Maybe like 75-120 an hour at 63. Once you hit 70 if your in a spot by yourself, you will not catch under 100 an hour unless your not paying attention. Than at 80+ I hear its 200 chins an hour and up.
  23. Wildy is the way to go till 70. From then on train at Ape Atoll. Either switch to ancients with your best ice spell, or bring entangle runes with you. That always helps keep the pkers away from me, I am yet to be pked while agil training. Although I have gotten a PK, DDS + entangle runes and earth blast lol. Farcasting + Chivalry = Fr33 St00f Pl0x!
  24. I did red sallys from 59-63 then did red chins right after. I would suggest doing orange until 59, but buy more waterskins so that you almost have a full invent, leave 3 or 4 open invent space and bring 23 waterskins + a knife to refill. Do those till 59, shouldn't take long 10 hours MAX, if you have the right spot. Then do red sally till you feel like it. If your going for red chins, I would suggest catching them even at lvl 63-99. People here will tell you to catch red sallys until 80 hunting, but you make money with chins, its not the fastest exp but its money in your pocket and its not that slow. Its like catching sharks at 76 instead of waiting till 90 to catch them to make it a little faster. Sometimes you have to take money over exp, ya know? :
