thanks for showing off the only person you have impressed is your mother. they dont care about gpa this has been stated already, they care about class rank. No, I'm pretty sure they factor in both. I know I've seen college admission factors from several different schools that list a different percentage for both class rank and GPA. What was stated is that they don't care that much about weighted gpa. you might be right, but i think they look at class rank a lot. I think they might factor in both, cause then its unfair in small private schools (where people usualy get high grades). I donno whatever, it probably varies from college to college really.
  6. She wants me to become a doctor, or something succesfull. Probably what i am going to do, though i really want to be a graphic designer  .

you are right they don't judge gpa, nor AP (i don't know where you got that, i didn't even send my school my AP scores till after i got accepted). But schools judge class rank, which is based on gpa, and therefor is pretty much the same thing. Your gpa does matter because schools look at both. No I mean that the school administrators aren't judged by their student's GPA's. Last year Newsweek released a list of the top 1000 schools in the United States and it was all based on AP testing attendance and scores. oh i c, i thought you were talking about colleges, not like high schools. Because then you are right.
  10. i only bite my nails when they good long, because i am to lazy to go around the house searching for a nail clipper. But like others have said, you obviously have mastered the art yet.
  11. he can start saving up for car or something. that usually motivated people to work. but if you don't really need money, i would recommend some sort exercise. maybe a new sport (basketball, skateboarding, maybe just running)? you can start lifting weights? Because sitting infront of the computer all day is defintely not good for you. And once you have something going, you will feel like you have accomplished something at the end of the day. All these things are good for you, and probably will take 30min-1hr each day, so you still have plenty of time to spend on comp.

I will.. im sure ill get over my male PMS this next year.. 1st part of the year = a's b's.... but once 2nd half starts... it so sickening i stop caring., I know you can do it, i know botanreaper can do it. Doing well in school is a choice you have to make. It is something that in the end, believe or not, will make you happier. Don't do it for you parents necessarly, because these 4 years could decide how you will spend the rest of your life. 2.0 + gpa is usualy of kid that has the potential, but is just lacking the drive.
  14. Wait i don't get this topic, is this a question of would i eat bbq spare ribs? if so, then yes, yes I would eat bbq spare ribs.
  15. i believe this is all i need to post. i see several people live in boston, going there for school next year, how about you guys, you guys staying in boston for school?
  16. Its always on top of my feet, every year when we go to NC its the one spot that totaly gets baked. I am pretty pale, but i spend time outside so my skin gets used to it, but ofcourse i am always wearing shoes so those babies pretty much never see the light of day much. So when we go to NC my feet are as pale as snow. Last year they even bubbled a little they were burned so bad. I hate putting on a bunch of sun screen but i regret it every year  .

my 9th grade gpa was above a 4 (don't really want to tell everyone wat it was, im a tad personal about my grades), but thats besides the point. You really should aim for 3.0, and i know you can do it. Just put some effort into it, do your hw and such. A 3.0 is definetly in your reach and is a very respectable gpa.

  23. If you are going to go to college you have to be serious about it. Don't be afraid of the student loans just get the best education you can get. You will get a much better job, and won't have as much trouble with the loans. You don't want to wake up 5 years from now and think "what if i would have went to college?"
  24. You can graduate HS with very low standards, here in the US most schools have so many classes to take you can get all the credits you need with out much hard work. Some schools programs aren't really up to par and are pretty sad really, but most schools offer a wide variety of classes that will challenge you. If you are a smart person you can get a good education, but you dont need to (if you don't care what college you end up going to). If you do fine in Canada you will do fine in USA, probably better. Don't worry too much about that, schools here work too hard to please the students. Anyway good luck on your move.
  25. yes it is a bit ironic that its not pixel. But i actually like it, its a good look.
