  1. Thanks Nuke, I've always liked your tips and guides.

I'll go back to BF. I liked it a lot from back in the days when I traded steel bars or cannon balls for ores for XP and a coal profit... ok, and some extra money tbh.

I'm not convinced that this is a better option than certain other methods... but it *could* be.

    Errr... certain other methods?

Why stop there, run to another awesome Report... I can't wait

    ;)

  2. Oh, yeah

The game will become a single player experience, which may be good or bad, depending on your opinion of the Runescape community.

Great Community it will be... of

    single player(s)...

    And...

JaGex should remember than a MMORPG is meant to be played in the less possible individual form, because if I wnat to play myself with myself, I would preffer to save the 5$ at month and buy a console to play the Legend of Zelda 24/7.

A MMORPG is like a virtual world, a recreational hang-out that trasports us from the rutine of the real life to the awesome fantasy worlds of knights and proud people for having a pixelated armour that costed them arround three years of their life.

And teaming, chatting, and otherwise being in a multi game.

  3. Werewolves course (Canifis) is as fast as wilderness, safer, and you fail less, but bring food as its not as close to the bank.

In your case, instead of satying in brimhaven, i proly would like to go to the desert pyramid for a ltl while, perhaps till 70, then ape atoll, which i liked best.

For piramid, desert robes, lightness boots, and any agility cape (spotted, spottier) would help, penance gloves (barbarian assault) too. 4-6 waterskins and rest lobs will do for like an hour of training. You can bank in Narda.

For ape atoll bring too some gp to buy stews in case you need more hp than pineapples.

  4. Awesome discovery, thnx m8. Thnx also to all that tested lunars.

And i almost thought crafting was over for me.

It also revives one of my loved moneymaking skills.

    As for:

welcom =p, now to find a good way for sand...

Free sand at your bank after "Hand in the Sand" quest.

You just need to ask for it once a day in Yanille.

  5. Without a doubt there is no 'faster and cheaper' way to raise smithing.

    Take a plow through this.

    Not the same

    And...

in doing that recommended thing you lose the smithing xp from the bowl, and smithing is all about this guide.

When I had found out about the bowls my crafting was already 87. I was already in too deep with crafting, so I decided to keep making amulets until I get 90 crafting. But if your smithing is still in the 60s, 70s, or 80s, this is definately something to consider. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=596342

    .

  6. I was directed to world 70 and found it full with ZIM crafters, they even had their own clan chat: ZMI crafters.

Its good because with so many ppl you almost get through without any damage and, of course, you get a tele group back for free almost every time.

Keep up the good work runecrafters !!!

  7. Please add the form exchanger. i forgot about it and took longer to figure out how to solve the machine.

And... I could house teleport from the cave on my scouting trip

Also, in the final combat you can hide from at least one of them using the columns in the room. I did this by happenstance and it was easier to concentrate on the battle without more damage from the 3rd.

    Good quest all around !!!

    And good guide, congratz.

  8. I liked its brevity... a lot

to the point and that's it

thank you very much, it was very useful.

My 2 cents: Ardy Fairy Ring Code = DJP makes banking with glory in Edgeville bank and Fairy to get back easier and free ;)

and... using only one inventory spot too = 1 more egg to bank per trip. :)

  9. You dont need antis for PP if you have done Brain Robbery. You can use the holy book prayer with Saradomin holy symbol on to cure from poison. It does not take any prayer.

You can pray protect from melee if attacked by the mummy and recharge at the temple souhwest from the pyramid.

Using flutes and lockpicks lowers thieving exp... a lot.

You can bank in the bank under the temple at the upper far east of the town, and walk to the agility pyramid to sell your items thrugh the hole in the wall at the east wall behind this temple-bank.

Simon does not take noted items nor the Mummy.

    Good luck and have fun...

off to try garden for a change :S

  10. For high level crafters, I would like to know if someone has tried power glassmaking in the city Dorgesh-Kaan under Lumby?

Those lamps give a huge amount of xp and i wonder if there's a fast way to make them too ...

I reckon it will be awesome to find a way to powerblowglass here as besides 70 crafting exp per Empty Light Orb, the Crafting guide says: " You can gain an additional 104 crafting experience by adding a Cave goblin wire to the Empty light orb. The Cave goblin wire can be pickpocketed from a Cave goblin or picked up from the wiremaking machine, which is located in the south-west side of Dorgesh-Kaan, next to the furnace/anvil.

  11. A clanmate of mine had another cool idea that should be considered too:

Are you sick and tired of having your bank clogged with quest items that you many need later or use from time to time! Well, I am! angry.gif

If you would like to see a quest chest for your house to hold those items, please add your support to my RS post.

    Way to go Lapi !!!

  12. Lets nor forget that, following swampjedi's Pixels article spirit, MMORPGS are social networks that extend and support real people.

And the other important dimension beeing a business: customer service is way more than senseless pro-forma autoreplys. There is (or i dare say there should be) responsibility.

On the other hand of this, Marketing-wise they're letting opportunity pass them too not acting on all the wonderful ideas and needs posted and voted on.

Research in a number of academic fields has shown that social networks operate on many levels, from families up to the level of nations, and play a critical role in determining the way problems are solved, organizations are run, and the degree to which individuals succeed in achieving their goals.

  13. Awesome article, that makes 3 in a row !!!

And Andrew's reply... wow, amazing, it seems they really care.

Let's hear them about all the wonderful ideas to make it better.

MMORPGs are a very special class of game because, unlike single player or even multiplayer offline games, they encourage cooperation, interaction and imagination as well as competition. Every player plays the game in a slightly different way. Every player has different goals. Within the constraints of the game we all customise our gaming experience to suit ourselves. If the author of the game has too restrictive a vision of how the game plays out, then all that imagination and creative energy is lost. The beauty of MMORPGs is their open-endedness, the huge variety of gameplay they offer and the ability of each player to play the game as he or she prefers.

    Emergence is hope

Emergence is a fascinating phenomenon because it explains complexity through intrinsic simplicity. It says (or we take it as saying) that left to ourselves, without extrinsic structuring or regulation or governance, we will be magnificent.

This is beyond the hope implicit in democracy that says a group will be able to live together if all are given equal power. We won't just live together, but something far beyond the capabilities of any of us will emerge: Simply by being together, cathedrals will emerge...

  14. I used SS till the upgrade, then deleted it. Im using mIRC for Clan chat, and our forum.

Now im lacking till its legal again. Not quite there but close from what has been said. I used Tiko too.

Both good ones. I specially miss SS skill planners and calcs.

I already commented on 3rd party clients on the weekly thread, and the weekly post from the editors did it better that i would do it.

This post it to congratulate Jagex of a work well done. Not only they did not prevented 3rd party clients use, they speaded the word, and they encouraged it with the uproar they raised.

    Lol

    Kudos !!!

  15. You got it absolutely right!

Wonderful piece of your mind btw, i loved it all.

    The Editor

    ...

It's a measure of the huge success of RuneScape that these third-party clients exist in the first place. They are also an indication of the limitations of the game as it stands. If people didn't feel the need for the utilities they provide, then they wouldn't create them in the first place, nor would they find others wanting to use them.

    ...

However, I rather think that Jagex missed the boat on this one. The time to have acted was a few years ago when these clients first appeared. I don't think that they realised that some clients were developed not as a means of cheating at the game, but instead as an attempt to add value to it honestly.
