A107
Let's face it. The last good album was New Adventures in Hi-Fi. Eleven years without a Platinum album. No I am not a Bill Berry purist, although they aren't as good without him. Up was a dismal failure, as alot of people (including me) thought it was too electronic. Reveal was a halfway decent album, but unfortunatly was overproduced. Around the Sun was....... boring at best. Their new album is being produced by Jackknife Lee who helped with U2's How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, which got an RIAA certification of 3x Platinum. The only problem is Atomic Bomb bored the freaking hell out of me. So will we be bored out of our minds by R.E.M. and their new producer? Let's hope not. I believe that Stipe & Co. should get back to the good ol' raw boned rock of Life's Rich Pageant and Document. Hi.
