I weep for the kids at my school. All they listen to is country (preps), metal (nerds), or rap/ hip-hop ("gangsters"). Only my teachers know some of the music I listen to. U2, R.E.M., Morrissey, The Smiths, The Killers, Joy Division/New Order just to name a few.....

Song you'd want to hear if the world was coming to an end?

Panic by The Smiths...... It kinda fits lol. or I will See You in Far Off Places by Morrissey. P.S.- I can tell that some of you are picking songs you have heard off Guitar Hero 3--- be original- there is more to life than hard rock or metal. Speaking of R.E.M.-- new album supposed to be out April 1st -
Oh sorry, this is my first post in this forum.

With the new reaper hood, I noticed it reminded me of a Ringwraith from Lord of the Rings. How cool would it be for TET to organize an event where you dress as a Ringwraith, and do the same stuff together? (i.e.- training pking, hunting down little hairy-toed midgets, etc.) Just a thought. My current outfit for Ringwraith costume (I am free player, so its not as good as members))- Grim Reaper Hood Priest gown and bottom (or dark wizard robe and bottoms) Mime boots and skeletal gloves (or leather gloves and boots) Silverlight Black Cape Idea for members- Grim Reaper Hood Black Fremmenik cape (for full black color) priest gowns again (if you have anything better, please post) mime boots and black gauntlets Darklight onyx necklace or ammy or for the ghostly Ringwraith like when Frodo put on the ring- Full ghostly robes Yep, I'm a nerd...

Well I'm torn. I have absolutely no idea what to do. I always had a plan to get defence to 40 but not this soon. Sorry I guess I should give a little background. I have a f2p range pure/skiller that I rarely pk on, but I keep my combat stats for pking if I ever get that rare urge to lose my items in meaningless slaughter. (Nah, player killing is awesome, its just wearing on my wallet.) My combat stats are- 58 range 43 mage- not for hybrid, but for the skill spells (enchant, teleport, superheat, alch if I ever get that high) 47 hp 20 att, 17 str- planned on range 2h, but nothing came of it 1 def I was training my crafting on cows at Crafting guild, when I was thinking about the Dragon Slayer quest. I was wondering if it was possible to even do it, with my stats. When all of a sudden I had this urge to do the quest. I am about to do it right now- but I am having second thoughts. Do I want to ruin my pure? If I do the quest my defense will skyrocket to 33. Thats 8 combat levels. It really isn't ruining my pure, as it is making me to train range for a long time to catch it up. In simple terms----- Give up my Pking oppurtunities? Or stay with the 1 defence aspect of pures? :-k I was also wondering when should I kick in prayer? If you actually took the time to read this whole thing- God Bless You  and thank you for your advice if you are willing to leave any.

174,000. That's how much range xp I have (lvl 55). I have 700 brnz, 2700 irons, and 700 steels. How far will that get me? My goal is to get range as high as possible with the arrows i have and picking up my arrows. Thank you for your time.

That would be OK Go with "Here It Go's Again." Not to keen on the song but i like the music video.

New Order. "Hooky" rules the bass guitar.

Classic Rock? What's classic? When's classic? See it is almost like you guys are confining yourself in an era of music, and won't let anything else into it if it wasn't released by 1979. WAKE UP! Thank you. In my opinion here is what is classic- Joy Division- Ian Curtis and Co. created a whole new genre- post-punk- and inspired The Killers, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, and to a lesser extent- U2. New Order- After Ian Curtis killed himself, the three remaining members formed New Order. New Order continued the post punk trend with their debut album, but quickly changed directions and with the help of Blue Monday (the best selling 12" of all time) and Bizarre Love Triangle, became one of the best bands of the 80's and definitively became the best band ever to incorporate dance/electonica into rock. and the bands that are classic but I dont feel like writing a short summary of- R.E.M.- The band that carried music from post punk into alternative rock. Muse (you may flame me for it (keep it nice), but these guys will be remembered later on) U2 And there you have it.

Well, I'm not one that likes rap or hip-hop, but Toby Mac is pretty good- He combines rock, rap, hip-hop, and a bit of pop into his music. who cares if its Christian music its still pretty good

Bleh, Davey is living out his "Let's Impersonate Joy Division's Style and See If It Will Work!" dreams. Just stick to inspiring emo/goth people to cut themselves. In simple terms- Joy Division can never be topped, and no one can come close. (musically, New Order can equal JD, but they were the music of Joy Division and not the voice, lol.)

And one more bassist----- Peter Hook- New Order.

If you're British and have posted on this thread- be ashamed..... I'm American and I LOVE New Order!!! New Order for best dance band and Blue Monday for best dance song.

I can honestly say (I'll probably get shot) that I'm not a big fan of SP. I just heard Tarantula a few months ago, and figured hey, this might be good. The best songs off the album are 7 Shades of Black and Come On Let's Go. It was a fairly decent album- 3.5/5

Heh, why do you think I hold doors open? From The Tom Leykis Show.

I hate that song too. The best version is Automatic Baby's cover. Automatic Baby was a supergroup of Michael Stipe, Mike Mills (R.E.M.'s vocalist and bassist, respectively), Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. (U2's bassist and drummer, respectively) Watch this video of their only live performance- http://youtube.com/watch?v=A6P2jy_dzkM In fact if anyone knows where to buy this, I will be very grateful.

Hmm.. ARREST OUR PARENTS!!!!!! 'Nuff said.

If you're starting a band, I would get someone in your band to do it so you wouldn't run into copyright issues. That's just me.

Doomsday Clock 2. 7 Shades of Black 3. Bleeding the Orchid 4. That's the Way My Love Is 5. Tarantula 6. Starz 7. United States 8. Neverlost 9. Bring the Light 10. Come On Let's Go 11. For God and Country 12. Pomp and Circumstances for full details go to this- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeitgeist_ ... s_album%29

Wow you are right-- there are only three good songs on How to Dismantle... - Vertigo, All Because of You, and Fast Cars. Thanks for warning me (and thank you Youtube for having songs for free viewing). I'm going to go have a "talk" with my friend.

Tarantula is on all of the different versions. Don't believe me? Go to Wikipedia.

I have started getting into U2 ever since I bought u218 Singles. Anyway I was wondering what are the essential U2 albums and/or songs for a cash strapped American teen? I was thinking about getting 80-90, 90-2000, and Achtung Baby. I currently have: The Joshua Tree The Best of 1980-1990 U218 Singles So far here is my list of what I am thinking about buying (by order of release date): albums: Achtung Baby Best of 1990-2000 Songs: Stories for Boys A Day Without Me A Celebration Recommendations so Far-

Well Zeitgeist was released exactly 2 weeks ago. I got the album, and I have to say I'm impressed. So is America as the thing debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. But what do you think? Do you think they should be using the same name? After all Iha and D'arcy aren't there. Do you think Billy Corgan is an attention [bleep]? I want to know what you all think. Long live the Pumpkins! P.S.- The best song would be 7 Shades of Black, in my opinion.
