Is Guthan's Warspear Long Range? ~ Answered

After just buying Full Guthans (Finally), I was talking with a friend about Hellhounds. I thought that Guthan's Warspear was long range, and he didn't think it was. We launched into a discussion about spears, which came out inconclusive. Neither of us really knew whether Guthan's Warspear, or any spear in general, was long range. So being my lazy self, instead of testing it myself, I am asking you. Is Guthan's Warspear long ranged? Are any spears ranged?

If you go there good things will transpire.

Only Halberds can attack over a space. If you mean "safe spotting" with any spear, including Guthans, than no, it's not long ranged.
