Hammer, need C/C (3d..)

Well I know absolutely nothing about 3-D programs, but it looks great for one of your first tries! Next maybe start working on incorporating more textures (particularly in the wooden handle) and a bit more realism. Right now it looks pretty cartoony. Once you get the hang of it, maybe start taking imperfection into consideration (to add to the realism idea). Again, I don't know anything about these kinds of programs, but one of the aspects of the hammer that makes it look cartoony is the fact that it's so.. perfect (smooth, flawless, no dents/rust/decay).

Also, the top of the hammer looks too small compared to the handle. I would consider either enlarging the actual hammer part, or making the handle thinner.

But overall, nice work :)

True, but then I would have to add a bunch more vertices =\. I will try at least! (give me about 10 minutes)

EDIT: Here it is... The smoothing isn't on as much because the vertices in the wire frame aren't uniform enough, but I think it looks better now :).

My dad is a carpetner, :P. The one I made was a ball peen hammer. At first it was actually supposed to be a claw hammer (what destro3979 posted) but I got kind of mad at it after it wouldn't stop turning into wood! :P. I think I will call it quits for the hammer, making a bow right now!
