Basically it's a love/Chris Brown style song that I took a stab at though I think it sounds more like Young Joc R&B. The song is completely clean and so far I've only recorded a verse plus the hook on it but I have the other verses ready just getting a sample out to the public. I'm looking for opinions on this song and if it would do good and if I should purchase the beat I'm using for demo use.

 

 

 

Personally I think I'd have a shot at making this good if I tweaked my mic and recorded louder rather then having to jack the sound up on the recording and getting that annoying buzz sound. I'll be putting out a completely finished product tommorow or Saturday. PEEP IT AND KEEP IT. Also rate/post too :P

I'll be honest, that does NOT sound like a rap. It is MUCH more along the lines of R&B, not really a cross of both. Anyway, I think it's okay, it had a good beat to it. The lyrics seemed..uhm...I don't really know how to put it...I didn't really like it, the lyrics seemed really shallow, but that's just me. Remember, you called this a rap, so I'm reacting towards it as a rap, not as an R&B song, even though that is what it's like.

 

 

 

I'm one of those guys who listens to the heavy kind of rap that would make you think, such 2Pac, Nas, Wu-Tang, etc. So stuff about ballers (Though the definition has been chopped up over time now), aclohol, and sex with gold diggers doesn't really appeal to me.

 

 

 

So, good beat, shallow lyrics, 6/10.

There's 2 other verses to it and I didn't mean to give off the impression it was shallow more along the lines of something like, if you're cool with it then yeah it's alright but if you wanna play hard to get I don't mind you know, it was a flirtacious line then a straight up "hey wanna go [bleep]?"...was in no way talking about a [garden tool] :P But I also listened to pac for awhile and loved his lyrics...I have another song but the lyrics aren't suitable for tip it if you would like to get the link I'll send it to you via pm
