A better Runescape client (Help me with new ideas)

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

I'm not sure if this was the right place to post this, and if it's against the rules or not. If it is posted on the wrong forum, please move it for me moderators :) I just have a few questions, that's all :)

I have been playing runescape since 2001 and I'm still missing a few functions in the same window as runescape so I decided to make a new, better version of the client. I know there are some runescape clients out there already, but I rather make my own mostly because it's fun :)

The big difference between my client and many others is that mine is webbased, no downloads required (same as on runescape.com). I've talked to jagex a bit, and I know what rules to follow to make it legal. It's made for people with high resolution (at least 1280x1024), the higher the better.

Anyway, these are some of the functions that I have come up with this far.

Calculator (Java)

Highscore checkup

Picture upload

Individual player gallery

Not everything is working 100%, but almost everything. What I'm currently working on in the printscreen button you can see in the menu, it's pretty difficult though. If any java coder is up for a challenge, please give me a pm!

I have come pretty far in the development as you can see but I need to get some help from other runescape players. What functions are you missing?

Oh, if you're looking for the link, I don't know if I'm allowed to post it or not so we leave it as it is for now.

Nice, that has been suggested before though, Maybe wrong forum too, Suggestions Forum would be much better

ooooh wow very nice! but i think its the wrong forrum not sure

If those buttons on the left take you to pages on the runescape website then this is against the rules.

"It must not bypass the normal navigation of our website for users wishing to reach the game worlds. The software should initially only point at the front page of http://www.runescape.com, and should require the user to navigate through the website normally to reach the game worlds. The software must not contain or acquire direct links to our "Select a world" page, or to our game world pages, or to the RuneScape applet."

It isn't breaking against this rule?

they said you could still bookmark worlds and create seperate html's for each world.
