this is not my guide a friend wrote it a while back and forgot to post it so im posting it for him. this guide is a few months old so some prices may be wrong.

Mining

A player who can go into the mining guild earns money fast. Sell Iron ores for 50

to 100 each, Coal for 200 each, Silver for 300 each, Gold for 150 to 300 each,

Mithril ores for 250 to 300 each, Adamantine ores for 1k to 1.4k each and Runite

ores for at least 11k each.

Smithing

When you've got a decent amount of money; you can buy ores/bars. Smith them

To get your level up. It takes a long time, but you earn a lot after you can smith

rune items. Having 85 mining can help because of the ability to mine runite. Runite

ores can sell for up to 12k each. If you have 85 smithing, you can smelt runite

bars, which sell for even more than runite ores (requires 8 coal to smelt).

Fishing/Cooking

Train fishing up to level 40 so that you can fish lobsters. Before that, fishing

doesn't really earn much money for you. Fish lobsters and sell them. Cooked

lobsters sell for more and are easier to sell so I'll recommend cooking them. You

need a cooking level of 40 to cook lobsters. Sell cooked lobsters for 150 to 200

each.

Woodcutting

A skill that earns a lot of money, but you need a lot of patience. Keep training your

woodcutting level by cutting trees until you can cut oaks. Then, keep cutting oaks.

Even though willow trees give more exp, I've noticed that cutting oaks give better

overall exp. Cutting oaks give more exp per hour because you miss less often, as

compared to cutting willows. Once you've got woodcutting level 60, go cut yews. I

would strongly recommend you use a rune axe before cutting yews, because it

takes a long time. Sell yew logs for 250 to 350 each.

Herblore

(Members)- A great skill to have, but takes a lot of work and determination. A great

way to make money off Herblore is to make Prayer Potions. Prayer potions are

high in demand because they restore 33% of your total prayer level, which helps a

lot of pkers. They go for around 7k each and only requires a level of 38 to make

them.

Runecrafting

(Members)- Runecrafting is good because you can buy your rune ess instead of

mining it and still make a very good profit. Natures can sell eaisly for 300 each,

Law runes can sometimes be worth even more. You can also run Natures or

Laws, just bring rune ess to a crafter and he'll give you rune in return for free. All

you have to do is deposit them in the bank and repeat to get free runes.

Crafting

Not recommended for non-members but it is still a way to earn money.

Craft gold bars into necklaces/amulets/rings and sell them to the general

stores. The only good way of earning money from crafting is by making

diamond amulets (requires crafting level 70), enchanting them into amulets

of power (requires magic level 57) and selling them for about 10k each. A

good way of leveling up crafting is by making holy symbols, as they give 50

exp each.

Thieving

Go steal stuff, ( My Dirty Little secret, You can also get rich from silk, have

5 of your good buddies steal silk for you and have them trade you their silk.

Once they trade you, sell your silk to the silk merchant for 60 gold coins

each. Once you sell them your friends will have another load ready, keep

repeating this and you can easily make a mil in 4-6 hours. You get around

1620 gold coins per each load of silk you sell to the merchant. With 5

friends they will get you around 2 loads per minute. You're friends will get

the thieving xp and you will get the cash. I guess this is why I only have lvl

16 thieving, and they are up to 70 already. So you will get 3240 gc per

minute, and around 194,400 Gold coins per hour. So at this pace for 5

hours you will get 972,000 gold coins.) You will have to be a member to do

this. The silk stall is located in Ardougne. A lvl 3 noob that's a member can

do this.

Fletching

You can make addy arrows and sell them for 150 each, you also can make

yew shorts and longs and Hi Alch them for cash. You can make an easy 1-2

mil a day with this skill. You can also make arrow shafts and sell them for

10-15 gold coins each.

Melee/Ranged/Magic

The 3 combat skills can be used to defeat monsters which can drop good items

(most good item drops are members only). If you're lucky you can get dragon

items dropped from a monster, which sell for a lot. Being good in these skills also

helps with pking (Player Killing) and staking (members only). Killing a skulled

player in the wilderness will mean that they drop every item they have, if you get

lucky you can pk an Abyssal Whip, or other valuable items. Just remember the

combat triangle: Melee beats Ranged, Ranged beats Magic, and Magic beats

Melee.

Combat Training

Low Level Players:

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Try killing chickens. Each feather you gather from them will get you

15 ea if you collect 1k or more of them at a time.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Kill cows, if you bank the hides you can sell these for 100 gp ea or

more if you collect a lot of them (500+)

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Goblins are also good training because they drop clues.

High Level Players:

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Kill Giants. Bank the big bones. They will sell for 500 ea if you collect

them in bulk.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Slay Dragons. Blue dragons are the safest and easiest to kill. Collect

the hides and bones, or bury the bones for experience and bank the

hides. They will give a very nice profit and can be sold in basically

any amount.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Train on the monsters that drop treasure trails. The profit from the

clues will provide a nice income. These include ice warriors, all

dragons, greater demons, paladins, and hell hounds.

Misc. Ways to make a quick buck:

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ You can also walk around the dragons and pick up the dragon hides

as people fight them. Just stay back a little and be careful. Most

people are there to level up and don't pick them up. Dragon hides

sell for 1.5k to 3k each depending on the color.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Other ways to make money is to check the general Stores. Everytime

I go to Varrock General Store on world 20, I always see heaps of coal

for like 25 gc each, and Iron ore for 5 gp each. Buy them up to resell

later.

Free to Play Ways to Make Money

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Chickens drop between 3 ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 15 feathers and when sold in bulk can fetch

10gp each so that is anywhere from 30gp to 150gp per chicken. The best

chicken coop is the most popular one is south of Varrock, north of

Lumbridge.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Cows drop cow hides that when sold in bulk sell for 100gp each. You can

easily kill 100 cows an hour and that equals 10k per hour.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Mining ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Mining is a very easy and profitable skill to train. You can mine

iron ore at level 15 which is very easy to get to with minimal training. Iron

ore sells for about 100gp each. You can mine iron just south of Varrock

and the trip to the bank is very short. The best ore to mine is coal. The

best place for coal is the Dwarven Mines. There is an entrance in east

Falador. Go to the east bank of Falador then continue going east. There is

a house a bit east of the bank in Falador with stairs in it. Once you down

them, you will be right in the middle of the mine full of coal. Be very careful

of the King Scorpions, they are tough for low level players. You can mine

all the coal you ever dreamed of there. Bank your coal, and repeat until at

least 1,000 coal and then sell on forums for 150 ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 200gp each.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Bone collectors ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Big Bones sell for around 300gp each. There is a place

in the wilderness that big bones spawn. It is toward the eastern part of the

wilderness about at level 24 deep. This is called the bone yard. The bone

yard is guarded by skeletons so if you are a low level you will want to

avoid them. But there is an advantage of being a low level doing this.

Very few people will be able to attack you there. If you are level 6 they

would have to be level 30 or lower. Most level 30 and lower people do not

venture this deep into the wilderness. After about 3 trips from the bone

yard to the bank you will have 100 big bones that you can sell for 300

each. That̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a total of 30k.

Members Only Ways to make $$$

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Buying Vials - You can buy water filled vials at East Ardourgne West

General Store. They are 12gp each and you can sell them for 200gp each

in bulk. Bulk means in amounts of thousands. 1,000 vials at a time.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Picking flax. - Just south of the Seers bank is a field of flax. You can pick

it up and sell it in bulk for 100gp each. It is very close to a bank so your

travel time should.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Thieving - High level thieves can make great money. The best place to

thieve is from the seed stalls in Draynor. Seeds are stackable and you can

stay there all day and not have to go to the bank even though the bank is

right there. Once you have 1k seeds, you can sell for a great profit by

posting on the forums.

̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Picking flax ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ You can find a flax field just south of the seers bank. You

can sell the flax for 100gp ea. It does not take long to pick 1,000 flax just

40 trips to the flax field. Once you have 1,000 you have made 100,000gp

ahh!! My eyes!!! Try spacing it out more and your missing some basic elements of a guide. Also the content is pretty well known and you don't go into much detail.

EDIT: Whoops sorry, change all those "your"s into "your friend's"

How exactly is this a merchanting guide?

Merching is buying for low and selling higher if I'm correct...

This guide is telling you how to use your skills, in the most common ways I might add, that somebody uses.

3/10...Bad organization :(

Not trying to be rude or anything, but....

This guide is AWFUL. I didn't bother reading more than the first paragraph, it has no pics, doesn't give much detail and all the info is common knowledge.

1/10 :(

perfect grammar is one thing, typing like a drugged monkey and enjoying it is another

AMEN!

Wrong forum, and let your friend post the guide in the Player Made guides forum if he wants to.

You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
