countzeroh
Ok, I've seen it mentioned Previously that Oak Doors are significantly faster Xp than Oak Larders. (and I to tend to believe things Tripsis in particular says about construction :-) ) The bit I don't get, Oak Larders are 8 Planks each, and Oak Doors 10 planks ea, Maximum inventory is 28 slots, however I would think you'd need one for cash, one for noted Planks (or logs), one for hammer and one for saw, leaving 24 slots available. So for each 24 slots, its an easy and even 3 Larders.....but 2 and a bit Oak Doors. So I don't see how the Oak doors are quicker? What Am I Missing? I'm happy doing Larders at the moment, as I don't quite have the level for oak doors yet, but its coming, so I just want to prepare myself as best as possible for that time. Any input appreciated
tripsis
Here's what I did: Inventory - GP - Noted planks - Hammer - Saw - 24 unnoted planks Process - Start out with a full inventory - Send the butler to the bank to unnote planks. While he's gone, build one door (sometimes I get lucky and am quick enough to get two in, but lets go with one for the sake of this explanation) - When he returns, he will refill your inventory and he should still be holding some in his 'inventory.' Make more doors until you cannot make anymore with the planks you have in your inventory (you should have 24 planks in your inventory. So make two more doors so that you're left with 4). Then talk to your butler to refill your inventory. - Now he should have no more planks (in his 'inventory'). Send him back to the bank. Since you just refilled your inventory you should be able to make another door while he's gone... so you're still making doors non-stop. I hope that makes sense! :ohnoes: So in both scenarios you're making furniture nonstop.. the only difference is that when you're making larders, you get 480 xp per 'build.' For doors, you get 600 xp per 'build.' So it takes the same amount of time to build, but you're getting more experience in that time! Phew! Using larders, I averaged 150k-200k xp per hour, depending upon my laziness. With doors, I averaged more like 200k-250k. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
