SHIPPOU
the best way to learn is reading examples, and tutorials (for me any ways). I want to learn C++ in it's full capacity. Currently all the tutorials, and books I ran across tell me how to program a calculator, and say stuff (all of it in win 32). No were can I find using graphics, buttons, windows, how to creat files, how to read from files...all your basic knowledge to create a normal Windows program. Befor you say "look on gogole" or simple pasting a link from the first search result that popps up, pelase read the tutorial....everything I've found tells me how to program a calculator (including C++ for Dummies), and use varables....Been looking for relevent info for 5+ months now. (i'd switch to java if it did what I wanted it to do) ********** One of the old guard of RS. zonda
You could switch to VB :D Well I can't actually help you sorry to say. I have learned QBasic, C++, and Java... right now I am teaching myself visual basic, but let me tell you I HATE C++ so much of C++ is completely illogical and rediculous. Qbasic was a ton of fun, visual basic really builds off what I learned in QB so its pretty easy. Java was much like C++ with the sporatic random brackets all over, I dunno, just me ranting. ... SHIPPOU
LSL is sorta like java and c rolled into 1, and I understand that, well enougt o wright stuff using it. Problem is it's very limited, and only usefull in SL. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_Portal I've looked into VB, but from what I know about it, it can not handle modern applications. ********** One of the old guard of RS. Yes, I've often heard that C++ is much more powerful and flexible then vb.net but meh, I dunno how much truth this holds and either way I am still against it. :-w ...
