So I've heard red chinchompas are the best range experience when used in the tunnels under ape atoll, I have a few questions and would basically like a detailed description of what to do to utlize this training method the best.

 

 

 

Is food used or do you bring prayer pots and leave on melee protect?

 

 

 

Give the best gear to use. Would pure range attack bonus be better, accumulator, robin/rangers or do you need some gear with some defense. This would depend on if prayer is used.

 

 

 

Is a cannon used at the same time?

 

 

 

Is there a specific location in the tunnels that's the best.

 

 

 

What kind of range experience a hour can be had using chinchompas in this manner? And roughly how many chinchompas are used to per hour.

When training in the dungeon, It is very important you always have protect from Melee *ON* Without it you may die in seconds.

 

 

 

The best gear, would be the highest range armour you can wear aswell as any other equipment that gives range bonuses, the higher the bonus the more exp.

 

 

 

You need NOTHING giving defence, concentrate it all on range, and if it doesnt effect your range bonus, some pray bonus stuff too.

 

 

 

I would recommend taking range potions so you fully take advantage of the chinchompas.

 

 

 

A cannon is not used at the same time, All though, thinking about it, it might help get more monsters near you.

 

 

 

I would recommend going round under the shelter bit of the second corner after the level 149 skeletons first start spawning.

As for exp per hour, I managed to get almost 200k in 1 hour at 92 range, and used 1800 chins and not quite a full inventory of prayer pots. Take an anti-P pot and a shark aswell :)

Alright. I will try one of two spots around the 142 spawns listed. Either the first one suggested or the one on the bottom between the two spawns. I figure the trick is to lure all the skels around you and they will keep rising back up so cannon isn't needed.

No, You stand under the ledge, Falling Rocks dont hit you. Also, Be careful not to stand on those trap [bleep]e things in the ground :)
