durtraiku
first why not create a "old timers forum" were the vets of runscape can talk about the "good ol times". Also how about a theme of the week forum. so you can start a thread with an idea and only allow people to post and after that week lock that thread and put a new one and leave the old ones readable just not postable so that people can go back and read the old threads so it's a bit more organized
mastermule52
The second idea sounds interesting; sort of like a time capsule. The first idea I would have to disagree with. First off, you would have to draw the line somewhere. Those who are "just shy" of that line would be rather upset. So you can't have any definitive line. This means it would probably be filled with two sets of people - "new timers" who want to "act cool" and "old timers" who probably would be a little snooty about their new status. And let's not mention the new timers that act like old timers. Meanwhile, the people who would be worthy of the respect that an "old timer" should receive would be out on the rest of the forum making worth while posts, avoiding the flame wars. In theory, a good idea. In practice, not so hot. :P The refuge that you built to flee that places that you've come to fear the most ... is the place that you have come to fear the most.Operator - http://www.heartunit.orgCouncil - http://z8.invisionfree.com/skillazModerator - http://forum.meebo.com
durtraiku
yeah you do bring up a good point with that 1st thread idea even if you made 2 sub forums for oldtimers and new comers im sure it would become a flame war the still immature old timers would go and thrash the newer players and same. but yeah happy to see you got what i was tryin to say.
