What's the most cost effective way to train magic?

Featured Replies

Through combat that is. I had enough with the high alching and fletching and will only resort to that in low amounts of bows. I currently have 82 magic right now and want to train on slayer monsters while using magic so I can train my slayer skill.

The cheapest would probably be fire bolt with chaos gauntlets, although I would recommend magic dart. You'll hit 18s, and won't have to switch spells should you get a Turoth assignment.

Of course, fire strike is way cheaper than either of those, but it will take forever.

you can do pc and use your commendations on mage xp.

Well, you can use mage against almost all monsters but not all monsters are in a place with a safe spot.

It would come out a lot more expensive in the long run using mage to train your slayer in my own opinion.

what i would do: melee your slayer, range most of the monsters that you can safespot, mage when you have leftover runes. Dk's is amazing mage exp, barrows is decent while you make money with both.

Summary: A. Melee your slayer tasks, pc mage or

B. Melee slayer tasks/dont do slayer and mage at dk's and barrows.

Option B ftw 8-)
