Why everyone buying black scimitars?

I spend most of my time in world 1-5 and i always see ppl buyin black scimmys for 10k. Im curious of wat they doing with it. Any help is appreciated

it's because they go with full black armor, which is the "coolest" armor in f2p, a lot of ppl wear black and so they want the scimmy to go with it
