Okay, so I have a cable that fits the plug for my Motorola Razr V3M and my computer recognizes it when I plug it in. When I plug it in it asks me if I want to check for updates. I've clicked yes and it doesn't find any but then it says there's a problem with the device. I've clicked no and it says the same thing. It won't appear under My Computer after it's plugged in a USB drive and I'm not spending the money to buy a Bluetooth card for my computer.

 

 

 

Does anyone know how I can get it to let me transfer music from my computer to my phone via a USB cable?

 

 

 

Edit: Was playing with it and stopped to read the error. Appearently it can't find the necessary hardware. Any idea where I could get it? My phone didn't come with a CD so I'm thinking it has to be online somewhere..

You can either purchase Motorola Phone Tools or use some of the various 'p2k' tools available online.

 

 

 

Installing the p2k drivers can be a bit complicated, so here's a tutorial. The p2k drivers and p2kman can be downloaded here. You can/should ignore any instructions related to flashing your phone.
