Zilch - My Band

Me, my brother, and one of his friends got together one day and decided to make a band. We called this "Zilch". We already have wrote, practised, and recorded six songs. We are a hard rock and kinda emo band. We are not generic emos that slit our wrists, we just appreciate the emo music genre.

 

 

 

We could not make these songs on our own. On two songs we are featuring Boats. He is a very talented young singer that is realesing a solo album self titled Boats. We also featured "Death Makes You Die", a death metalband consisting of Kyle, the vocalist, with Eric on the guitar.

Sam - Guitar

 

Sam is a very talented guitarist, and useally plays the acoustic guitar.

 

 

 

Me, Ben- Drums

 

We could not afford a drum set, so we improvised using everyday materials. We think it actually turned out very good.

 

 

 

Jon- Vocalist

 

Jon is a very good singer, he sings his songs with all of heart. It really adds to the song when he really means what he is singing.

The lyrics to this song don't look appealing, but "Shut up!" is actually a metaphore about dying. When you die, you are silent. Shutting up is the same thing as dying. You really have to understand this metaphore to enjoy the song.

I don't really have much nice to say about this song. I actually refused to drum in this song because I did not like the lyrics. Cutting yourself is nothing to be proud of, and you should never inflict pain to yourself, or other people.

Normally I do not like talk about suicide, but this song really touched my heart. THis song is aboud Boats' past. When Boats was young his parents died in a fire. He was a "loser" at school and had no friends. He thought about suicide until he found his talent. He i a verygreat singer, and is a happy person today.

Death Makes You Die knows that this song will be a hit, so they told us not to show the lyrics or post the song. They want to save this song for the album release. To hear a similar song, you could go on to Death Makes You Die's myspace, but they and Zilch promise a mix of alternative blues and death metal in this song. This song is about murder. It is supposed to explain the consequences of what could happen. I really do not recomend commiting murder.

Zilch has promised not to leak any of this. For all you homies out there, you should know that Zilch is going rap for this one.

 

 

 

Finally I would just like to say that Zilch, Boats, and Death Makes You Die do not support murder, suicide, or anything of the sort. We just like to play our music.

 

 

 

We would also like to say that we are working on more songs, but me and my brother will be on vacation for a few days and not able to check up on this thread or make new songs.

 

 

 

Finally, we are working on a live performance in Illinois that will be filmed by an ameture cameraman. This performance will be on a stage at Comunity park where huge bands such as Smash Mouth, and the White Stripes have played on.

 

 

 

I will post up the songs for you all to download for free tommorow, I am on my mom's laptop right now so I cannot post them.
