tripsis
It would help a lot if you told us how you plan on going about this. In my opinion, there are two main ways to level any buyable skill:[*:5rxvecbp] The slow but cheap way [*:5rxvecbp] The fast but expensive wayIn the case of herblore, you can choose one or the other, or even something in between. If you go for the cheap way, the most popular methods would be making prayer potions and/or super restore potions. You lose very little, if any, gp in the process. If you choose the fast but expensive way, then you can pretty much make anything else. For example, I'm almost 97 herblore and I've been making sara brews since level 84. I buy bird nests (the second ingredient) and water-filled vials. Then I trade sara brews for toadflax. Using this method, I will have spent ~150M getting to 99 herblore, which is a lot. The "in between" method would be buying un-identified herbs. If you buy regular unIDs they're usually 1kea. If you buy something like unIDs over ranarr, they're more like 2kea. Once you buy them, identify the herbs, use the ones you need and sell the ones you don't. Hope that helps. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
majin_buu139
if i did the cheap way by making prayers/super restores, what items for the potions should i buy? like for the herbs, should i buy the herbs or the seeds and plant them, should i buy the 2nds or just collect them, should i buy vials from players or npcs
tripsis
Well buying flat out is always the fastest method. Even if you bought all the ingredients for prayers/super restores, the process will already take you a couple months at best. So if you want to farm/collect seconds, I'm betting on 6+ months (or even much, much longer if you don't play very much) to get 99. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
Ethiery
I really can't offer great methods, but I do this. Buy Avantoe seeds 1k each, plant and grow. 1k seeds yields roughly 6k herbs. (And it's soooo much closer to your Birthday now, maybe even for a second passing.) Now, if you wish to make alil money doing this, I recommend getting your own Mort Myre fungi, but I just buy 1k each. Farming, each herb costs around 150ea (Quick guess, and some die, some don't, very variable) Vials 250ea Fungi 1kea I sell Super Energies for 2k each. Now, problem and where this hits a wall. Selling Super Energies is like selling ice to Eskimos..... Not many need them, and those who do, usually buy 10-20 at the very most. A man who doesn't read, is no smarter than a man who can't read. Berrakus
I like to focus on what I do with each Herb: Guam Leaf - The only herb I don't collect Marrentill - I use these with my Gilded Altar Tarromin - I sell these easily Harralander - I sell these easily Rannar Weed - Prayer Toadflax- Sara Brew Irit Leaf - Super Attack and Super Anti-poison Avantoe - Super Energy Kwuarm - Super Strength Snapdragon - Super Restore Cadantine - Super Defense Lantadyme - Magic and Anti-Fire Dwarf Weed - Ranging Torstol - Zamorak (no market, but it is the only use for Torstol) I then either sell or use the potions that I make. Dragon Drops - 10 Meds, 9 Legs, 5 Skirts, 2 Left HalfPM me to have any potions made or crafting done
