The White Knights (Interactive story)

Recommended Posts

Okay here is an interactive story... I guess... Choose two options down below, the first choise is what i'll continue the story. Even surrendering will continue the story.

***

The White Knights are an organization of great strength, wealth and power. They Control the majority of the land, and have much power. Recently, though, the kingdoms power has declined. Although they are extremely wealthy, the King has been pouring Thousands of gold coins into the wars against the rebellious factions. The Two rebels have been the Barbarians who settled and have a nice fortification in the Center of things. The other, The Black Knights. Although they are unorganized, they are a great threat. They have an ally in the north, The Dark Alliance, and they have been reinforcing the Dark Knights in there battles. Our Kingdom is going into debt, but thankfully the merchants have been able to do some fine trading to hold some of the money. To the east lay the Druids. They are very in touch with the God, but there help will come only in prayers. There is a suspected rebellion forming north of them, so we are in a tight position. The king is hidden somewhere, leaving you in charge. Join the other leaders in a briefing if needed.

Briefing (Choose two options)

The wars are looking bleak, and if action isn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t taken, we could end up losing our great kingdom. Our vassal won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t help, so we can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t count on them Here̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s some ideas our military geniuses have made. Careful with what you choose, some of these ideas conflict with each other.

-We take out the barbarians with our knights. Our guards can do fine defending from any rural attacks.

-We work on fixing our economy and leave our men to guard the city. After our economy is up, we go offensive.

-We send some men to watch the men north of the druids.

-We keep the barbarians under siege with trebuchets and keep them from recruiting more soldiers. Then we take back Edgeville and use that as a stepping stone into the Black Knights.

-We watch over the monastery. They might help us if we free them from the black Knight grasp.

-We go on one major offensive against everyone, leaving our defenses down. Everyone will be under attack and won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be able to attack us.

-Nothing. We surrender to the enemies.

If its first come, first serve then...

Fightt the barbarians, Make sure that the archers take as many of the barbarians as they can before battle is joined, After a little while, fall back and let the dwwarves begin the bombardment.

The barbarians pushed and shoved amongst one another, egar to battle there counterpart. The White Knights braced for impact, the archers ignighted there arrows. The fearless barbarians let out a mighty roar as they collided into the White Knights.

Swords clashed and swong, and flaming arrows covered the men. It was an intense battle.

Suddenly a group of barbarians ambushed the archers who were hiding behind the Knights! This was not good! The two Defensive Dwarf Cannons were firing, but it was little help.

I say that you pull the White Knights into a position so that they can take on both enemy forces without splitting up. Have the archers provide cover fire while the rest of the Knights set up in this new position, then let both forces have the full fury of the White Knights.

Take no prisoners and ride out to meet the black knights, if the black knights begin to overwhelm our forces, retreat (this part is the custom bit) while retreating, attempt to keep from losing the Trebuchets with their lives.

Army of Doom and One winged Angel would be good for this...

Duck and cover under the dwarf's building, try to make it so that only so many black knights can go in at a time, then kill em. If a break happens, send a few of your men to try to distract the knights and have your men escape.

Interesting.

A little hard to read, a little spellchecking and formatting would help.

But, quite unique.

An enjoyable read so far, will wait to see what happens next. :anxious:

Great job so far

Yeah sorry about spelling and Grammer. This might be the best time to point out the fact that I am German :P... As I think my signature says English is my third language.

Glad to know it is interesting!

I'm sorry about not uploading for about a day or two, my grandfather just died and I had the Wake and funeral yesterday and today. :( I'll finish the story and post now.

Okay I tried to make thisone alittle more intersting and give you more things to choose from to make up for the two days.

Amik knew the battle was turning up wrong, and knew retreating would end in failure, as well as a charge. Both him and I knew we could die at any moment.

Okay, then how about I make this interesting for you?

Stay and defend, then, if the enemy shows any weakness attack, Weak soldiers attacking the trebuchets, Archers covering.

If the enemy does not show any weakness, pretend to surrender, then kill the leader with arrows just before opening the gates.

If you all die, surrender...

And then have a bunch a barbarians(in the metaphorical terms) run riot across the country side, and storm the place anyway...

My master plan would be thus:

Give a solid defence, use seige tactics and throw food and gold at the enemy to disorganise them. Then organise your archers to give a HailFire. Once this has happened you should gain a few hours of peace. Because their forces have lost their structure.

Stay under seige for a while.

Cut down a few useless trees and then place a gould of Boiling oil on the planks. So you have something representing a Pazerfaust. The gould must be pretty east to break. Perhaps use maces as the base rather than just wood.

Hurl the weapons at the trebuchets if they are in range, if not hurl into the archers.

This will cause them to retreat to a safe distance.

You will then only really be under long range attack, and this is a very time consumminng exersise for the enemy.

So you have to wait it out for...2 weeks I would say.

During that time build more of these weapons, and if they try to rush your defences then hurl them at them.

Eventually you will probably start running low on food. To solve this problem, you must ensure that the enemy is sufficently weakened for you to attempt a break out charge. If they are not then leave the gates open for a few hours and when they come bombard them with eveything you have...There bodies should be enough to keep you alive for another few months...and they are weakened on top of that, so its a pretty good plan.

Finally after much work, and maybe some alliances with other cities or races you will beat the hoard and be able to escape...predicted runtime- two and a half years.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Archimage, very interesting, but I believe in my first post I say "Choose two options down below, the first choise is what i'll continue the story."

For some reason I am absent of any options that take two and a half years to complete... And it is first come First serve, sorry.

- Come up with an ingenious plan to stop them (custom. Please don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t make it too complicated)

See the above, for the beginning anyway.

OR!!!

- Come up with an ingenious plan to stop them (custom. Please don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t make it too complicated)

But because you are picky...if not then just defend...

have 1,000 archers on the walls, (1,000 more at the castle), 3,000 Knights and Guards at the Gate, (1,000 at the castle) and yourself.

The enemy has 7,000 Knights and Mercenaries, 300 ladder men, and 2,000 archers.

I would gather all my 2000 archers into the town square or large open area and let fly with HailFire. I would use any resevers to give them arrow shields.

I would then send about 100 men up to stop any ladder advances, throwing their ladders off doesn't take alot. I would keep 400 in reserve so that they could fight off one of two break throughs.

I would send 500 to be just outside the gates, its a smallish area so they can only break through slowly, forming a shield wall similar to the English Shield walls that defeated many an attacker. I would have a second wave of about 400 behind them, both as a second line, and as arrow defence(Shield above head).

I then have 1600ish guards left. Because the shield wall will eventually break I would barricade the door, using about 50 men to do that(Hold it closed) If they got though that then I would use a method know as Crossing the T. My men run passed in a sort of sudden attack, single file. They are forced though a bottle neck so they will be...maybe 5 person rows. Using the T method the rows get cut down pretty quick. After a few rows are down they will adapt to this plan. So the Arches will have formed up into a inverse Pyrimid.

^

_

This is so, because armies charge at the center, the edge will be defended by guards so they will be forced to run alot futher to kill the line. Anyway this will have taken down maybe half to three quaters of their forces, losing...maybe 1200(The shield wall and wall defence) of mine. So I will use my reserves to slaughter them in another Crossing of the T. This should take them down to less than 1000. Giving me a Tactical superoity of 1 to 1, and archers which would be 2 to 1. I would then proceed in firing HellFire at them, maybe from buildings, and using my troops to decimalate them...I would reckon there would be causuties of about 1200 on my side and 2200 of their side. They would surrender of retreat because of the costs, and they are now 1.5 to 1 on troops alone. The archers would peg a few more off as they ran....giving them maybe 500 to leave with. Or they continue fighting and have maybe 200 left and inflict 200 casuties on me. Either way they give up.

Their archers are not a problem because they are depending on the soliders for support. They will eventually give up. Playing a small part and causing maybe 50 deaths. If they don't give up then it will be a long slog in killing them all in a big charge. But very deminished troops...about 1000 left, to their 2000....may make this differcult. So I would use my undimnished archers, on the high ground walls to rain death upon them. Making them give up, or eventually become weak enough to go home...

Very big, complicated but you will have about 900 knights and guards, and about 1700 archers left...Which is pretty good considering the damage is potenially 6800 knights, 300 ladders and 1000 archers...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I thought I was righting the story!!?!?!? Well there is no point in doing this next post since you already desided how the battle would turn out, absoluty every single tactic and everything...

Hell I'm tempted to copy and paste most of it...

I could just ruin everything but I did say custom.

But did I not say not to complicated?

Hmm.... I'm completely lost

EDit : PLease try to pick from the options, and the custom to be not so long... and detailed...

Well....Ok then.

Send you people to the predetermined places and then make up a story to go with it...

Or....

Just use the story as a guideline, there are alot of ifs so...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

How about just position all Men to The fort after

*Having the masons Set up Iron [bleep]es near the Doors

*Put forks (prods) onto the walls (Historically, ladders could not reach with forks in the way)

*Kill a whole bunch of cows and put their carcasses near the gates :-X

*Bar the doors <.<

*Smash the Bridge, and Wall up the fort entrance. Make sure to bring kegs of water along with you. No need for food, the chickens respawn. :XD:

Do you fear bronze?

Do you you fear that useless armor?

All your metal laid bare...

All your PKs punished?

I can offer...Iron
