I have seen people mine for a long time. I have also noticed arrows on both sides of the inventory screen. I was wondering if there is a way to improve inventory space somehow. If anyone can help clarify I'd be grateful. Thank you.

Erm, no, you only get the 28 spaces your inventory allows you.

 

 

 

Those people miming were either not getting the rock or just powermining - mining and dropping the ores repeatedly, to gain experience.
