Image posting Error message

Alright, here's what happened. I created an avatar using MS paint, making sure that it was not more than 100 pixels wide and 100 pixels in height. I went to my Tip it profile, and selected "Upload Avatar from your Machine."

 

I hit browse, and selected my file. Again, it was DEFINITELY not more than 100 by 100 pixels. After clicking submit, it loaded for a few minutes, and then finally I got this message:

DEBUG MODE

 

 

 

SQL Error : 2006 MySQL server has gone away

I do not know what this means, and am hoping that someone out there does.

Well I'm no phpBB expert, so I couldn't tell you exactly what the error means.. but..

 

 

 

Are you sure the avatar was less than 8kbs in file size? Did you try uploading it to an image hosting site such as Image Shack and then submitting your avatar through the "Link to off-site Avatar" option?
